Introduction
I have chosen Heathrow Airport for my report because it is one of the most implausible airports in the world. It is used by more than 90 airlines flying with numerous passengers to 170 destinations.
In my report, first of all, it will be conducted a small background of Heathrow airport, then we demonstrates the environmental impacts on noise, air, water, waste and biodiversity. Current management policies and strategies are evaporates in details of Heathrow airport and how airport can make improvement in some areas is concluded at the end.
Background
Heathrow Airport started during World War I. The Air Ministry took the control of Heathrow to build up as a Royal Air Force transfer station in 1943. The land was taken from Harmondsworth and construction started in 1944. Wimpey Construction built the new airport and it was named as Heathrow from the hamlet. The Royal Air Force didn’t use the airport ever and the control shifted to Ministry of Civil Aviation in 1946. The Minister of Aviation, Lord Winster, opened the airport officially in 25th March 1946. On 31st May, 1946, the airport was started using publicly. By 1947, it had three runways and another three was under construction. Queen Elizabeth II launched first modern runways in 1953. Quenn Elizabeth II also launched Europa Building, which is currently known as Terminal 2, in the year of 1955. Again in 1961, Oceanic Terminal, which is known as Terminal 3, was unfastened to deal with the flight that departure for long-haul routes. By the time, Terminal 1 was also launched in 1968. In 1970, cargo terminal was constructed and connected to Terminal 1, 2 and 3 by a tunnel. There was much more development process going on from the year of 1970 to 1990 including expan...

...y and strategy for each area to minimize the impacts on environment for proving green London.
To reduce emission, the owners of the Heathrow should come up with a system of policy of penalties for polluting vehicles as well as make an introduction of charges to promote using of lower emissions aircraft. They can also improve by employing using of covered vehicles for transportation and wheel washing with damping down to minimize the dust emissions.
For the improvement in biodiversity areas, the airport should make a group for rescuing important species and do pond replacement and refurbishment. Besides, to minimize hydrological and ecological changes, they should have a design of river channels.
Airport should have demonstrate more and powerful actions to tackle the impacts on its environment as its affecting public health which is more concerned for a country.
...fore each of our flight, it is necessary for us to choose one or several alternate. This is helpful for our safety. There are many stories and a lot of people had been died since the recently 100 years because of not following the rules. We need to learn something from this, then we can avoid these things happening again, maybe it can save many people’s lives. Choosing an alternate airport, it is quite important for us during our flight. None of us can find out the things that will happen in the future, so we had better to be well prepared. We can choose an alternate airport every time before our flight, so if we have something wrong with the weather or aircraft, we still have many choices. It is quite useful for our flight.
Airport planning, once carried out utilizing a single future forecast, failed to account for the complexity and uncertainty of the aviation industry. Today, it is widely assumed airport success can only be met through the utilization of a flexible, integrated planning approach that sees forecasts as incorrect.
...hese two topics, the aspect that influenced the development of the aviation industry was World War 2. World War 2 basically was the basis that sparked the advancement of the aviation industry. Without this event happening the aviation industry would lack the jet-powered engines, radar and advanced navigation systems. The comfort and luxury within the aircraft and the actual design of the airframes on commercial aircraft was inspired by the B-29. Aerospace companies within the United States grew to maturity during the Second World War and piston technology had been broken down nearly to its limits. Being still visible today on its basic structure, have been overlaid the effects of post-war drastic technological improvements. Throughout the midst of 1944 aviation was the largest industry in the world and still is due to the advancements in aircraft during World War 2.
One of the stakeholders group is customers. As they are the most important part of the business, without them you cannot operate the business. If u doesn’t have customers for whom will you produce? They just want high quality product at fair prices and good services. By building up the second runway they will be able to fly more flights and more customers will be attracted as they can easily get the ticket. The price of tickets might rise as the demand will rise which customers will don’t want. It will be convenient for their customers as there will more choices of airline flying there, they can choose amongst them.

British Airways (BA) is the main and largest carrier airline of the United Kingdom. It’s headquarter is located in Waterside. The British Airways Group was established in 1972. It included British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC) and British European Airways (BEA). In 1974 British Airways was formed after the dissolution of BOAC and BEA (British Airways, 2015).
London Heathrow Airport is one of the major airports owned and operated by privatized company formerly known as British Airport Authority (BAA plc), now Heathrow Airport Holdings. Heathrow Airport Holdings owns and operates four major airports in the UK, including London Heathrow, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Southampton. However, in this case study, London Heathrow would be the writer’s main interest as to look at the effect of its privatization and find the possible impacts that it might have on the economy and society in general.
As Sassen (40) defined, networks and circus are elementary of global cities, having a well–connected airport is thus critical for linkage of a city with the world as it allows intensive flows of information, people and products. Hong Kong has developed itself into an international aviation hub the holds leading position in both passenger and cargo terms. According to the Airports Council International (), HKIA ranked as number 10 and 1 as the world’s busiest airport by passenger and cargo traffic respectively. We should, of course, be proud of having such an outstanding airport as foundation of our economic success. However, other Asian cities have caught up in challenging Hong Kong’s leadership for their increasing passengers and cargo flows and expansion plan to increase capacity. To what extent the third runway, as suggested by the Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK), can help Hong Kong withstand such a fierce competition?
The heart begins racing the moment the car pulls into the airport parking lot. The smell of jet fuel, automobile exhaust, and hot tarmac combine to assault the senses with images of exotic escapes and the kind of freedom that can only come from airports. I feel the thrum of the engines at takeoff and the vibration of the plane during the flight in my skin. I see people listening to MP3s and playing video games. I hear the couple behind me chatting about the weather in Florida and the possibility of rain. I recognize the smell of fading perfume that women are wearing. Chanel, Windsong and White Diamonds clash with the smell of popcorn and Quizno sandwiches.
Airports are vast facilities covering many acres of land where passenger beginning the flight portions of their travels. The first flight by the Wright brothers in Kitty Hawk, NC in 1903 only required a runway. As the technology of flight advanced to offer passenger service, there was soon a need for a building to manage passenger needs. Airports of today provide many key services needed for the traveler whether they are beginning, transferring, or ending their journeys. The demand for air transportation rises each year, according to the Department of Transportation (United States Department of Transportation, 2013) 815.3 passengers traveled by airplanes in 2012. With the demand expected to rise, airports must be able to keep pace with services. There are many different services provided however, this report will discuss terminal design, baggage handling, and ground access.
Both of the two auto vehicles are brought into the human industry as the use of benefit students’ lives become more convenient traveler. In commons, the two automobile created opportunities jobs in the economic companies’ nation. Plus, several students did not noticed that both cars and public transportation have one major similar concept where two of the transit vehicle produce environmental pollution, traffic congestion, and oil consumption problems. Mostly, both of the automobile still release noxious gases into the air, and over time the built up can change the environment global warming to like an unhealthy
A very important aspect of tourism is the transport, transport consists of traveling by air, road, railway and sea. The levels of transportation have been rising at an alarming rate due to the increase in population around the world and due to the increase in traveling tourists. With the increase in the number of tourist, this comes with a consequence, as tourism is responsible for the large amount of air transmissions. These emissions, as well as those that provide the tourists with their important needs such as electricity have great and extremely harmful effects on South Africa's environment for example the wildlife, our fertile soils, the purity of the water supplies, it can even harm human lives and effect our crops. With all these important things being harmed we are risking food shortages due to chemicals effecting the crops, which over a long time can be extremely life threa...

There were a lot of environmental disaster happened such as climate change, global warming, various of pollutions, earthquake and etc. the rise of environmental issues begin with this urban development occur through several countries following with the technologies equip along. For sure, development will cause a huge negative impact to the environment if it deals without a care. Besides, the environment is the place in the ecosystem to hold and use in finding resources to continuously survive in this world. Thus, the finding and digging for the resources which happening extensively without preservation will not restore the surrounding similar with before. But then, the change cannot be refuse and people need to take an action to save the threaten the world and the ecosystem from being extinct. If each country has own output in causing an environmental problem, then consider the world to hold all the damage occurred. Exposing the effects of environmental issues throughout the world, make people realize the important to take care the environment.
In this modern era, the level of pollution worldwide has been increasing consistently which in turn has brought harm to humans via many different ways. Consequently, the government must find a solution to solve this problem as speedily as possible. However, banning the ownership of private vehicles is not the only and definitely not the best way to decrease pollution. Although carbon emissions from vehicles do contribute towards a significant amount of pollution, banning the ownership of private vehicles in modern day society is unnecessary because pollution can also be caused by many other factors such as bad lifestyle choices on humanity’s part, lack of stricter or enforcement of environmental laws by governments as well as the fact that vehicles are an essential part of modern city life.
