Anxiety has always been among us; its part of everyday life. Everyone feels anxious at some point in their lives but to some it is their entire reality. In a world where everything can potentially cause stress, what are those things you need to understand about anxiety; its factors and finally, can anxiety be cured?
To answer those questions, first you need to understand what anxiety really is. According to medical psychology anxiety is the irrational feeling of apprehension towards an unknown or even unrealistic event. So can say that anxiety is similar to phobias? Well, not necessarily so.

Traumatic events like death and abuse can trigger the brain to have a sudden decrease in the function of neurotransmitters. Neurotransmitters are the ones responsible to passing on brain signals (information) to the brain from the nerves cells. This means that a perfectly healthy individual with not history of anxiety disorder can suddenly develop anxiety because of a traumatic event.
In both cases, management of anxiety still depends on what caused it and how it developed. In that case, can anxiety be cured?
Of course that still depends on what kind of anxiety a person i9s experiencing. You see, unlike most psychological disorders anxiety has its levels of intensity from mild to sever. Mild anxiety is what everyone experiences usually before certain events occur. Oftentimes termed as nervousness, mild anxiety can be managed through deep breathing and relaxation techniques. Most people with mild anxiety deals with it by facing their fears. But when moderate anxiety takes place this usually causes dry mouth, palpitations, controlled chest pains and sometimes loss of coherence.
You might be wondering can anxiety be cured at this stage? With the right approach and medications, yes it can be cured. Moderate anxiety can be treated with anti-anxiety medications which calm the nerves. It can also be managed through exercises and relaxation

Anxiety can be associated up to 6 symptoms which include inability to sleep, fatigued, lack of concentration, easily agitated, muscle tension, and sleep disturbances. Most of which can affect everyday lifestyle and greatly effect physical health, not only can they cause personal distress but may also cause distress in those around.

There are several types of anxiety disorders. Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) involves excessive worrying, nervousness and tension. With this disorder, there is a constant feeling of dread that shapes your entire life. This type of anxiety doesn’t have the intensity of a panic attack, however lasts longer and makes daily life and relaxing impossible. People with GAD worry that a friendship is in jeopardy if a missed phone call to a friend isn’t returned to them. The thought of getting through the day can cause anxiety. GAD makes people worry excessively and the worrying is constant. These people feel as though their mind is on a nonstop running marathon and there is nothing they can do about it. Anxiety disorders cover a broad pool of psychological diseases it is impossible to fully analyze. If you where to see anxiety disorders from a biological perspective it will be categorized as a kingdom because it covers many disorders. Anxiety diseases are very extensive and vary among all patients. Some of these disorders are very hard to control and far more difficult to fully cure. With so many people suffering from their mental illnesses, steps have been taken in order to get help needed for these people but progress has been slow. In the medical world, hospitals are treating those with physical problems with more care than those with mental problems. Prescription drugs can only do so much helping the mentally ill go through their daily lives and more should be done to help those who need more than medicine to cope with their illness. Mental health should be considered just as important as physical health because of how advanced physical healing is, how the public reacts to those with mental illness, and due to the consequences that could happen if the illness is not correctly helped.
