Although many people think that animals are being hunted to extinction, without control of animal this could become overwhelming and cost a fortune. Many people kill animals for protection and clothing and these practices have been carried out for centuries. Many people think that hunting is inhumane and unessential, but animals are killed for a reason, whether it is over population in neighborhoods, protection of cattle, or money.
Hunting animals helps control the population of certain species, such as deer, in areas where they may pose a threat to humans. However, some say hunting is unnecessary an inhumane. Many people think that animals should be left alone and that killing them plays a negative role in our ecosystem. “Animals have been managing themselves without human interference for millennia” (O’Conner). Although there are many arguments stated, animals have been hunted for centuries and are still managing their species well. Also, some animals are considered predators to humans and livestock. “Now wolves are back with roughly 6,000 in the contiguous United States” “Presence of wolves increase cost even when they don’t kill livestock, by making cattle nervous” (Elperin). Managing animals is an important role in both cities and farms. Many people think killing animals is wrong but without well-managed hunting, there would be an overpopulation of certain wild animals and cattle prices would skyrocket.
Control of population is a good thing; without this, there could be more fatal accidents on the road. Many fatal or serious car accidents happen because of animals. “Deer, on the other hand, kill upward of 250 people a year—drivers and passengers—and hospitalize 30,000 more”(Sterba). Driving anywhere day or night, espec...

...unt them to help control the population of some species, to protect livestock, or to save money. Despite what is believed by many, with proper control, animals will not be hunted into extinction. Without some sort of wildlife management, our wild animal populations could become out of control.

We live in the human society that animal becoming extinct, more people hunting animal just for fun like animal is just another toy to people chase around until the animal exhaust and then kill them, animal they have feeling just like humans. If we have guns control law is most likely no hunting anymore, we don’t need to hunt animal for food to survive. Many people kill animal just for their skin and fur. If humans continue killing innocent animal is will cause extinction to many animal. States with hunting law are less
...leaving a little portion of land to the animals is not that bad. The reintroduction of wolves in Yellowstone has been very beneficial to the ecosystem. We tried to eliminate this species but in the end, we need to ask ourselves the question, do we really need to eliminate another species based on our own biases and fears? We need to look past personal gain, and leave nature to take its course.
White tailed deer are the largest game animal in North America. This is due to their over abundance and annoyance to farmers. An average of 300000 deer are hunted down each year. A tragedy has been another 3000 are hit by cars every year. Many human efforts have been made to prevent these accidents, such as fencing and deer repellents near freeways, but many seem to think that hunting and controlling the population is the best way.
Early settlers, all the way back in the 1700s, tried to rid these marvelous creatures from the North American continent, which almost lead to their extinction. They poisoned, trapped, furred, shot and killed all the wolves that posed a threat to their lands and livestock. The settlers seemed to be getting their way in the beginning of the 1700s because as human population increased in America, unfortunately, the wolf population plummeted. They pushed the wolves out of their original habitats and the settlers made their habitats their home. The wolf population could have plummeted for many reasons, but the main reason was the fear the humans had of the wolves. Occasionally, the wolves would hunt in the fields where the settler’s livestock would graze and at the right time, the wolves would ambush the livestock for food. The wolves hunted the cattle because the horses were to much work to kill: the horses had strong hind legs that were a threat to the wolves. Farmers and Settlers also saw these wolves a...
We have all heard of the Big Bad Wolf, stalking children and spreading fear and chaos. It commits heinous crimes and deserves to be destroyed. This is a misdemeanor. Wolves hunt deer, rabbits, moose, and other animals (“Wolf”). Because most of the animals they hunt are in fact larger than them, the sickly, inferior, or downright small are targeted since wolves track then kill prey up to ten times their size with their teeth(“All about Wolves”). This makes the hunted animals population stronger. While wolf hunting habits are a prime example of natural selection, human hunters are the opposite. They hunt the bigger and stronger deer, giving the weak a chance to reproduce. What about the problem of the decreasing deer population? They have been over-populated for many years, and while good for hunters, this is a problem for the wilderness areas of Wisconsin. Without the wolves to hunt the deer, they overpopulated rather quickly.
The controversy surrounding the reintroduction of the wolves are many from both sides. Some local farmers are against it because some wolves hunt their animals. However, if the farmers can prove their animal was attacked by a wolf, then the government would reimburse them for the animals value. Another problem is that some taxpayers are against the reintroduction because it cost them money to get the wolves back into the park. Another issue for taxpayers is that they have to pay for the damage the wolves do to the farmer’s animals.
Flocken endorses that “...hunters are not like natural predators. They target the largest specimens; with the biggest tusks, manes, antlers, or horns.” In Defense of Animals International (IDA) argues that hunters concentrate on“game” populations and ignore “non-game” species that may lead to overpopulation and unequal ecosystems. Therefore, it affects their ecosystem, and the animals’ families. Overall, the evidence proves trophy hunting hurts the environment, specifically conservation. Therefore, the hunters’ idea that trophy hunting actually helps conservation by killing some predators to maintain balance, is merely
Human kind began hunting wolves at least 13,000 years ago when the wolf became a threat to their livestock. Over the past hundred years wolves were hunted for their pelts and also so that farmers could keep their livestock safe. What most extremist wolf supporters don’t know is that wolves were not an extinct species. There actually are 40-60 thousand wolves in North America. Within the lower 48 states of the U.S. the
The wolf is an incredibility majestic creature of the wild. Centuries of hunting have pushed the wolf to the brink of extinction. Man decided to bring back the wolf, but it took many years before their numbers came up enough to be taken off the endangered species list. Now the wolf is abundant with overwhelming numbers. In 2009, a law was enacted allowing people to go out to the local Fish and Game office and buy a license to hunt wolves. In Idaho, this only costs eleven dollars and seventy-five cents. Native Americans have a very high respect for the wolf; they have a great love for them and are implemented in their everyday life. They as well as many citizens think that Fish and Game should control the population of the wolves humanly instead of the public going out and killing them for sport.

Hunting demonstrates the ability to protect and provide mainly referred to males providing their families with meat from the animals and protecting their land. (“Modern Hunters Are Stewards of Wildlife and the Environment.”) The economy today is very unsustainable and hunting is the key to feeding the hungry. (“Modern Hunters Are Stewards of Wildlife and the Environment.”) There are many food banks today that will accept the meat provided by animals and feed hungry organizations that cannot buy food themselves. What most people don’t know is most of the money used by hunters that go towards hunting licenses, hunting tags, and hunting lotteries to hunt in particular spots go to wildlife research and habitat protections in that hunters home state. With approximately 12.5 million hunters in the World today a lot more money gets sent to these organizations than people would ever think. Overall, hunting is a positive force because it provides an economic motive for maintaining wildlife habitats. This keeps animals in their own habitats and away from people and their homes as much as possible. Some see this sport very cruel and un-humane but overall it is helping this World out way more than people think. If we didn’t have people who hunt or knew how to hunt we would be very reliant on other foods. Such as farming fruits and vegetables, which could go extinct if something devastating happens. We wouldn’t have the protein and vitamins needed in the meat we eat. Hunting is very necessary, and everyone should know how to hunt or learn soon. It’s helpful now, and will be very helpful in the future if there is a reason we can’t rely on cattle for meat anymore. We will have to figure out other ways to get meat, and without hunting it is very unlikely that

Hunting can be considered the practice of trapping or killing animals, or pursuing them with the intention of either trapping or killing them. Although this practice was a vital part of the survival of humans 100,000 years ago, it is now considered a violent form of recreation that a majority of hunters do not require for subsistence (National Research Council, 1995). This is because it has contributed heavily to the endangerment, extinction and extirpation of animal species globally. Less than 5% of the population which accounts to 13.7 million people in the United States hunts animals, yet hunting is allowed in numerous national forests, state parks, wildlife refuges and other public lands (U.S. Fish and Wildfire Service, 2012). Nearly 40%
Animals around the world deserved respect and fair treatment; therefore illegal hunting and animal abuse must be stop by having stricter laws and harsher penalties. animals are consider to be like humans since they share the same emotions with people. Emotions that are equally experience to the ones people experience and feel. Also animals are in this world to a great benefit for all humans and should be treated in a more favorable way, considering many animals had died because of every human being. Animals died because of humans through situations like eating them or wearing them. Either way we are the cause why many animals are being abuse, causing nearly extinctions, and mistreating them in several ways.
