Are People Naturally Good Or Evil?
By Destiny vasquez
After the people i have met in my life it’s hard to tell if they are good or evil and also both.Cause you really have to know that person to actually see their true colors looks can be deceiving. The people you think are nice and good for all those years can turn right back around and stab you in the back. Some can fake the can fake their goodness when they can just be so cruel to people for their own pleasure. They like plan a mind game on you pretend to be someone they're not they hide in there shadow.
The people who are “evil” might have some good in them they just don't see it in themselves and can't see that they can be good they think being evil is there only option. And that they can't change who they are because no one will lead them in the right way to help them along the way so they sometimes see no point in even trying. They don't see the good side in them they only see the darkness in them they can't find that light in them to keep trying and to change for the better.Sometimes it could be from having some trust issues with someone or some people they had a strong bond with and once that bond breaks it could break the person as well.
Some people can also be good and evil at some moments they could do something bad and then laugh at it but
Evil can be a scary thing many things can influence on why a person may be considered evil or do evil things.People do things because they were influenced by others or by their own selfish desires,
The lines that define good and evil are not written in black and white; these lines tend to blur into many shades of grey allowing good and evil to intermingle with each another in a single human being. Man is not inherently good or evil but they are born innocent without any values or sense of morality until people impart their philosophies of life to them. In the words of John Locke:
When put into a harsh situation evil will inevitably come out of everyone. Evil has many ways of developing but it will eventually develop. In The Count of Monte Cristo and Lord of the Flies there are multiple characters who turn evil because of harsh circumstances. As shown in The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas and Lord of the Flies by William Golding, evil will come out of everyone if put into a bad situation.
Imagine yourself as an outcast but accepted by name. This life would be confusing, agitating; well to be exact, a problem. All it takes for any considerably good person to become a monster, is just one bad day. Your thoughts would be rash in a sense only for to you determine what “just” is and good would be only things that benefit you. So what makes you wrong, morals? The ones who see different around you? To be frank, you’re evil now. Get used to it because for the most part without death or a life altering change, this is your life. Exciting right?
There are two kinds of evil, moral and natural. Moral evil is things like murder, rape, stealing, terrorism, etc. Natural evil is things like suffering and unpleasantness typically as a result of moral evil. Evil is that which has no power of its own. Evil is darkness, a negation of light. Its power is in us, in our fear of it, in that we consider it a "something" worth responding to.
Everyone knows that evil can be devastating, especially to someone who foolishly embraces it. Most people would wonder why anyone would embrace evil. The answer is simple though; sometimes, evil does not appear as what it really is. Often, it actually appears enchanting, showing you the alluring side while hiding the darker side.
“In the long run, we shape our lives, and we shape ourselves. The process never ends until we die. And the choices we make are ultimately our own responsibility.” (Eleanor Roosevelt). This is just one of the infinite examples of how human nature has been explored by so many different people. Each and every human is born with the capability of making their own choices. The decisions that they will make in the future will determine how evil they are viewed by others. Although one’s nature and nurture do affect their life, it is their own free will that determines whether or not they are evil.
that lies within a person is good and love, others think evil and hate. No matter how much a
Evil is to be morally wrong, bad, wicked, and a whole bunch of other synonyms that all boil into one pot. There is so much to this word that it’s almost impossible to pinpoint someone as truly evil. To be evil for no other reason than to be evil would be the worst possible evil. Adolf Hitler and Osoma bin Laden believe the evil they committed was justified by God, or some higher power. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth, from the play by Shakespeare, were not evil because they wanted to be, they did it for a greater good.
Since the dawn of modern civilization the terms good and evil have been used to describe the world and the various things within it. Things ranging from the concepts of the Devil, to the kid the cut in front you in the lunch line in the third grade, evil can be defined in many ways, however, evil is generally defined as something that goes against a single set of moral principles that society has defined. This is not true because evil is something that an individual perceives that they believe will cause them harm and goes against their individual moral beliefs, not some universal concept accepted by everyone.
Every human is born with the potential to be inherently evil. Whether they choose this path or not depends on the influences of the outside world. We can see an example of how this is true from the book, Lord of the Flies by William Golding. Although all of the boys in the novel start out as innocent choirboys, they show their true form of evil when they are put in a dire situation. The boys no longer become friends to one another, instead they try to kill animals and even each other for the pure enjoyment of it. Humans are born evil and have the intent of doing violent and harmful things as evident by; the world’s history, violence as a source of entertainment, constant wars, and bullies, both cyber and physical.
Consequently evil is portrayed differently compared to their counterparts. They are not seen as youthful, happiness, or life. They give off the feeling of sinful, foul, wickedness and villainy.
The world is filled with many different words, some harder to define than other. One of these difficult words is considered by many to be evil. The definition of the word evil depends entirely upon the reader or writers perspective upon the word. The most innocent and simple ways that of would define evil is by simply saying that evil is the exact opposite of good, but what is good? In order to understand the true meaning of evil, we must first be able to describe what good is, what has goodness produced, and what has evil truly defied.
There is an incredibly thin line between what makes a person good and what makes a person right. A person being right is something that’s controversial; you can choose what you want because it’s your opinion. A person being good is something that no one gets a say in; all people are good. It’s hard to see that because people skewer the image of other people when they think that person did something wrong. We are judged more by our actions than by our intentions. In reality, our intentions are all that matter.
The perception of good and bad is varied, but to be good or bad is very different. Many are misled by the term and so I will now define it. What us people call being good is genuinely triggered by actions or kind gestures. Actions as such serving your country regards killing to survive. Then you have kind gestures such as giving money to the homeless or to a charity. This is a sympathetic gesture so we class it as good.
