Learning can be defined as simple for some and difficult for others. Everyone has a different way of learning new material. In the first paragraph I mention a story about a man who wasn’t denied to learn and just gave up, but then starts reading and finds a new love for learning. The second paragraph, the story is biography about a lady who was struggling to learn and study, but meets a group who makes learning a whole new and exciting thing. The last paragraph mentions different skills to enhance the brain.

Some students can comprehend right away what is happening, while some may need some time to study, to fully comprehend the passage. In the essay, “Jordan’s “Excerpt from ‘A Self-Portrait’”,” author Barbara Jordan states what it was like to learn in a new and strange world. She discuss during her college years how she studied and how it helped her. Jordan notes, “I would have to work harder, and study longer, than anybody else,” (52). Learning for Jordan mainly took her multiple hours, just so she knew what the instructor was talking about the next class period. But, later on Jordan mentions a group she meets and how her studying process changed. Jordan mentions, “But once you had talked it out in the study group, it flowed more easily and made a lot more sense,” (52) meaning when students are learning together it makes the learning enjoyable and easier to grasps since they’re other brains around. I can relate with Jordan because if I didn’t understand what the instructor was teaching, then I felt like I was the only one who didn’t grasps it. But, when I work with my peers I figured out I wasn’t alone and we helped one another. Studying with peers on the same subject can make the schoolwork seem less stressful when they’re multiple brains functioning on the same
