1.1 BACKGROUND
The ability to superimpose real-time computer animation onto the real world is commonly known as augmented reality (AR). AR differs from virtual reality where it requires the real time markers for it to function. It allows merging of virtual information with the real environment to provide users with more immersive interaction with their surroundings. AR provides new experience of the real world that is unlike another computer animation that draws the users away from the real world and onto the screen (Hainich & Rolf, 2006).
The technology is still in an early stage. However the potential of AR technologies is growing rapidly, and it can be applied in various fields such as in engineering, medical, entertainment and also in education area. This research particularly interested with the possibility of utilizing AR for education, particularly for young children in science education. AR is able to stimulate new type of interactivity with virtual world. Thus is able to assist in their mental development. Students require the new stimulus to complement the conservative way of teaching and AR can provide new experience to them. According to Billinghurst (2002), the educational experience in AR is the ability to support and smoothly the transaction between two environments, which is reality and virtually.
This study aims to develop the requirement model which conceptualizes how AR could be used for supporting cognitive development in children learning environment which focused on Science subject. In order to promote new experience to students, a prototype for the assisted learning system based on AR technology has been developed. These are several factors why Science is dominates in this study and the reasons for these ...

In a special education classroom, a new world has been opened up. For the younger and lower engaged students, we have the online program starfall. This program is uploaded from the computer to the Smartboard. The students can work on vowel sounds, vowel rules and sight words all with radiant animation in color and sound. They see the words and sounds and make a visual connection. We can also use the online program Raz-kids for the student to read a story on their level of instruction. The teacher can also check the students’ comprehension with a quiz that follows each story. It is like being at a picture show. The big screen brings reading to a wonderful and pleasurable level. The program gives the teacher a report that tells what readi...
Augmented Reality (AR) is a real time direct or indirect view of the physical real world that is enhanced or augmented with computer generated information. AR is both interactive and registered in 3D, combining real and virtual objects. AR enhances a user’s perception of the real world and the way they interact with it. The augmented Reality’s main purpose is simplifying the user’s life, by bringing virtual information to their immediate surroundings through an indirect view of the real-world environment. Although augmented reality is like Virtual reality (VR), AR is an enhanced view of the real world, where VR is a pure virtual environment.
The purpose of this paper is to explain how virtual reality is used in everyday life. It is used in many ways in today's society. Several people immediately think of video games or entertainment when they hear virtual reality. Virtual reality is not only used for entertainment purposes but it is also used for medical and educational purposes. It can help people overcome their fears, deal with and treat social anxiety, and it can also be a helpful teaching tool to connect students and teachers in long-distance learning.
“…in the next few years, humanity's going to go through a shift… We're going to start putting an entire layer of digital information on the real world” (Gribetz, 2016). In his recent TED Talk,” Meron Gribetz encourages his audience to consider how such technology could transform the reality that we call the human experience by referencing augmented reality (Gribetz, 2016). Until the summer of 2016, augmented reality did not have a recognizable role in our lives. Then, came Pokémon Go, a game that gave many people their first notable, combined experiences of augmented reality and telepresence on their smartphones.
According to the article, “Technology and Society-Impact of Technology on Society, “Technologies[..]are being used in classrooms to boost students morale to learn. Visual education is becoming more popular and it has proved to be the best method of learning in many subjects[..]The business community has invested money in various educational technologies which can be used by both teachers and their students.” In other words, this signifies that the use of technology within the educational system enables students to learn the knowledgeable concepts, and as well provides visual education that is a beneficial instructional method of learning among students. This demonstrates how the utilization of technology in society is productive since the technological devices allow the students to acquire a comprehension, by visual education enabling students to apply the presented concepts visually, as the learning method has improved, it is functional, and advantageous to the student's learning process. Based on the article, “Technology and Society-Impact of Technology on Society,” the article outlines, “Transportation provides mobility for people and goods. [..]Technology has helped in advancing [..](1) road transport used by automobiles ,(2) air transport which is used by airplanes, (3)water transportation which is used by ships and speed boats and (4) space transportation used to go to the moon.[..] Technologies like automobiles, buses and trucks have improved the way humans move and how they transport their goods from place to another.” This means that the application of innovative knowledge within the deviating systems of transportation in a community has facilitated the transportation of individuals, mechanisms in transportation has modernized the conveyance between locations. Thus, this exemplifies how the application of technological knowledge
I knew that I would enjoy the simulations because I have always enjoyed hands-on projects in my classes. Before I did any of the simulations I started the three simulations I looked at their titles. The first simulation, “You Are A Founder” really caught my attention because The Founders had many issues that they had to compromise on while making our Constitution. Since I knew some of The Founders issues they dealt with I figured I would not learn as much from it and thought I knew a lot about a police officers duties. Therefore, I thought I would learn the most from You Are A Federal Judge. All three simulations were very informational and eye-opening, but the simulation I enjoyed and learned the most from was You Are A Police Officer. I had never really considered how quickly they have to survey a certain situation and know exactly what to do. Since I found out so much from the You Are A Police Officer simulation I believe it was my favorite. All three were very cool and fun to participate in though.
There are various ways that have been in apply in education by using virtual reality, this happens because the process of education nowadays uses more technology than using the old way like drawing manually. It is also to attract students and to familiarize school students with a variety of existing software that has been designed for ease in education. Virtual reality in education also aims to facilitate the learning process and aims to train the students to be more proficient in using virtual reality software.
The term Virtual Reality (VR) is used by many different people with many meanings. There are some people to whom VR is a specific collection of technologies, that is a Head Mounted Display, Glove Input Device and Audio. Some other people stretch the term to include conventional books, movies or pure fantasy and imagination. However, for purposes of this research, we restrict VR to computer mediated systems. We would define Virtual Reality as a way for humans to visualize, manipulate and interact with computers and extremely complex data.
A source indicates that research has shown that if augmented reality is applied, it may enhance the educational level of the students. Thus, augmented reality still has its dilemmas, such as the costs of its development and maintenance. Meanwhile, augmented reality is being developed to be used in the daily real life. Due to the development of the new computers and the applications that have been made to the educational resolutions, augmented reality is on its final steps to see the light in our daily lifestyle and studying methods (Lee).... ...
Augmented reality (AR) is the virtual object which is combination of 3D real environment in the real time. It is more interactive either with graphics or audio enhancing from what we can sense such smell, hear, see or feel it. In other words, it is duplicate the environment around the world in computer. There are applications in various areas in augmented reality and one of them is medical visualization more domain for augmented reality. The topic that discussed is augmented reality application in computer aided surgery and medicine. In research article (Tobias Sielhorst, Marco Feuerstein & Nassir Navab, 2008) medical augmented reality takes it motivation from the need of visualizing medical data and the patient within the same physical space. The reason for chose this topic because it is because this application more advance and the technologies always bring new visualization and interaction using augmented reality in 3D in surgery performing requirements. So, discussing these topics actually need many evaluations to perceive the result to the area of surgery and medicine in medical performance.
Using technology in education for the purpose of better understanding is a positive step taken by most of the schools, colleges and universities all around the world. Technology can play vital role in improving education systems. You can see electronic gadgets and computers being used in schools, colleges and universities. Audio visual tools are developed to teach complex topics to students in fun way. Faiza Abdur Rab, in her articles ‘Recreational Activities vs. Studies’ said that the lifestyle and education had become more competitive as science and technology is progressing (Rab, 2009). This advancement had brought many noticeable changes in methods and approach of learning and education. This progress is making people of the developing countries to meet the challenges of world. This is also helpful in improving the style and standards of living.
Research which is also known as the search for knowledge is an art of scientific search for specific information. According to Clifford Woody, the research includes defining and redefining problems, formulating hypothesis and suggested solutions, collecting, organising and evaluating data, making deductions and reaching conclusion and further testing whether the conclusion will fit into formulating hypothesis. Research Methodology is a scientific and systematic way of finding solution to a problem. In this research, researcher has studied various steps for research like problem along with the logic behind them. For this study, researcher must know various research techniques like mean, mode,

Striating from the research idea to the culmination of the findings, the research process entails many segments, all of which are imperative. By choosing the research methodology, the researchers can formulate the path to be used in conducting the study and reporting the findings. The methodology helps in the search of literature, development of research questions and the creation of the most suitable study design. It also assists in the interpretation of the results and the publication of the findings in journals.
However, one of the most interesting principle of teaching Science is ‘Children live for the present moment.’ Children live for the activities occurring in this present generation. Considering, technology being used by children in this generation in comparison to children of the past generations. Children enjoy using technology which make the teaching of Science
