Picking the second captain is really tough because I am friends with them and know them all personally. I know that they all have a lot of potential and great leadership qualities to be captain. Overall though knowing these ladies for 2-3 years I think that no matter the outcome being apart of the team and being upper class men they will still be proactive within the team and continue to set a good example to the other players. Judging by the last two weeks of practice, I still think Lauren Merkel would be a strong captain. I have seen her step up a ton this year. I see her reaching out and getting to know all the new players as well as constantly encouraging everyone during warmups and drills. I think this helps a considerable amount in making
I believe that this team it’s composed of three members that bring a well-defined set of skills, strengths and social and ethic believes that make it into a well-balanced management team. “Whatever the business, a small firm needs managers with an appropriate combination of education, experience, and skills.” (Longenecker, Petty, Palich, Hoy, Pg. 197) Having a strong management team should be an important part of a business plan when appropriate and I believe Fenton, Hoffer, and Le Tuan accomplished this.
...oup that should be left unrecognized, the women. Players from the lower groups do not strive to become members of the professional players, as professional players do not wish to move down in the ranks. The order is set; there are very few transfers between the groups.
When I found out that I was one of the captains of the Varsity Sideline team, I had a beaming smile and felt satisfied with my achievement. As captain, cheerleaders on the varsity and the JV squads come to me with questions and small issues, and I enjoy the opportunity to help them. I have become even more organized and mature because the coach looks to me for help. Being selected as lead captain has had many rewards, it gave me a boost of confidence and inspired me to campaign for other leadership
Up until this point, she was observing the team and allowing others to take the lead while she assessed the team. A new leader asserting authority can be beneficial in the state of uncertainty and low performance, especially when the team is dysfunctional. The expectations were now clearly stated. Also, the message that Kathryn sent was that she was committed to improving the team, and more importantly, she expected everyone else to be too. Kathryn was a successful team builder and knew she had to take the team out of their comfort zone to begin the true process of team building, knowing if this team had any chance at all all team members had to actively

Equal Playing Time A high school student athlete; she gives up her social life and after school time for playing, practicing, and perfecting the sport she loves in hopes of making it to college, or an even higher level of competition. She has chased this dream for all of her life, going to camps, spending her free time sharpening her craft, becoming the athlete she visions; only to get put on the bench and replaced with someone who barely made the team and shows up to practice 2 times a week because the coach is required to give students the same amount of playing time. A player not working as hard as another does not deserve playing time benefits because the coach is required to give it to them.
Getting ahead in school work is something that most people want to do. Whether it be just taking AP courses, skipping a grade, or taking dual credit classes. If you want to take AP classes at Legacy, sorry, you’re out of luck. However, there is an alternative way to earn college credit at Legacy. This is by taking dual credit classes. Taking a dual credit class means that you will be taking a college course that is given by a college for both college credit and high school credit. Yes, you read that right. If you do dual credit, you will be taking college level courses, and BE in college while you are in high school.
Albert Borgmann follows the general project by Heidegger to see how technology has harmful effects on humanity and to determine how it can be reformed. Borgmann shares Heidegger’s view that modern technology is starkly different from premodern technology in its pattern of disclosing the world to human beings. Borgmann agrees that a sort of ethical reform must be undertaken to limit technological ways of living from dominating the lives of individuals and to keep technology in its place. His proposal for a direction of reform first takes cues from Heidegger but then asserts the need for different tactics.
The captain has the potential to effect more results than the assistant coach and/or even the head coach. Captains leave effects on others on every level and interact with everyone; they have the capability of influencing the coach and teaching other players. Captains must ensure that they never step out of line and must keep his or her team in order. They have to have his or her mind on the sport constantly, and always be aware of what they are doing. Captains will always have a lot on their shoulders and coaches should look for more in a captain than just athletic ability. They should also look for commitment, confidence, and intelligence to ensure they choose the best person to lead their team to the championship.
I believe that’s she is able to take on that position and still be a wonderful teammate and still be able to interact with the crowd also she is still able to be a part of the fundraisers events and support the high school. Another way I view the situation is to create happiness for all and everyone should have the opportunity to have
I believe that leadership is an important skill to have, especially when teamwork is involved. Over the many years that I have played, I wanted the team to be really close. I thought that in order to be successful we must all treat each other like we wanted to be treated. The experience of being around the girls and coaches on my team made me feel like they were my second family. I would spend almost the same amount of time around them as I would my own family at home. I am extremely thankful that I have friends on the team and it is an honor for me to be one of their leaders.
If I got granted this amazing opportunity, I would be thrilled. I have time to focus on colorguard and would always be willing to improve the team. I am ready to focus and lead these girls to do amazing things this year. However, I do understand that they are many other girls applying for this spot and that I may not get this. All I want is for the West Central colorguard to do great things in 2014 with or without me as captain.
Overall, I would rather have James Kirk as the captain of the Enterprise. I believe that all the admirable qualities a captain must have are all things shown in Kirk. Without him as captain the ship would not function in the same smooth manner. Ultimately, his logic, ability to command others, and humanity are what makes Kirk the better
For this I have developed the characteristic of being honest and true to my words, to bring the environment of just and fairness. I gave due respect to all players, so they can trust ne and start thinking for team’s benefits. Essentially, as a coach my motto in this regard was “equal rewards for equal performance.” I gave my team members full confidence to speak-up when they have any kind of issue. In this prospect some of my senior coaches also helped me in becoming a good leader and coach. They provided their complete guidance and support which helped me in a lot in achieve my goal. They also helped in developing right kind of attitude that influenced the behavior of all the athletes. As leaders are individuals who significantly affect the thoughts and behavior of others, not through coercion but rather through persuasion. So by adopting this positive attitude I became successful in resolving all the conflicts in the players. One of the biggest challenge which I had faced being a leader was to select a strong and competent captain because it is very difficult situation when a captain is not a solid player. After giving due attention and by evaluating their performance, I select a solid captain who is also a solid player. Now it’s
A mixture of multiple leadership styles, she was able to lead in her own way. For example, her leadership style was very similar to servant leadership, in regards to how much she valued the members of her team. Coach McKeever was quoted saying, “It is not about winning but being a better version of yourself. What happens at the end is a celebratory by-product of the work we do.” Although she was able to transform the culture of the university and make them a winning school, she still cherished the well-being and improvement of the swimmers. McKeever’s leadership style allowed for everyone to have a voice, similar to participative leadership. She was very receiving of constant feedback and total honest, no matter if it was convenient or
