One trait that the writer is lacking in his quote is clarity. He says that because civilization can never be sustainable, we should halt it. The word "halt" needs to be clarified. Does he mean that we should stop trying to advance our world and stay where we are? Does he mean that we should stop trying to be civilized and let everyone do whatever they want?
