After my cats passed away I wanted to get a new pet to take away the sadness of losing them. Unfortunately I was starting to develop an allergy to cats, and decided I wanted a dog instead. I knew my mom would agree to getting a dog because she would want me to be happy, but to my shock and disappoint she repeatedly said no. My mom said no because I was going to college in a year, and she didn't want the responsibility of the dog when I left. I decided to just accept her decision, and decided to just hang out with my friend's dogs.
One Friday in July I had another argument with my dad over a small disagreement, and I drove to my grandmas like I always do when we argue. In addition to the argument I also had a bad week which caught up to me

After spending over a week with Roxy and connecting with I felt like she was my own, and wasn't ready to give her away. However I promised my mom I would take her back, so I drove her home, but I staged at her house because I didn't want to leave her. When I walked into the door wuth Roxy my cousins ran to steal Roxy because they missed her after not seeing her for a week. Roxy was so excited to see everyone that she started jumping on all the furniture, and running crazily thorugh the house. Since I hadn’t seen my cousins or grandma for over a week we decided to take Roxy to the dog park that was 2 miles away. When we arrived at the dog park there was already 3 dogs insidr, and I fell in love with the dogs that remided me of Huskies; since my dream dog is a husky and golden retriever. My cousin walked Roxy in which was a struggle since the other dogs were trying to escape the gate. Roxy was excited to meet new friends so I took off her leash, and she instantly ran to play with the other dogs. The other dogs kept visting me on the table while I was monotring Roxy, and I secretly wished I could take the them home. After the dog park we all got ice cream which completed out perfect

What is the best dog food? Veterinarians are often hit by that question from scads of anxious dog owners. Every dog owner wants to feed their dog with the best that is available. However, the sheer variety of dog foods and the conflicting views on the best dog diet can leave you quite perplexed. While some experts assert that home made food is best for dogs, others argue that commercial dog food is better. Anyway, we have witnessed a shift towards commercial dog food, owing much to the fast paced life that we all lead.
Most people like dogs more than cats. I like dogs more than cats. More than half a million people in America like dogs as pets more than cats.
I woke up Tuesday morning excited for the day I was going to spend with my mom. I was sitting at the kitchen table drinking fresh coffee listening to my mom and aunt tease and joke around about how paranoid my mom was about doing well in her classes, my aunt was telling her that maybe now that I was there, she would relax a little bit and have some fun. Our plan was to go to one of mom's classes with her, and then on a tour of UNC and then we were going to go to dinner and a movie.
“Buddy and Ty donate time to a literacy program. Link provides therapy for people with disabilities. For years, Ben brought cheer to nursing home patients. What’s unique about these volunteers? They all have tails. And four legs” (Kolich 2). Service animals are a big part of most communities. These animals are trained to perform certain tasks to help those that need them. The world of service dogs involves not only working with owners, but also working around business’ policies, and being aware of the laws against service animals.
Did you know that five million to seven million companion animals enter shelters nationwide each year? Spaying and neutering pets needs to be supported by more communities of people. The American Kennel Club (AKC) is opposed to mandatory sterilization, they state that it, “creates a hardship for responsible breeders.” Spaying and neutering is typically seen by a majority of the population as inhumane and an unnecessary violation of animal rights. The American Veterinary Medical Associations recommend that state and local governments develop effective dog and cat population control programs. Who is to decide what is “effective” enough for the populations, and how would it be done if spaying and neutering is not supported? The spaying and neutering
Dogs are better than cats because they are easier to train, they are protective, they are easier to adapt, and they are active.
Being a teenager my mother explained having a pet was a great responsibility somehow I was frustrated she didn’t understand my passion and love for dogs! Nothing in the world would convince her to let us get one. She claimed I can have a turtle if I desperately wanted to have a pet. I couldn’t agree.
Cats are better than dogs, and you don’t have to do much either. First, cats do not have to be trained. According to an article written by Dee Em called “Why cats are better than dogs,” it states “dogs have to be trained not to jump on people.” Dogs can be quite an annoyance to train. A cat doesn’t need training at all unless you want it to learn how to fetch a ball or stand up.
Since people have been having pets there's been a debate about which pet is best. People are still questioning that today. Nobody can ever guaranteed which one is better, even on Google. Country View Elementary’s fifth grade is having a debate of cats vs dogs. This essay will prove that cats are better than dogs.
Achoo! Many things can trigger allergies, like pollen, certain animals, foods, or a bee sting. Allergies can make your eyes water and your nose run, make your skin itchy and bumpy, make your throat and ears sore, and make your tummy ache. They can even give you diarrhea . . . I know that’s gross!
Man’s best friend or little deadly creature of mass destruction? Would you rather have a 4 legged playful friend or a boring cat? In my opinion, I think that dogs are better pets than cats are. Why are dogs better than a sharp clawed disgusting fleabag, you ask? First of all, dogs are way more playful.
Drug abuse has been a hot topic for our society due to how stimulants interfere with health, prosperity, and the lives of others in all nations. All drugs have the potential to be misapplied, whether obtained by prescription, over the counter, or illegally. Drug abuse is a despicable disease that affects many helpless people. Majority of those who are beset with this disease go untreated due to health insurance companies who neglect and discriminate this issue. As an outcome of missed opportunities of treatments, abusers become homeless, very ill, or even worst, death.
The day Mom got Sugar was somewhat frightening for me. Obviously, I wanted nothing to do with the dog, I never planned to be in the same room as the dog, much less, take care of the dog. After all, Mom was supposed to take care of the dog. Slowly, I fell in love with her. She looked stern and loving. Her warm, brown eyes and pearly white smile only helped me fall in love with her. Not long after that I started to enjoy her company. Sugar was a loyal dog, she wanted to please everyone. When we went for a walk Sugar would come with us. We kept her on a leash, yet she never strayed from us.
Ever since I can remember I’ve wanted a dog. Never did I think that dogs would end up being by biggest fear. I was just a little kid around 6 years old when it happened. I was walking home from my friend’s house when I saw a stray dog, it was in the middle of the street blocking my way, I decided to walk past it, while I was walking it started growling at me, I hesitated but still kept trying to walk then suddenly it got up and started barking empathically towards me. I was terrified, my first initial reaction being a 6 year old kid was to scare it away, I was ignorant. I picked up a rock and threw it at the dog thinking it’ll get scared and run away. I was wrong. The dog had enough it made a whimpering noise then started barking even louder
