At first read, Tom Bombadil seemed to be to be a representation of God in Middle Earth. He seemed to be an incredibly, wise, and angelic being, along with his wife, Goldberry, who is dressed in magnificent silver. If Tom is a representation of the image of God, Goldberry could easily represent the image of God’s Church. Tom told the hobbits stories about the Old World, and told them he is the oldest being in Middle Earth. Tom says, “But you are young and I am old. Eldest, that’s what I am. Mark my words, my friends: Tom was here before the river and the trees; Tom remembers the first raindrop and the first acorn. He made paths before the big people, and saw the little People arriving” (148). After completing the reading I had a different outlook
on Tom’s character. Each of the previous examples supported the idea of Tom as a God figure, and yet could also support another theory. Tom could be the embodiment of wisdom. When Tom said, he was the eldest of the lands, he only said that he was there to see the first raindrop and acorn, not that he created them. Consequently, I think that if Tom Bombadil was supposed to represent God that Tolkien would have said Tom created the “little people” and not merely that Tom saw the little people arriving. Wisdom could explain why Tom knew so much about the hobbits ancestry, and the ring. The Hobbit is wisdom therefore he knows everything. When a person is in trouble he would call on a knowledgeable person’s wisdom in order to try and get out of the predicament, which is exactly what Frodo did. Frodo called for Tom Bombadil who helped them escape the Barrows-Wrights.
Benjamin Banneker was a primarily self-educated child of a former slave who became a prominent African American renaissance man and activist during the 18th century. In 1791, Banneker wrote a letter to Thomas Jefferson, the aim of which was to challenge Jefferson on the topics of slavery and racism, and hopefully get him to change his opinions and eventually take further action. He called upon tone, alluding to historical events, and juxtaposing the difference between Jefferson’s own writings and actions in order to drive his point home.
Mr. Wilson is the only person that associates Dr. T.J. Eckleburg with God. "Standing behind him Michaelis saw with a shock that he was looking at the eyes of Doctor T.J.
In order to explain the life and accomplishments of George Boole’s life, the following questions had to be answered: Who was George Boole? What did George Boole have to do with mathematics? We all have music artists that we love to listen to over and over again about one hundred times, we stand in long lines to watch them live in concerts even though the ticket prices may be so expensive or may even watch their music videos an exaggerated amount of times just so that they can get the views. The point I’m trying to make is that we all have our favorites artists such Beyoncé, Kanye West, Bruno Mars, or even lady gaga but my favorite artists are hands down K.Michelle and Tamar Braxton. These ladies are so Similar but yet so different and have achieved great things in life.
The article Popular [Mis]conceptions of Medieval Warfare by Peter Burkholder argues that social stereotypes of medieval warfare result in common misconceptions of what took place during the Middle Ages. Burkholder explains that the entertainment industry perpetuates misconceptions about medieval warfare through inaccurate portrayals in various media. This thesis is further developed in the article through a variety of observations about the correlation between entertainment industries and historical values. The point of the reading is to expose readers to how the entertainment industry misconstrues accounts of medieval warfare by sensationalizing the details of entertainment values. Facts: Frederick E. Bouchat, an amateur artist, created drawings of insignia that he imagined might be used by the new football team (Ravens) depending upon the name selected. Bouchat prepared a drawing for the Baltimore Ravens team referred to as the “Shield Drawing.” A copy of the Shield Drawing was sent by Bouchat to the head of the Baltimore Stadium Authority. Shortly after the drawing ended up with the commercial artists who worked for the National Football League. The artists for the NFL infringed Bouchat's copyright by copying the Shield Drawing and creating what is now referred to as the "Flying B Logo." The Baltimore Ravens then used the Flying B Logo as the teams' primary logo during 1996, 1997, and 1998.
The Jack Pine is an oil painting by Canadian artist Tom Thomson in 1917. Tom Thomson was born on August 5th, 1877 near Claremont, Ontario, northeast of Toronto. He died between July 8th and July 16th in 1917 due to drowning in Canoe Lake (Huff). This painting clearly represents the pine species in Canada. The pine is placed in the centre of the canvas, with its branches bowed, it extends to nearly the full length of the canvas. It rises from a rocky foreground, and it is silhouetted against the water and sky as well as the rocky mountain. The jack pine stands out against the background due to its darker, green colour. The sky is a mixture of faded colours such as blue, green and yellow. In this painting, the water is a blend of light blue

One of the people in the book that particularly stood out was Tom Bombadil. Tom says one of his purposes is to "teach the right road, and keep your feet from wandering." In the bible it says, "...your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, this is the way; walk in it." (Is. 30:21). As the hobbits begin their journey, they fall into trouble with Old Man Willow and are rescued by Tom Bombadil, who possesses power over Nature. They don’t really understand who he is, all he will say is, “Eldest is what I am.” In Christian Philosophy the eldest are the wisest and best at making disicions it seems that Tom represtents that elderst wise man. Tom acts almost like an angel it seems, he will only help when worst comes too worst to intervene in outside affairs. This is what Tom Bombadil does in rescuing the hobbits from Old Man Willow.

In the orature stories you will find various aspects of morals, traditions and art such as spinning. In “Three Spinners” you will find a mother who must lie because she is ashamed to have a lazy daughter, so she must lie to the Queen. In, “Tom Tit Tot” you will find a mother who is ashamed to have to explain that singing of her song in degrading her daughter but she must turn it around and say something else to the King as he is in passing, for the sake to save her daughter. The morals in these stories have to do with trying to live up to a higher standard than need be, the traditions have to do with women must spin skeins everyday to prove their worth, and the art of spinning seems to be a huge part of the culture from back then. In the following statements you will find
As the economic grows rapidly, market has occupied our life, and has become impartible with market. Whereas, market has become more and more influential and wild coveraged. Since almost everything in daily life could be labeled with a price for commercial purpose, market brings us not only the positive impact like it makes our life much more convenient and connected, but also some implicit impact that gradually influences us in the negative ways. While some of the market ways even violate basic human rights. Since United Nations publish the “Universal Declaration of Human Rights”, it stated basic rights for every human being that can not be violated no matter what. But as market grows stronger and more influential day by day, it somehow gives negative impact to human and encroaches some of the human rights, even the market did not cause it purposely.

His theories combined the concepts of logic and mathematics, and hence he is known as the father of mathematical logic. This combination of mathematics and logic came to be known as Boolean algebra, and is the basis of digital electronic design, which is used in fields ranging from telephone switching to computer engineering. Because of the utilization of the concepts of Boolean algebra in electronics and computers, George Boole is regarded by many as the father of computing also.
No one knows when Tom Bombadil was actually created as it was speculated he was in Arda even before the first Dark Lord Morgoth, for no one even really knows what he is. Yet, Tom Bombadil lives a happy little life near the river Withywindle in the Old Forest with ‘The River-Daughter’ Goldberry and his trusty steed Fatty Lumpkin. And because of all the names he has among the folk of Middle-earth it is though that he may have been influencial in the past
Oswald Spengler (29 May 1880 – 8 May 1936) is a pessimistic German historian and philosopher, who equals or surpass Nietzsche in his own time. He propounded a new perspective for evolving cultures as a whole to explain the history of the world, which then challenged the contemporary idea of linear history. Generally, the philosophy of linear history is really a powerful assumption for people and this is very much influenced by Christianity in a way and still survived in post-Christian West. There is this common perception that we are the next step in history and this history leads to greater freedom by means of liberation, understanding, and technology. Although it is true that there are bad events throughout the journey, however that just like speed bumps to the Utopia. For example, the standpoint of technology apparently seems true to this perception, which is from medicine to automobile and communication; they all are slowly paved toward perfection. In Spengler’s cosmology of history, human cultures and civilizations very much like mythology of plant life, where they grow and dies. Great culture also can come into an end, decaying.
