The article, “Why Consider Becoming a Teacher”, states many reasons to consider becoming a teacher. Some of these reasons are very important in making my decision, while others have no importance to me. Some reasons stated as an influence to chose to be a teacher have no importance to me. One reason that personally has no importance to me is enjoying lots of vacations. Even though vacationing is a nice way to get away from work and to relax, it does not cause make or break a career for me. Personally, I rather love what I do without vacation, then do something I am not passionate about and vacation often. Another reason, some stated for choosing this profession was because they receive a high level of autonomy. This reason personally …show more content…
In my classroom, I do not want to my students to feel as if they are being governed, I want them to feel comfortable and able to voice their questions, concerns and opinions. Being a student for life also has no importance to me. Whether I be a teacher or any other occupation, I believe I would be learning something new everyday. Therefore, I believe it is more important to pick the job I love, rather putting an importance on being a student for life. There were also many reasons that stood out to me that had a role in my decision to chose the field of education. One reason is to experience the joy of making a difference. I personally feel that being an educator is a very fulfilling job where I am able to make a difference in a child’s life. Realistically, I know that I can’t be the teacher every child remembers for the rest of their life, but if I can have that impact on at least one child, I would feel successful. Whether I help a child in a subject they don’t understand or help them when they are going through a difficult time, I believe it is fulfilling to make a difference in their lives. Another reason stated in the article that is one of my reasons for wanting to become a teacher is to love my job so
Why do I want to become an elementary school teacher? There are so many different things I love about teaching that it is hard to answer this question. The main reason is that I want to transfer my knowledge and ideas to children who can further the things I have taught them to become successful. Many teachers throughout my life have been a big inspiration to me. They have taught me many things about basic knowledge and also about life. They have made education fun and exciting. My teacher’s did such a good job that it actually inspired me to be a teacher myself.
Do you like working with children? Have you always wanted to work with a team? Are being patient, kind and a good communicator some of your assets? All of these qualities are necessary for being a Teacher Assistant. Additionally, being a Teacher Assistant is a job where you work with both children and adults utilizing these qualities.
The profession teaching is one of the oldest in the world. And it is certainly one of the noblest. The teacher or the guru, in the ancient world, always enjoyed not only the patronage but the reverence of the state. Teachers like vishnusharma or Socrates exercised a powerful influence in building up the mind and morals of young men. But in those far-off days the profession was not organized. It was an affair of the individual. The learned man would invite and attract pupils who would live with him in close and personal communion and learn from him through his examples as much as by his precepts. He would impart to them what he knew and make them heirs of his mind and inheritors of his wisdom. Perhaps the range of what he knew was limited but his depth was profound. He was poor in the worldly sense, but his intellectual life was rich beyond measure.
There are many reasons people decide to enter the teaching field. Some enter because they enjoy working with people or children, others because they like being off during the summer months, and still others because of their love for a particular subject. Although all these reasons are valid, I feel my reasons are much simpler. The bottom line is that I love kids and enjoy working with them. My desire to make learning a more positive experience for them has only increased with time.
Now that I have told you what has led me to this decision I would like to tell you exactly why I have chosen to become a teacher. I want to become a teacher not because of the salary nor because I want weekends and holidays off; rather, I want to become a teacher because I truly have a passion for making a difference in others lives. I feel that teaching is perhaps one of the most fulfilling roles in life. Becoming a teacher to me means helping to shape another person by teaching and instructing them.
I believe teachers should serve as role models and be the center of a classroom. In order to maintain that students stay on task and are all on the same page, the teacher needs to serve as a guide and direct the students. I do not believe that students learn best in a textbook based setting, but that textbooks are important when referencing material. I believe all students learn differently and look for new ideas or ways to teach lessons and concepts, so that my students can learn as effectively as possible. I also believe that a teacher teaches much more than the subject. It is very important for students in my classroom to something other than the subject that I teach. I want them to learn life skills that will help them in more areas and aspects of their life other than education. I believe my students should strive for hard work, dedication, and integrity, and go beyond learning just the content of a
Many people on this earth grow up saying they would like to make a difference in this world. However, half of those people do not feel like putting in the work in order to do so. As an elementary education major, making a difference is one of the main goals. There are many benefits of becoming a teacher, and students benefit as well. In order to have many students successfully graduate from one grade to the next a teacher should be willing to put in as much work that is needed. Elementary school is where children are set up for the rest of their education. It is important to understand how to go into this career field, becoming a teacher has its own benefits, and the children are able to benefit from teachers.
High school is a place where the foundation of our life is formed. Our performance there will often determine our path is society. High school AVID teachers show you that your GPA is not just a number, but a indiction of our strengths. They are the ones who help us find are path in life. High school is where you decide your future.
“I wanted to become a teacher to be able to make a positive difference on the future of children. For me, it is fulfilling challenge, stimulating the next generation to become lifelong learners. I have always been grateful to my mom (who is a retired teacher) for implanting values in me. I feel I should contribute what I have learned and experienced over the years. This way I will be paying back and at the same time can fulfill my desire of enhancing the education system.”
I have not always wanted to be a teacher. I always knew that I wanted to work with children in some way, but I was pretty sure that teaching was not for me. I was well on my way in my junior year of college working toward a biology degree so that I could become a pediatric physician’s assistant. I still cannot explain what happened, but one week I was a biology major, and the next I knew that I have always been meant to teach children. I suppose I just took the longer route to get there than most people do. The two main reasons that I have chosen to become a teacher is that I believe that teaching is extremely personally rewarding in many ways and the fact that I can actively make a difference in someone’s life.
As we reminisce and reflect back either on our childhood or academic career, we tend to have that one teacher who was memorable to us in some way - for their sense of humor, their stellar personality, or perhaps having that charisma and charm no other teacher had to make a difficult subject and it 's concepts fun to learn. While knowledge is power, I firmly believe that it is rather the exchange and distribution of knowledge that is power. When one can educate the masses there is no doubt that together we can accomplish great things. Becoming a teacher would mean the opportunity to be able to witness the shaping and molding of the minds of the future generations and the satisfaction knowing that you have helped your students set themselves onto the right path and provide guidance towards the creation of a better tomorrow. Choosing to become a teacher will allow me not only to educate my students, but also educate myself to be a better teacher throughout my career. I believe it is a function of human nature to want to change the world for the better. In adulthood, I have learned that the improvement of the welfare of the world must begin with
There have been many factors that have inspired me to this career choice. Watching my teachers, both past and present, has inspired me to become a teacher. I have a genuine interest in lifelong learning and as such I have the desire to not only instil knowledge and values to others, but also encourage them to share my passion for learning. Social Justice and leadership roles at school, along with my extra-curricular involvement with Cowra Youth Council, have highlighted my ability to work with and for the benefit of young people. In essence I know that my abilities and aspirations will make me a good teacher.
His eyes seemed to appear as if a thin gloss covered them and thick deep black circles engraved his skin below. His facial expressions displayed emotions from curiosity to worry. He walked in with both parents clutching his hands and an interpreter followed the young Chinese couple. Neither he nor his parents spoke one word of English; the only person to help cross the language barrier was the so called interpreter, who turned out to be little help in the future. In the midst of trying to communicate with the parents through the use of the interpreter we gathered little information about our new student. We did however conclude that two days ago the family boarded a plane in a small town in a rural area of China and endured a 13 hour flight to come to Houston, Texas. The way the innocent young Chinese family appeared, I could tell they were still adjusting to the time difference. Their reason for leaving their home remained up in the air. The interpreter however became helpful in giving the basic information of our student’s name. Recognizing that any normal American’s tongue would become entangled with each syllable of his real Chinese name, his parents decided to define our new student as George. During the rest of my internship, it would be my obligation to teach George the basics of English grammar and to try to immerse him into the United States culture, without knowing that he would significantly change my outlook on teaching completely.
My choice to become a teacher is one that I always felt in my heart. As a child I always looked up to my teachers with such admiration. My elementary teachers had a way about them, they would teach us content as teachers are supposed to do but, at the same time they had this loving atmosphere about them. When you walked into their classroom you knew that you were loved no matter what. As a child this meant a lot to me because I was a child of a single mother who was always busy with work or other household duties. So being able to have that loving atmosphere at school with teachers who genuinely cared about me and what I had to say was very important to me and it has had a lasting impression on me.
When I hear the word Professional Teacher, I immediately think back to all my teachers that helped me succeed and graduate high school. To me a professional teacher is to be able to teach the children how to be respectful to others, teach them how important it is for them to always be honest, and most importantly to keep in mind that I am their role model. A person whom they will look up to for the entire year. For this specially reason I will strive my hardest to be a very professional teacher.
