The PS4 has the capability of really getting to know the user and will pre-load content for them based on their preferences. The PS4 also lets the user play a game while they are downloading other things, and its Remote Play allows them to play a variety of PS4 games on the PS Vita system. The new dual shock controller has drastically improved since the PS3. It now incorporates trigger buttons, better analog sticks, and a touch pad that supports swiping and multi-touch motions, giving the player a better gameplay experience. The new PlayStation Network allows gamers to play online multiplayer games, gives the gamer exclusive discounts as well as free automatic system updates. Many people agree that Sony’s Playstation 4 is better than Microsoft’s Xbox One and vice versa. I have been gaming since I was seven years old and still am today. The first gaming console I ever had was the original Xbox. Throughout the years though, technology has improved vastly. The last generation of game consoles gave the industry a much needed boost and gave the consumer another commodity. With the eighth generation of consoles just arriving, a lot of people are wondering which console to buy. There is, however, more than just the choice of games. There’s differences in processors, graphics cards, hard drives, design, operating systems, ports, versatility, stability, controllers, and, of course, the games.
In this Paper I will be talking to you about the Next Generation Consoles and about all of their specifics. Next Generation Consoles are the newest and the best consoles and computers out there at this point in time. The consoles that will be my main focus in this paper are the, Xbox One and the PS4. The reason I picked these consoles instead of other consoles or computers is because I wanted to explain to you that these console were just not any other console, but a work of art instead.

Xbox and PlayStation are known as the most popular gaming consoles of all the time. These two consoles have been competing for a very long time for the throne of the best game console since 2001 until now. ...lah S.). The PlayStation 4 released November 15 of 2013 and had preorders larger than launch sales of Sony’s PlayStation 3 at one million orders. The people have waited almost 7 years for a brand new gaming console. That 7 year wait has tremendously increased the demand for the new console.
I chose the PlayStation 4 as my artifact because it is the computer that provides media and entertainment to the largest screen in a living space: the television. Having a beautiful eighty inch flat screen is useless without a device to play media. The PlayStation 4 is my device of choice to have connected to my TV. It is the jack of all trades, gaming on it is phenomenal, there is a Blu-ray player built in, and it has hundreds, if not thousands, of apps including Netflix. With a PlayStation 4 plugged into my TV I have access to endless amounts of content; A fundamental need to the college life.
In the console-gaming world people know Sony and Nintendo. Microsoft may be the largest and richest software company in the world, but it’s unknown when it comes to console gaming. Microsoft is counting on the Xbox to change that perception. Gamers may not be willing to take a chance with the Microsoft Xbox, even if it is far superior to any console ever made. Nintendo Gamecube is nothing if charismatic. Nintendo’s new machine is half the size of any other console and looks like a toy with its brightly colored plastic shell and handle. It’s destined to be home of such popular games as Mario, Donkey Kong, Pikachu, and Kirby. Nintendo Gamecube seems mismatched as it goes up against the Microsoft Xbox and the Sony Playstation 2 (a multimedia mayhem that Sony says it’s supposed to be “The Future Of Entertainment”). All this makes you think; what makes Nintendo believe it can possibly go up against the ultra-sophisticated Xbox.

By following the strategy that I have given, we can monitor the sale of our product. Once we see an increase in revenue, we can increase our advertising campaign to directly penetrate household markets through TV and/or radio.
