For all children in the United States it is the law to attend school for up to the beginning of high school. I believe that high school should be optional because many of the material learned in class will not be set to the basic knowledge to be able to work in the real world. This limits the interest of teens for the real world and what they want to be able to do in their lives. The classes that are being taken in current classes helps the basic knowledge of people, but does not prepare them for life in the real world. Teens who are almost adults should have a choice as to whether they should go to high school and choose what course in life they want to take. It is widely known that the criteria taught in school is for all to learn their basic skills and to be intelligible. Although this may be true, a lot of the material learned in class will not be used in the careers that teens will eventually choose. This will give a negative outcome to the future of the people. Teens tend to lose interest in goals easily; so if they are given the option to make a choice to attend high school they will most likely take a …show more content…

Lessening the ability to learn or give options about a career will make teens be very confused on their life choices. If they are given the options to get career skills it will definitely be helpful to them in the future. Almost reaching the age of adulthood teens should know that being given this choice to attend is a great responsibility because after choosing their path it sets up their future lives. High school has not a lot of basic knowledge that will not be helpful for many careers that the teens will chose. The real world career skills should be given to teens in school and its not being given; so they should know if they want to attend high school only learning basic knowledge and then learning the career
