Founded in 1937, Air Canada is Canadas largest and leading airline service provider, providing low-cost high-quality air travel to over 45 million scheduled passengers yearly. Air Canada provides scheduled, cargo and charter air travel on flights for passengers to nearly 200 destinations around the world as well air travel within Canada. Air Canada currently owns more than 800 flights that accommodate the different needs of every guest. Air Canada prides itself on providing one of Canadas best guest services. Air Canada has sub-divided its airline services to accommodate the different needs of their customers. Every air-travel service provided by Air Canada allows a passenger to fly on a plane from one destination to another. The travel package includes meals for the time on the aircraft, Wi-Fi, and shipments of travel luggage. Depending on the budget and preference of the guest they can choose the type of service/seat on the aircraft they prefer. Services start from the basic package Economy class flight’s and increase with additional features as the price paid by the guest increases. Other services are Premium Economy Class Flight seats, Business Class flight seats and the most expensive service with the most luxurious feature’s is First class flight seats. Regardless, of which service the guest chooses they are provided with the same basic travel package as every other air traveler on an Air Canada flight. Air Canada demonstrate a passion for their business every day allowing them to achieve the record net income of $876 million and $14, 677 million in operating revenue as of the year ended December 32, 3016. Air Canada has significantly increased their 2015 net income of $308 million to $876 million in 2016. From viewing the annual report of Air Canada, the net income has been steadily increasing for the past 10 years up until 2016 where it had a drastic increase. The increase in income is due to the new implements of the program Aero Miles points where guests receive points for flying with Air Canada which can later redeem and receive discounts on their flights. This encourages guests to continue to travel by Air Canada more often now that they are receiving a discount.
