Introduction
Aviation has a huge environmental impact to the environment and society, the aircraft engines releases a noise that affects human life and the particulates and gases that are released from the aircraft engines contribute to climate change and increases the global warming. Despite the emission reductions from cars and more fuel-efficient and less polluting turbofan and turboprop engines, the rapid growth of air transportation in the recent years contributes to an increase in total pollution attributable to aviation. In the European Union, and increased greenhouse gas emissions from aviation increased by 87% between 1990 and 2006. Like any other form of public mass transportation that relies on resources that are extracted from the planet for e.g. Oil, and the airline cannot be considered sustainable in the long-term too. Because of the limited resources in which the Aviation relies on, it is more realistic to think how to improve the sustainability of the air transportation rather than achieving a sustainable development. Demand for air transport is growing constantly and, if this demand is to be met with all the benefits associated, the community or society must also accept the costs like; (Pollution, Aircraft noise, Environment change, risk, and resources consumption, etc.).

CO2 molecules absorb infrared outgoing emitted from the Earth's surface and lower atmosphere. This has caused an increase of 25-30 %, it was observed in the concentrations of CO2 in the atmosphere over the past 200 years of the high temperature. There was a lot of discussion about how it can be achieved and stabilize the concentrations of CO2 in the future.
* Nitrogen Oxides are presented through the atmosphere. N2O are very powerful in the chemistry of the troposphere and the stratosphere, and they are very important in ozone production and in the destruction processes. There are a number of sources (the oxidation of N2O like lightning and fossil fuel combustion) whose contribution to NOx concentrations in the upper troposphere is not well measured.
Pollution is a major problem for all of us. People need to recognize this situation so we can start making a difference to this problem. In order to start making a difference, the federal government should increase gasoline tax by one dollar a gallon. Fifty percent of this dollar will go towards public transportation, since passenger cars and trucks are a major contribution towards air pollution, according to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, E.P.A (10/4, http://www.epa.gov/autoemissions/emsns.html). Due to the expected increase after this is put forth, the remaining fifty percent of the dollar will go towards safety on these transits. When public transportation increases, air pollution will decrease, which will lessen the harmful health risks towards the environment.
As airline industry is a competitive marketplace, the airline companies use new technologies to improve their efficiency and decrease the overhead costs, including ‘advanced aircraft engine technology, IT solutions, and mobile technology’ (Cederholm 2014). The technology changes including technology improvement, new innovation and disruptive technology. The disruptive technology need to meet the characteristics of ‘simplicity, convenience, accessibility and affordability’ (Christensen 1995). The technology changes would bring both opportunities and threats to airline companies. Since Labour cost and fuel costs occupy 50% of most airlines operating cost (Groot 2014). These phenomena tend to have a significant impact on the cost of fuel, overall demand for air transportation, tourism, etc.
The Earth’s biosphere is being affected by climate change in numerous ways. The amount of CO2 in a planet's atmosphere affects the temperature of the planet. As more and more CO2 builds up in the atmosphere, less heat can escape and the planet gets hotter. The CO2 traps radiation from the sun like a greenhouse. This is called global warming or the greenhouse effect. Global warming is becoming a serious problem and CO2 is the major cause. The earth is now warmer than it has been in 1000's of years. The amount of CO2 deposited in the earth's atmosphere from human activities is expected to double by the year 2050. It could possible increase by four in the future with developing countries, such as China, anxious to improve their standard of living.
