A true leader has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions, and the compassion to listen to the needs of others. One does not set out to be a leader, but becomes one by the equality of his actions and the integrity of his intent. First of all, leadership is something that is managed and not given. It is true that most leaders will focus solely on the negative aspects and often refer to negative bias. This is because our brains are hardwired to solely focus on the negative part of incident. The article, “The Highest Priority Of Successful Business Leaders: Their Employees”, says most workers are not engaged in their work because of lack of motivation. Based on evidence it says if a business leader says a couple of encouraging words before the work day begins, it will brighten their employees day. According to the article, most business leaders do not often communicate well to their employees. In addition to lack of communication, there is a minimal amount of compassion between the employees and leaders. This causes a lack of encouragement to their employees’s outside life. Most leaders will limit their praise to amazing accomplishment in the department. Manager has demonstrated humility and will to earn other people respect. This will show how good the manager can be by showing humbleness and showing compassion for their co-workers. They should allow others to gain the credit from their hard work. Most managers provide a vision to their projects. This means they have exceptions to what the project should look like. They are using action to connect their vision in their goals. They usually set compatible samples for their co-workers to follow and understand the benefitted of completed the project. Also the best manager allowed communication to flow between their employees. This way they are less likely to be any miscommunication or issues. A good manager needs to ask questions towards an employee to excite them. It also allows them to praise excellent work. A leader should run a business with passion and love but not fear. They need a mixture of these qualities to become an effective leader. Because a feared leader can damage a person trust in one. It can influence a person’s opinion about that person and will be unable to fulfilled their assignment in a timely manner. This could lead to high turnover rates of people quitting.
