Dachau
What is Dachau? Dachau is a place very similar to hell! Many innocent people died. Anne Frank is a person well known that was an innocent victim of the Holocaust. Dachau was a concentration camp!!! It was the first camp to ever be made in Germany. Before World War II it was a concentration camp for communist and people part of the opposing political party. Basically anyone that was part or involved with the government.
Soon, Dachau became a concentration camp for most Jews. Homosexuals, Gypsies, and communist were also in the camp. They were all brutally beat and murdered. Once you enter a concentration camp, you're basically dead already. They would starve you to death. All of these killings and evil stuff happened thanks to one man.
Adolf Hitler was the creator of the holocaust! He was a man that hated the Jews very much, he also disliked people that weren't like him, but he hated the Jews much more. Hitler got to be the leader of Germany because he convinced everyone that he was the right person to rule Germany. They all believed him because he had the gift of "speech." Towards the end of the Holocaust, Hitler committed SUICIDE by shooting himself. I personally

think that he didn't deserve that death because it was too quick and painless. Before Hitler died, he found more ways to torture the Jews.A German SS doctor named Sigmund Rasche, was a man who experimented on the Jews and other races at Dachau! He mostly worked with freezing "Experiments." He also worked with hypothermia, twins, and "curing homosexuality." Some of his "experiments" involved, making people get naked and stand outside for about 14 hours or more in the cold. They could also be thrown in freezing water for 3-6 hours. All of these "experiments" used about 300 camp prisoners. This was all done because Dr.Sigmund wanted to know how long the body would resist in cold temperatures. At the end of the war Dachau had killed 216,000 Jews and other races mixed. Those deaths are the only ones that were reported as "dead" but we don't know exactly how many deaths there were because many deaths weren't reported. Dachao had a gas chamber, but that gas chamber wasn't used for a hole 2 years. Dachau was very famous for having "the death train." The "death train" was something they'd do at Dachau, it consisted of all the dead bodies from "the death march." The body's would be thrown on a train and left there until they decomposed. The last "death March" that Dachau had was three weeks before the camp then was liberated. The "death march" was from Buchenwald concentration camp all the way to Dachau. After Dachau was liberated on April 29,1945 by the Americans, there was a disease called "typhus." As a result, a very young and famous girl named Anne Frank and her sister Margot Frank died of typhus.
As a matter of fact, The Museum of Tolerance located in Los Angeles has an exhibit dedicated to Anne Frank. The Anne Frank exhibit contains the life of a young girl and her family that are living in hiding with her during the Holocaust. Furthermore, the Museum of Tolerance is a fascinating place to learn about the holocaust because it really shows you the cruelty that humans do in this world. The Museum of Tolerance teaches you about genocide, Anne Frank, the Holocaust, and life during WWII. Additionally, one thing that I learned about Anne Frank as I read her diary was that, you must cherish time while you have it, because one day it will run out when you least expect
it. The Americans that went to liberate the camp didn't have vaccines or anything to stop it from spreading. About 400 prisoners died per day because of "typhus." Originally Dachau was built to hold 5,000 men, but at the end of WWII it had 30,000 men living in it. The living conditions were horrible of course. On April 9,1945 the Americans had dropped a bomb on Dachau, which knocked out the water main and killed all the electricity in the camp. For 3 weeks they lived in much poorer conditions than usual. Soon April 29,1945 came and all of the prisoners that were trapped inside that hell had made it out. On that day, they weren't just liberated, they proved that they survived and they're stronger than the man who started it all. They are no longer numbers, they are people again.
Adolf Hitler, born in 1889, is an Austrian born man who is known for his instigation and participation in the Nazi Political movement, or genocide, known as the Holocaust. Throughout his later life, Hitler spent the majority of his time organizing discriminatory laws that prevented Jewish citizens’ basic rights and ultimately their demise. However, before he advanced such laws and politics, he served as the Head of State, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, until he became the Fuhrer of Germany’s Third Reich which began in 1933 and ended in 1945 (Jewish Virtual Library). His actions were fueled by an unrelenting and strict hate for the Jewish community, better known as anti-Semitism, much like the vast majority of Eastern countries. Both
Adolf Hitler came into power of Germany in 1934. Wanting power, land and revenge, Hitler gets troops ready to attack. Hitler was a troop in WWI for Germany. The Holocaust was a terrible time, where the Nazis were eliminating Jews due to a misunderstanding that was passed down from Adolf Hitler to the Germans. The Holocaust is portrayed in various ways to help others comprehend and appreciate the extreme atrocities that occurred. One such Holocaust portrayal is the Dachau concentration camp. The history of Dachau contains a beginning, middle, and end, much like stories today. The beginning: the establishment, the middle: the atrocities committed there, and the end: the liberation and freedom. However, the history of Dachau is much more than a story. It's a lesson for all humanity.
Dachau was the first concentration camp established by the National Socialist Government on March 10, 1933. The main camp was located in the northeastern portion of the city of Dachau, Germany, which was approximately ten miles northwest of Munich, Germany. The camp remained operational for the entirety of the Third Reich. Theodor Eicke was originally the head of the camp, and when he was promoted to Inspector General of all Camps, Dachau became the model for all of the concentration camps that would later be established.
The purpose, center and esence of the Holocaust lies within one man, Adolf Hitler. There was really nothing special about him, he started out as just a kid who liked art. Who would have thought that this man could have almost succeded in world domination world domination. In 1921, Hiter gained control of the National Socialist German Workers Party, who later became known to be the Nazi party. In 1923, Adolf Hitler was arrested and sent to prision for an attempted Coup d'etat, or illegal overthrow of government. He was sentenced to five years in jail, but since the German government was weakened due to World War I (WWI), he only served nine months. While he was imprisoned, he wrote a book, Mein Kampf, or My Struggle, as it is translated to in English. In his book, he talked about his thoughts for a 'perfect' Germanic race. This race is known as the Aryan race. The Aryan race consisted of people with fair skin, blue eyes and blonde hair. Since he pictured a surperior race, he thought there were weaker races as well. He wrote about a group of people he categorized as 'undesireables', which consisted of people of the Jewish religion, Communists, ...
The Holocaust was a mass genocide a killing of a mass number of people froma a certain race or group. Since Hitler wanted to kill the undesirables he made camp to put them in and then they would be killed or they would suffer in one way or another. Once a person was killed in the camps they would cremate them so they wouldn't have dead bodies laying around everywhere. People in the camps were killed by Nazi soliders shooting them, being burned to death, starving, or being killed by sickness. A lot of people would die from dieases like scabies. Most people would contract scabies or lice because the camps were very dirty and they were so cramped so sickness spread quickly. Another way of the undesirables being killed were gas chambers. The Nazi's would tell them they were going to take them to shower but in reality they were taking them to the gas chambers tho kill them. People would suffer in the gas chambers because the gas would slowly kill them.
The man responsible for the Holocaust was Adolf Hitler and his Nazi war-machine. As an Austrian born soldier-turned-politician, Hitler was fascinated with the concept of the racial supremacy of the German people. He was also a very bitter, very evil little man.
The Holocaust could best be defined as the mass killing of about 6 million Jewish people during World War II. A lot of events led up to the Holocaust, during the Holocaust, and even after the Holocaust. Adolf Hitler, the leader of the Nazi party and was held most responsible for this terrible genocide. The Holocaust was a terrible time in our world’s history.
The holocaust was a horrific period of time where unbelievable criminal acts were carried out against the Jews, Gypsies, and other racial gatherings. These defenseless individuals were sent from unsanitary ghettos to death camps, one being Auschwitz. The Auschwitz death camp comprised of three camps, all in which are placed in Poland. Numerous forms of extermination came about overtime to speed up the killing process. Life at the death camps was cut short for those who weren’t fit to work; such as the elderly, women, the mentally disabled, and young children. The others were put work while being starved to death. Experiments were held on dwarfs, twins, and other misfits were carried out by Josef Mengele. These inhuman acts against the Jews were all held in secret from society by the Nazis until liberation day.
Adolf Hitler is known to be one of the “greatest” leaders in history who had abused his powers and had shattered his country apart. Born in 1889 in Austria, Hitler abused his powers because of his greedy ego and because of his narcissism. It all became with Hitler organizing a party called the National Socialist, most popularly know as the Nazi Party. The rise of the Nazi Party was the thing that led to the start of Hitler’s rein and his abuse of power. The Nazi Party eventually led Adolf Hitler to come to rule and had given Hitler the chance to take control the entire nation.
