Depression is a disease that steals emotion, it stops the patient from being able to experience emotional feelings and affects the thoughts, body, and mind of those suffering from it. Women are three times more likely to experience depression than men, however, it is a disease that can affect everyone in a different way. That is why treatment for depression is most difficult; something that works for one may not work for another. Psychotherapy and antidepressants are both forms of treatment, each having their own advantages and disadvantages.
The department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences studied 681 patients with chronic forms of major depression. Every patient was treated with either Cognitive Behavioral Analysis System of Psychotherapy
