It explains really well Malala’s story, her world-views and her contribution to our society. She strongly believes that every girl should have access to education no matter what and that is the cause she defends. As a child, she already accorded a lot of importance to education and wanted to be a doctor in the future. However, when she was 10, the Taliban began banning girl’s education. They closed and bombed schools. This is when she really began to be scared to loose her opportunity to go to school and began to militate for girl’s education through interviews and speeches in favour of education and through the diary that she wrote under the pen name “ Gul Makai” about her life under the Taliban. She wanted to tell the world what is happening in Swat, Pakistan. She was already fighting for her rights before the shooting, but it is mainly after the shooting that her efforts had a great impact. The Taliban thought that by shooting Malala, they would silence her and end this movement in favour of girls’ education, but, on contrary, it only ended by encouraging all the other girls around to speak up for their rights as she did. What happened to her made the whole world aware of the hard situation some are having, that is to struggle for something that should be a fundamental human right: education. This article is useful because everything is well explained and in chronological order and there is a section for everything. We can easily understand Malala’s story as well as her initial activism and her activism after the shooting.
As a child, she was already an advocate for girls’ education through her blog and her speeches, which made the Taliban, target her, sending her death threat and it lead to the shooting. Like a miracle, she survived and, nowadays, she continues her campaign that prones the importance of education. The simple fact that she chose not to abandon her rights and still went to school is worthy of respect. The book “I am Malala” shows to the world how she fought with courage for her rights and the right of all women to an education. child.” Oral presentation Malala’s story For those who don’t know about Malala, she is a 17-year-old activist that pursues education for women that recently won the Nobel price of Peace 2014, the youngest Nobel Peace Prize winner. She was on her way back home from school when a gunman shot her in the head. She was in a critical condition and had to go in England for surgery. Furthermore, I am Malala is a lovely book that convincingly tells the story of “the girl who stood up for education and was shot by the Taliban”. The Taliban was a group destined to do wrong and was against equal rights for women. Malala Yousafzai was a girl determined for women to have the same rights as men and she got “punished” by the taliban with a gunshot through the head. Malala recovered fine and went on to become a women's right activist. She also was awarded many prizes for her great courage. Malala Yousafzai was a strong women strengthened by the obstacles she faced that have gotten her where she is.
Nelson Mandela once said “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. It is the very same “legacy of change” that Nelson Mandela used that inspires what Malala Yousafzai does today. At the age of 15, Malala Yousafzai was shot in the head by the Taliban for advocating for girls’ education. Since this appalling incident, Malala has gone on to be the youngest person to win the Nobel Peace Prize, start the “Malala Fund”, that funds education in developing countries, and is currently the figure of women’s rights. Being shot in the face and seriously injured, did not stop Malala Yousafzai from pursuing her dreams. She did not morally agree with her government’s treatment of women, so she fought for her beliefs. Malala grew up in a rural village in Pakistan and was forced to follow customs she did not believe in. Swat Valley changed to a strictly ruled village with discrimination towards women. Malala created awareness around the world of the situation and stood up for her rights to education. Through Malala Yousafzai’s painful experience with growing up in a dangerous part of Pakistan, she created awareness in hope to regain the rights to educational opportunities for women.

Fighting to learn is one of the many problems women face each day, additionally it does not help when the opportunity to be educated is not given to over 6 million teenage girls alone. The women that are confident enough to stand up and fight for schooling are usually respected. Being one of the very few people in Pakistan who fought for better teachings, Malala is now well respected in many countries. The book I Am Malala How One Girl Stood Up for Education and Changed the World, is about a young girl, born is 1997, named Malala, who stands up for education and was later shot by the Taliban. Malala, a Pashtun, was from Mingora, Swat Valley, Pakistan, her religion was moderate Muslim. This Memoir was dedicated to those children who have no access to education, and to those who stand up for their rights. In this book three significant themes are religion, courage and perseverance, and fame, power, the importance of role models. These themes are revealed through Malala's actions.
Education is something various people feel extremely passionate about and would not want anything else, but a strong educational system around the world. Countless children around the world do not acquire the right to an education and various of those children are girls. Malala is one of those persons that enjoys education and her dream is to have an education for every girl that is being deprived of her rights. Malala has slowly turned herself into a symbol of peace and her novel is able to reflect that throughout her novel by applying various rhetorical devices. “I am Malala” by Malala Yousafzai is a beautiful and hard breaking book at the same time. This book is an autobiography that describes the author childhood and her support on the right for girls to have an education. Through this autobiography, Malala describes the restrictions that are imposed on females in her country. There are many that believe that woman of Pakistan should not be educated in the other hands there are a few that oppose this idea. Malala’s support on education for girls almost cost her life, since she was shot by the Taliban. She did not give a speech for revenge, however, she finds that talking about the importance of receiving education for all people at the time of shot.
