I think Andy warhol printed Marilyn Monroe after hers death because she was a social icon. Marilyn had become a brand and not a person and i think that this was the point of making this. She was dead but her picture was everywhere. He painted Marilyn like he painted the campbell's soup can. He was fascinated about popular culture. Like Elvis Presley or James Dean. They were both very famous in their life but when they died they become a commercial franchise. It’s the same for Marilyn. So Andy Warhol’s painting pf Marilyn Monroe should seen less as a portrait and more as a social
comment.
Many might have been working on Good Friday, but many others were enjoying The Frist Museum of Visual Arts. A museum visitor visited this exhibit on April 14, 2017 early in the morning. The time that was spent at the art museum was approximately two hours and a half. The first impression that one received was that this place was a place of peace and also a place to expand the viewer’s imagination to understand what artists were expressing to the viewers. The viewer was very interested in all the art that was seen ,but there is so much one can absorb. The lighting in the museum was very low and some of the lighting was by direction LED lights. The artwork was spaciously
Henri Matisse and Vincent Van Gogh were great artists that contributed to their art styles overwhelmingly. The first one, Matisse, was a French artist known his talented way of using color and his original style of draughtsman ship. He is primarily known as a painter, but also excelled in being a sculptor. Along the likes of Picasso and Duchamp, Matisse is known as one of the artists that helped to revolutionize plastic arts. During his lifetime, he was called by many as a Fauvre, but in his later years he began to be considered more in the realm of the classical French style of painting. On the other hand, Vincent van Gogh was a Dutch artist that belonged to the Dutch style of post-impressionism. He did several types of works like portraits,

Paul Revere is Copley’s only finished portrait of an artisan dressed in shirtsleeves and shown at work. Revere is shown half length, seated behind a highly polished table, and casually attired. He cradles his chin in his right hand and regards the viewer as if he has just looked up from the teapot in his left hand; the pot is finished but remains undecorated, and the engraving tools at Revere’s elbow attest to the work yet to come. When Copley painted Revere’s portrait, his sitter was an accomplished, well-established silversmith and master of the rococo style, both in engraving and in three dimensional hollow ware such as teapot. He completed the Sons of Liberty Bowl , now considered one of the United States’ most cherished historical treasures,
Jean-François Millet was a French painter who is well known for his pieces depicting peasant farmers. In 1857, he created a piece of artwork known as The Gleaners, an oil painting on canvas located in France. This piece directly illustrates peasants and the rural life in art.
This process is unquestionably different from natural tanning of skin nevertheless the effect obtained may be the same. Compromise is involved when it comes to costume use. What you ought not do when cleaning your abstract canvas art is usually to spray it with water or with chemical cleaners. But when she produced surprisingly beautiful paintings, individuals were shocked. My makeup brushes and sponges have been so hard to clean.
Marilyn Monroe was and still is one of the most well known actresses, models, and popular sex icons of her time and in this time. She had to overcome a lot to get to where she was when she tragically died in 1962. She had no father, a crazy mother and no where to go to. Marilyn spent most of her childhood in foster care and orphanages and when she escapes the life of being in foster care she climbs the ladder of success to become Hollywood’s leading sex symbol. Marilyn Monroe overcame a rough childhood and became a well-known model and sex icon.

Andy Warhol’s Gold Marilyn Monroe is a canvas with a silkscreen of Marilyn Monroe’s face. It is placed behind gold background. Warhol produced this painting of Monroe to imitate how the public perceived the film start. The image portrayed in the painting also shows the side of Monroe that is not seen when not in the medias eyes. It can be portrayed as a sad figure, one who’s life is not all that it seems to be. The painting is reflected in a time when media has an influence in the people’s perception of life, how they should live and what to strive for.
Relax is a poster that is set on the beach. In the background of the painting you see a body of ocean that looks to be in a bay. There are five palm trees in the poster that looks to be swaying into the wind. Hooked onto two of the palm trees is a hammock. Below the hammock where the palm trees are embedded into the ground is sand, as if you are on a beach. The poster is in black and white. Below the painting on the poster is the saying “The poor long for riches. The rich long for heaven, But the wise desire tranquility.” There are no clouds in the sky so even though it is in black and white it seems to be a clear and sunny day. In the right corner of the painting on the poster there is a pier that is going out into the ocean. On the pier there is a light post hanging over
The purpose of the present paper is to discuss a very interesting piece of art, Fra Filippo Lippi's “Portrait of a woman with a man at a Casement”. I will begin by the analysis of the formal qualities of the painting such as the composition, the color, line, texture, proportion, balance, contrast and rhythm. I will then discuss how the work fits a certain stylistic category. I will demonstrate that the painting reflects the social and cultural trends of the period in which it was created.
In ''Portrait of a Lady" music becomes one of the factors of attachment. Part one is beginning with contemptuous allusions to "the latest Pole" who broadcasts "the Preludes, through his hair and finger-tips." The dialogue of the piano performance of Chopin, "so intimate," transforms to "attenuated tones of violins" and "remote cornets" as the lady speaks. When the poem goes back to the voice of the man, those noises have been changed to flat "windings of the violins" and "cracked cornets." These not so positive attributes go on as he explains his ideas in the musical metaphors of a "dull tom-tom," "Absurdly hammering a prelude," "Capricious monotone," show the woman's voice has the displeasing, "out-of-tune," resemblance of a "broken violin." Eliot repeats "always”, “sure” and “feelings” to render this urge. As well as the "street piano," like the man's self-worth, is "mechanical and tired," it is no longer authentic, it will solely repeat "some worn-out common song." Eventually the music finishes, it ends with a "dying fall."
On the field trip to the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in Hagerstown, Maryland I chose a painting of Still Life from the Smith’s gallery, painted by a nineteenth-century American artist, Robert Spear Dunning who lived from 1828 to 1905.

Several human figures can also be found gathered around one central human figure who is lying on the ground with the other figures of children around him. The figure of the man is in the foreground of the painting in the center. His arms are oriented in positions indicating fatigue or anguish, one arm by his side tucked tightly in toward his body, and the other is stretched over his head bent at the elbow and draping over his forehead. The man's clothing seems rather loose and baggy exposing his chest and stomach, while also leaving his legs from the knee down exposed. But his feet are being covered by the figures of two human children so it is unknown whether he is wearing shoes. While this man lays in the field there are also many different species of flowers that spring from the ground all around him. Some seem to be placed next to him while
