It is almost summer, so the school year is coming to an end. I feel like I have had many highs and lows, did many fun activities and have had many friendships throughout the school year. There have been many highs and lows in this school year, but overall I feel it was a really great year. I feel that I have grown in academics. I think one subject is math. I have been doing good in math and have been excelling. Also, last year I didn't not like social studies at all, but now I feel like I am doing better in social studies. I am able to remember more information that I have learned. One thing that I consider both a high and low is a situation that I had to deal with in the beginning of the school year. This situation happened to be with a friend. After the way I handled the situation, I feel more responsible. Now I know, if I have a situation I should come to an adult or God. I also, I feel that I have become more responsible this year. I am getting homework done in all classes and getting good grades. I have grown more responsible this school year, and this is definitely a high. …show more content…
In April , we went to medieval times for our social studies class. We learned about the renaissance and how the knights fought, also we were treated like royalty. We went with Mrs.Fallon and had a good time. Another fun activity we did was Pi day. Throughout the whole week we learned about Pi and it’s significans. We played lots of games and fun activities. We learned about this in math class with Mrs. Semanovich. The last fun thing we did, was having in and out with Mr.Zekri. My group one the in and out prize because we had the best project based on evolution theories. We made a video that was very fun to make. The winners were Brianna, Erika, Jalen and myself. I think doing these activities help me in academic because I found them
One high point is that I do well in most classes. The main are usually foreign languages, history, art, english, and some types of sciences. Another is that I hold high standards for myself. I hate when I have a grade below a B+ to a B, mainly because I know I can do better. A low point would have to be that sometimes I lack motivation.
I had a good year in first grade. I became the best artist in the class. I started getting better at English. My first word was “bathroom.” I made two friends Michelle Sherman and Karen Calle. After that I started feeling better and actually liking this school. Everything felt better and worked out great!
One bad event though that has happened this semester was when I got a C+ on my psychology test because I did not put in enough effort into studying so I have no one to blame but myself but I promised to myself that I would not fall off track this time around when I take my next test. I attribute my failure to get a good grade as internal because I could have gotten a better a grade if I put in more effort. I attribute going to the gym as external because I had friends pushing me to come to the gym with them and try out the different classes. Overall believe that coming for the summer semester has been one of the best experience in my life because I have met some really amazing people and have gained knowledge about so some different things. Therefore I am excited to come back in the fall and continue my journey at
After, we played some fun activities like rolling down hills, which was this game where people crossed arms and then tried to have every body's arms straight. We also spotted deer. The deer were trying to hide from us when we saw them. They sprinted off faster than a cheetah when we saw them. We were able to have our lunch and then we played more fun games after that. My class went and walked all over Leroy oaks getting to see all of the nature. One guy who worked there taught us about acorns. He was hilarious, sarcastic, and was like go ahead and jump in the poison ivy. Next, we went inside a museum and did a scavenger hunt. The scavenger hunt was about raccoons and all the other creatures in the museum. I was not the biggest fan it but it went pretty quickly. All I had to do was look at some posters and in some drawers. Mrs. Palpant had a station where you had two rugs and you had to get across with six people on the mats and not touch the ground. It was hard to succeed because there are six people. I was always the person that had to move one of the mats up. The rugs were not very big only about two and a half by two. But, up next we were going to go in the water. I was ready to
We got to do an obstacle course. We also had a water slide and snow cones. My favorite part about last years was the dodge ball tournament. For this year I am hoping we can get two water slides. It was fun with one, but it would be even better with two.
Responsibility can be described as what you are expected to do. However, you are expected to do what best fits you and who you are because this will become the lesson from which someone will learn and which will one day make you proud. I understood this when I started babysitting, Elijah was two years old, he was walking everywhere and he was also learning how to talk. Sometimes we do not process our words before we talk, and as a child, we listen and we repeat. One day, I was babysitting Elijah at my house, suddenly an argument over how my brothers did not help my mother came along and several missed used words were said. Elijah did not understand what was happening and he simply started to repeat these words, the first couple of times it was funny to see his action until he took it as a joke to make us laugh. This day I understood how important a responsible decision is since someone will be there to learn from
When I was in 3rd grade, we had a lesson about China. We all went to the multipurpose room and sat on the floor with pillows. We learned how to use chopsticks and practiced picking up food. I was very engaged because I made the connection that if I learned how to use chopsticks, then I could pick up sushi and eat it like my mom. Then after we practiced, we were shown a slideshow of pictures that a teacher took when he went to China. He explained all the pictures and I was just in awe because their landscape is nothing that I have seen before. Next, we got to put together our own miniature Chinese garden in a shoe box. I was excited for this activity as well because the
my grades started to get better and better, mostly in English. I literally gave the English class and I loved it. I loved the idea that I was helping others to learn something. They would always come to me and ask how to spell a word and I loved
Lemonade stand this year was amizing, we had a lot of fun, i real liked the locations and the creative signs the kids made, the skills i learned from lemonade stand was to communcate with people trying to convince to buy a drink and work as a team ,
If you are responsible, than you would be know for being a good person and also for being the
My high school experience has been a very challenging and exciting 4 years. I have learned many things that will help me in life and I feel confident that I am ready for whatever obstacle I may face. High school has defined, shaped my character, and helped me to mature into the young woman that I am
The freshman class would go to a camp in southern Texas, the sophomore class would go to New Orleans, the Juniors would go to Washington DC, and the seniors would go to Glorieta in New Mexico. Each of the trips would last for a week, and we would come back before spring break. The trips were fun and would help us build teamwork
This year has been truly a blessing for me because of what I have grown up on and the people I have met. A high point was the pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Through this experience, I was able to know several places that have a connection with Sacred Scriptures and that are going to be very useful in my own personal relationship with the Lord and in my homilies. The Pilgrimage was also beneficial for my relationships. During those days, I could get closer to some classmates and deepen my friendships.
I was able to overcome many problems and challenge myself in different aspects. At the very beginning of the year, I was very sensitive and having a bad experience meant a bad life to me. Later on, I started to realize what I am doing in school, and why I am here… I understood that life without ups and downs means you're died.
Half way through that year my cousin who is like a brother to me decided it was time for him to move to Phoenix Arizona accompanied by his newly wedded wife and try to make a living there. Him leaving really hit me hard, I was pretty close to becoming depressed. During that time I preferred to keep my mind busy as a result my grades shot up almost forty percent. Math in not my favorite subject at all, but for the first time in my entire life I can say that I really enjoyed and looked forward to going to my first period math class, I had the highest grade in that particular class for that semester. For the rest of that school year after overcoming all my problems I was just going to school getting my work done, get home, finish homework and do some work around the house.
