It can't be denied – Taylor Swift is a cultural phenomenon. Considering she's arguably the most popular pop star in the world at this moment, it's hardly a surprise that her every move is under close scrutiny by fans and critics alike. Being under constant surveillance is not exactly easy, and we can sympathize with that. Kendrick Lamar) The song's music video has one of the most star-studded casts in recent memory, with Selena Gomez, Lena Dunham and Hayley Williams joining Taylor and Kendrick in a high-production, Matrix-influenced story about spies, betrayal and revenge. The music video itself is daring and provocative; however, the song it's based on is anything but. 'Bad Blood' feels like Taylor deciding to show the world that she understands the concept of a metaphor – she makes the point so blindingly obvious that the song becomes a parody in no time. Even for a Swift song, 'Bad Blood' is ridiculously bratty in nature. This time, however, the beat and the chorus are not there to save her and the song loses steam long before the finish line. If you want our opinion about the matter, fumbling a collaboration with Kendrick Lamar should be a legal offense.
