Assessing the View that Practical Issues are the Most Important Factors in
Deciding Which Research Method to Use
In sociology, sociologists will often have to do research into certain
topics to gain a deeper understanding of them. There are many methods
of research that a researcher could use if they were researching into
society, such as observation, questionnaires, surveys, or interviews.
When choosing between these methods a researcher must consider many
factors, both practical and/or ethical. Sociologists are often
uncertain about which issues, practical or ethical, are the most
important.
Practical issues are possible problems with the experiment concerning
actual, pliable, real things; things that are physical and can easily
disrupt an experiment if not properly take care of. Almost all
sociological experiments have practical issues that must be looked at
and sorted out. They are therefore very important to be considered
when embarking upon an investigation. Some practical issues that must
be considered are:
* Cost - how much money will the experiment cost to the
investigator?
* Time - how much time would be required for this investigation?
* Funding - where will the money needed (if any) come from? For
example, Marxists or interpretivists who produce qualitative data
are less likely to get funding than Functionalists or positivists
with quantitative data.
* Access - will it be possible or easy to gain access to a group
that you may want to study?
* Data - how much data will be obtained and how will you store and
record it?
These give us an example of how much has ...

..., and theory into consideration before choosing which method to
use in conducting their research. These issues must be considered to
ensure that a research method is the right one used for both the
investigation and the researcher. If they weren't taken into
consideration, then any research done could end up being worthless and
redundant. All of these factors are therefore important but in my
humble opinion, practical issues are most important as they will
actually stop research from happening whereas ethical and theoretical
problems will not; an investigation can be morally wrong and
theoretically unbalanced but without things like money and time it
would not even be an investigation. So, while all the factors
considered are important, I feel that practical issues are most
important in any research method decide upon.
There are two types of data. They are unstructured and multi-structured. Unstructured data comes from information that isn’t organized or easily interpreted by traditional databases or data models. This is usually in text format.
For everything that occurs, there will somehow be something that caused the action to happen. It is more of a cause and effect ideal or simple a reaction to an action. In terms of research academics, independent and dependent variables are concepts or attributes to certain things that occur such as drug use, crime, or domestic abuse. For example, stress or other personal problems may lead to someone to use drugs. Also, poverty may lead someone to commit crime. In addition, a power controlled individual may cause a partnership to suffer physical or verbal abuse.
Research methodology, is an understanding of the different approaches used to conduct research. Within research methodology validity and reliability are important. The reason, researchers need to understand the methodology, before research is conducted is to ensure that they are using them correctly and ethically and also understand the key concept

In order to have a fully comparative analysis on the Reid investigating method and another alternative method, I am targeting three following psychological concepts to analyze the important components of forensic interrogation, respectively are non-leading open-ended questions, false confessions and components of communication. An interrogation conducted when it is believed that the person is guilty, so if a person is guilty, which may make them feel hard to confess the terrible things they have done. Therefore, whether an investigation would proceed smoothly or not is determined by the questions the police asked. it is fairly important for police to ask questions. Since the suspects are guilty and are rarely willing to tell the fact
The first type of Big Data used in military logistics is the structured data, which is data that has been stored in the databases in an orderly manner. In military logistics, the two sources of structured data are machines and humans. Examples include GPS data, usage statistics of vehicles, ships and aircrafts, and data from medical devices. The second type of structured data is unstructured data, which is data that resides in the traditional column databases and have no clear format in storage. Examples include the mobile data, and data from satellite images about certain terrains (Sagiroglu & Sinanc, 2013).
Currently the world has a wealth of data, stored all over the planet (the Internet and Web are prime examples), but it is needed to be understand that data. It has been stated that the amount of data doubles approximately
196). This process can also occur in a small group setting as well. This is the point where the leader of the group “gets his first intimate look at each possible member. During this interview he can ascertain if group members will “benefit from and contribute to the group” (Gladding, pg. 196). At this point if a leader decides a group member will benefit from the group he will have the sign an “informed consent statement saying the group member understands the group that they are about to participate in” (Gladding, pg. 196).
In this paper, I will define quantitative and qualitative research methods and provide examples in the context of social issues which will hopefully provide insight into how this methods are properly applied.
Like any other science, psychology is concerned with theories and data. Psychologists use a wide range of research methods and techniques that allow them to gather and make sense of the data that they produce. The methods that psychologists use to research and analyse the experience and behaviours of individuals or groups are called psychological research methods. This essay will be investigating and analysing three research methods to include; experimental, observational and surveys, also, reflecting on their strengths and weaknesses of each in addition to their usefulness in the psychology field.
Unless of course, the group is mandatory whereby leaders must do their best to show how it can be beneficial to its involuntary members (Corey et al,
In public health, it is important to know how to evaluate the appropriate research methods that best addresses an issue and establish rapport with target communities or populations. To gain knowledge of this, a vignette on a community health clinic and the barriers keeping minorities from seeking healthcare services will be assess. This discussion will allow public health scholars to evaluate an appropriate qualitative research method to address questions raised in the given vignette and determine how they would establish rapport with a target community or population in order to effectively apply the appropriated research method.
We put all of the data onto the platters. They are inside of the hard
The Importance and Appropriateness of Utilizing Different Methodologies for Research. Introduction The process of research entails the logical as well as systematic search for useful data and information with regard to a specific topic (Jha, 2008). It is also comprised of the investigation of the best, most cost effective and appropriate solutions to both social and scientific issues, following an objective and logical analysis. Jha, (2008) defines research as the search for knowledge and the discovery of the truth. During this process, the data can be gathered from a wide pool of sources among them interviews, books, nature among others. The data can then be analyzed with the appropriate data analysis tools, so as to report the findings
