Virtual Education is the Future of Learning

All of our lives, we have gone through school learning with many other students in a classroom, and using books. But what if things were to change? What if instead of getting up to go to school, we simply had to just turn our computers on. Virtual Education is becoming a new way to teach and learn. Using computers, students can interact with other students and instructors, go to a history lecture with people all across the world, and even dissect frogs.

In an article taken from the Internet, "The Top Ten Unique Features and Benefits of the Virtual Classroom" explains 10 reasons why a virtual classroom would be beneficiary to a learning environment.

First off, students can learn from a single professor. "Potentially, 100,000 students can be in the same class at the same time, listening and learning via voice, watching the professor write on the electronic white board, posing questions via chat/e-mail, and viewing related materials during class time to facilitate learning." (Leonard, 1997) It can also "support homework submission, immediate web based testing of students knowledge of facts, concepts, applications, and quick links to chat rooms from after class student discussion on every aspect of the professor's points each day. (Leonard, 1997)

Students can also save up to 80% in college costs. Costs are becoming outlandishly expensive now -a- days. So many people who deserve a college education cannot afford one. This way, a college education will be available to almost everyone. Students can also learn from "the best instructors, not teaching assistants, not name only professors who teach, not wanna be's."
