In the legal field of today a paralegal is a an essential part of any legal team in every field of law. Working on the team the paralegal brings many necessary skills and abilities to help their supervising attorney. If I was to work in a courtroom on a legal team I would want to work on the team of the attorney who is representing the plaintiff. I would want to work on this attorney's team because I think that as an attorney representing the client he is trying to help the
client resolve a problem. To me that is an admirable position to take. As this attorneys paralegal 1 would be able to have a part in helping the attorney work to obtain a positive outcome for the plaintiff that the attorney has been asked to help with. I also think working

for the plaintiff's side would help me to interact with people who need somebody to listen to them. I think of all of the ways a paralegal can be helpful to an attorney and legal team that this is a necessary skill.
By listening to the client and keeping a positive demeanor I could help build and improve the clients trust and comfortability with our legal team so that we may better help them in the endeavor in which they have asked or assistance. Trust and faith in our legal team would be an important component of our relationship that will need to exist between the plaintiff and the legal team that are trying to help that person. Showing the client competency and efficiency in the handling of their case is necessity of being a paralegal on the legal team. As a paralegal your actions would reflect upon your legal team and your supervising attorney so it would be ones professional duty to act in a competent and professional manner. could be to interview the plaintiff. Interviewing the plaintiff would allow the paralegal to serve the attorney by gathering information for the plaintiffs case while the attorney works on the putting the case together. A paralegal could also assist his attorney by doing research on different topics and older cases that could give an example of how to better deal with the specific case at hand and how to best resolve it proper and efficiently for a better outcome for the client. The paralegal could also assist in the attorney by briefing a case for the legal team in preparation for the team so they may better understand the case at hand and what type of content they will be seeing in this specific case. This would help the attorney better prepare for how he will deal with the case once he goes into court so that he may better represent the plaintiff to the best of his abilities. Another important duty of the paralegal would be run a background check on the plaintiff to see if there could be a possible conflict of interest so that the attorney can decide ifhe wants to accept the plaintiff as his client. lfthe case takes awhile and is a particularly drawn out case the paralegal can also reach out to the client on behalf of the attorney and let the client know that the attorney and legal team have not forgotten about the client and that the attorney and team are dedicated to helping the client, that they have not been forgotten about and that the attorney would like to thank the client for their patience. These are all many ways that a paralegal could serve an attorney to help a plaintiff as a member of a legal team. I think that helping an attorney serve a plaintiff is important and should be done efficiently. That is why I would want to work with an attorney helping a plaintiff. If I could work in my choice field of law it wo ld be family law.
I would want to work in family law because I think that family law is one most Important fields of law because it affects everybody regardless of age or gender. Everybody has been a member of some family or another at some point in their life so everyone has dealt with or will have to deal with family at a stage in their life. There are so many aspects of family law that are of interest to me as student. From marriage to adoption are just a few of the topics in family law that are of importance in this field. Learning about different types of marriages and marital statuses are of particular interest to me. Reading about how to get married and what requirements one needs to be married are interesting given how they can vary depending on the type of marriage, whether it be ceremonial with a minister or non ceremonial being performed by a judge. I would also like the challenge of being presented with a wide scope of problems that I would get to work with as a member of the legal team. Since family law has so may different aspects the would a paralegal would have to deal with there would be so many different topics and subjects I would have to study and learn about and that is something that I would like to do and that I am very intrigued by. Divorce is an interesting subject because there would be assets that would need to be divided and that would require a lot of research into the multiple different types of property and how they would be
divided and where they would need to be sent and who would get to keep them. Working in family law I would get to have many interesting responsibilities as part of the legal team. I could help the attorney in drafting proposed settlement offers and gather information from the client to help put their case together so that I can put it into a brief for later to deal with the legal team. I could also learn to draft a subpoena from an attorney so that we could use it. Working in family law would also give a chance to help an attorney help children. Children are people that you will come across often in family law and sometimes the well being of a child can depend upon the outcome of a case. I think that helping a child is very important and that working in the family law field would be a proper way of going about trying to help a child out of a bad situation. Also, working in family law would help me to better understand the legal dynamics that come with being a member of or having a family. A paralegal in the family law field would also get the chance to deal with interfaith marriages which is something I am interested in learning more about as well as common law marriages. Another interesting topic for me would be dealing with properties and estates after someone has passed. Getting a chance to perform an inventory check on all of the different properties and assets would be of great interest and an important learning experience in that particular career field given the types of circumstances in which some of the property estates and assets will have to be dealt with. Life insurance is another topic within family law that I would really like to work with given that it would contain a lot of information regarding the future well being ofthe surviving family members ofthe deceased who had the policy. Child custody would be radically different topic but a challenge. I would work in that particular field to work with an attorney who is trying to help children get to a good home where they can be cared for. That is why I would like to work as a paralegal at an establishment that deals with family law because it is a field of particular interest to me and because I think that there is a lot of important information to learn and goo that can be done in family law.

Per the State B...

As I became more involved with campus life, I couldn’t find a way to immerse myself in preparing for a career in law. While I knew why I wanted a law degree, I couldn’t conceptualize what I wanted to do with it. Prior to college life, my familiarity with the legal system was by way of internships with judges and lawyers. Clearly, that traditional route perked my interest but not my passion. Living with the athletes affirmed my interest in their culture. I began to immerse myself in subjects surro...
If I had to choose between working on the plaintiff or defense 's side I would definitely choose the defense. The defense, also often known as the deep pocket, can provide you with a steady pay. I know that for me personally I would not want to be worried about
The paralegal profession developed as legal secretaries assumed additional duties to help attorneys with their workload. The NSW Criminal Justice System is adequate when dealing with young offenders; however, like any legal system it does have its limitations. The NSW Criminal justice system does uphold the rights of the young offender by providing juveniles with special courts under the Childrens Court Act 1987 (NSW) by providing special protections under the UN’s Convention on the Rights of the Child; the recognising of culpability in regards to the age of the young offender by implementing doli incapax and by arranging a variety of diversionary programs and alternative punishments. However, the limitations of the NSW Criminal justice system in relation to young offenders is Doli Incapax in the The Childrens (Criminal Proceedings Act 1987) NSW which fails to recognise more serious offenders and The Young Offenders Act allowance for youth justice conferencing is not being cultivated for a wide enough range of offenders, leading the exclusion of some young offenders from the benefits that conferencing can offer.
The Attorney- Client Privilege is the agreement between an attorney and their client that mandates the communication between the two parties to be fully confidential and undisclosed under any circumstances (Sheila 138). There are various cases that highlight the importance and practical use of the Attorney-Client Privilege that could help one better understand what this entails. A specific situation in which the Attorne...
The occupations that I have chosen to analyze using the three elements for this assignment are paraprofessional, what I am currently, and a teacher, what I am going to college to become. Teachers and paraprofessionals work side by side, collaborate, plan, and share many of the same experiences. However, paraprofessionals are often not treated as equals and has created some ethical judgement regarding treatment of the paraprofessionals from other teachers and administrators in the business of education. I want to use this assignment as an opportunity to distinguish the true professional using the elements designed for this course.
When the initial time and place of the interview is in place, I will mark it down on the calendar. Everything must be neatly organized and confidential documents need to be kept out of sight of clients. There are cases where the interview gets emotional for the clients and they tend to cry, there needs to be tissue at the clients reach for their convenience, if at any time they have the need to grab one. When client's arrive a formal smile and a handshake is given, afterwords I introduce myself as ''I am Yesenia Lopez, a paralegal employee with this firm.'' ''My role as a paralegal is to prepare your divorce forms for you, tell you where these forms need to be filed to, make phone calls to the appropriate parties,
