This reflection document will touch on three very important topics regarding education and transformative learning, as follows, the context of the experience of transformation, learning circles and feedback systems and finally systems perspectives. The following article will show my understanding of the material and my learning as a whole.
While learning the material, one very important question appears in my mind, who is a real teacher and what does it mean. To my understanding, being a teacher means having great knowledge, wisdom, and authority. It must be admitted that, there are not only the standards-based teachers but also incredibly giving educators, who create open environments where students can deepen their inquiries, where child’s intellectual, emotional, social and moral potentials are carefully cultivated and guided. More specifically, the role and the mission of the real teacher are to positively inspire the students. Personally I have never thought that the greatest teacher is the one who can become the real student, in other words - transformative. I guess this is the window into becoming a real teacher. As a teacher, my impact can be measured in the transformation of my students as they transform and redefine me. My own observations reveal that real teachers see what is good and worthwhile in their students, hear their students. I’ve learnt that transformative learning helps me to be authentic, individuated and critically reflective practitioner. I wonder how useful and helpful they are. I discover that circle sessions are the most fun and become great motivator for my students. From a practical perspective, circle session promotes asking and listening, demonstrates an important element of respect. At first I needed some time to establish familiarity with the circle framework in order my students begin to engage in the circle sessions, but a while later they realized how enjoyable circles can be. Once I tried this circle session and now I am using it every week. I have noticed that some students take it with great enthusiasm. They create their own games or bring in new ideas from home. We use stories, pictures and video clips, which enable them to discuss emotions and difficult issues. In my opinion, the purpose of the circle session is to support each other in the process of learning. It is important to say that in the process both students and teachers are involved. In general, circle sessions are great choice for the teachers. I have noticed the positive feelings and reflections from my students, which is much more important part of teaching. Everyone interacts with each other and arouses interests of everyone. It is an incredible thing for me that some time passed and students have learnt to avoid put-downs and learn to listen each other. As I read these articles, I agreed with almost everything that was said. The Great Teacher Question: Beyond Competencies, by Edward R. Ducharme begins with a sentence that basically sums up my reason for teaching, “I begin this essay by defining a great teacher as one who influences others in positive ways so that their lives are forever altered” (Ducharme, 1991 p. 2). Over the course of a student’s education they will have many teachers, but there are maybe only one or two who are THE teacher. The teacher who impacts this child’s life in a positive way forever. As the dull scent of chalk dust mixes imperceptably with the drone of the teacher's monotone, I doodle in my tablet to stay awake. I notice vaguely that, despite my best efforts in the shower this morning after practice, I still smell like chlorine. I sigh and wonder why the school's administration requires the students to take a class that, if it were on the Internet, would delight Mirsky (creator of Mirsky's Worst of the Web), as yet another addition to his list of worthless sites. Still, there was hope that I would learn something that would make today's first class more than just forty-five wasted minutes... It wouldn't be the first time I learned something new from the least likely place.
Throughout my childhood, the idea of having a college education was greatly stressed. As a result, it was my duty as the next generational child, to excel in my studies and achieve a life of prosperity and success. Learning became the basic foundation of my growth. Therefore, my youth was overtaken by many hours spent reading and writing what was known to be correct "Standard" English. I first found this to be a great shortcoming, but as I grew older, I began to realize the many rewards acquired by having the ability to be literate.
Transformative learning therefore is a fluid process that examines, challenges, questions and later revises perceptions. The process or discovery and evolving revision is the function of transformative learning. The authors also state that the core of transformative learning theory is based on constructivist, humanism and critical social theory.

It was not until middle school that I began distinguishing those of my teachers who motivated and inspired me from those who simply went through the motions of teaching. It was also about that same time that I began envisioning myself as an educator -- one who not only impressed his students with the mastery of content but also impressed upon his students the need to perform at the highest academic level possible. When you really think about it, an education is simply an instrument with as many uses that an individual can come across; however, it is also something that is taken for granted by so many. Educating our youth and society is essential to the survival of the human race, and making sure that all children not only receive a full, well-rounded education but also take nothing for granted is a serious challenge for today's educator. I possess that inner desire to make a difference; I hold myself in that light hoping to inspire and motivate generations of students to come. To accomplish this dream, though, I will need much more than sheer desire and determination. In fact, any hopeful educator must subscribe to philosophies and strategies ranging from teaching styles to discipline, from motivational techniques to leadership. In the following text, I will attempt to touch on all of these issues and also spend some time discussing such topics as educational reform and mainstreaming in the classroom.
Summer vacation, and school ends for about three months, and then you have as much fun as you can, then back to school… right? Well I had to go to summer school, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Everything was going fine, I had a job after summer school, and that was going fine as well. They say that summer is supposed to be fun and exciting, and it usually is for me and my family. However in July my father started coughing up blood. My father usually doesn’t make it his top priority to go to the doctors, so he waited about four weeks until he really didn’t feel good.

Jaime Escalante, a great educator, once said, “The teacher gives us the desire to learn, the desire to be Somebody.” As a teacher, my goal will be to show students that each of them can be whatever they want to be, and not only are they capable of being good at what they do, they can be the best. Being a teacher is not an easy task as many people could think. To be a teacher does not only imply to know the subject to be taught, it also includes being willing to constantly improve oneself integrally, as much as updating the resources and materials one uses in teaching. Besides all this a good teacher, a professional one, will have to find the time to keep preparing to improve oneself.
An effective teacher will excite, inspire and motivate students to be active in their learning, investigate new areas of knowledge and make connections to future learning (Whitton et al 2010). When a teacher is successful, their students are motivated, mutually respectful and ready to build on their knowledge and solve real-world problems. To be a teacher of value, one must have many skills and qualities to cater for a diversity of learners and their individual development; this includes many personal traits that are noticed students.
There are many things which make a teacher great and they all can`t be defined.However i`ve always considered several of them essential.In my opinion a good teacher is someonewho first of all creates interest in studying,doesn`t underestimate the children,has equal expectations of siccess from everyone and last but not least likes his job.
