18-year-old teenager decided to get an abortion. People told her it’s the right thing to do that she’s still young, not ready, and she has a life ahead to live. So her first and last choice was to get an abortion. Doctors told her that it would take eight minutes and she would feel only a little discomfort afterwards. Unfortunately they lied. Little did she know that it will ruin 7 years of her life. Now she’s 25 feeling miserable and heart broken regretting the day she made that decision. This story touched my feelings emotionally. It is the reason why I decided to write about this topic. Just the fact that pregnant women, or mothers have the courage to end a life of their own innocent child is heart breaking. I would like to reach out to …show more content…
Nowadays abortion is easy to obtain, people tend to use it as a form of birth control, however abortion is nothing like birth control, In fact it is totally different. Abortion is not a procedure that saves a situation, and allows a person to move on, it is a procedure that causes serious emotional, and psychological problems, that women, or even men cant escape from.[5]( Considering Abortion: Explore All Your Options.) Just the though of killing a baby puts family members in deep sadness, and, depression. Moreover it can cause short-term to long-term physical risks. It is a serious issue that is discussed among societies, and countries. We live every single day, hour, minute accepting the point that millions of lives are ending, and no one is doing something about it. Doctors put all their effort in saving humans, but they can simply end lives through a simple procedure. They say that abortion is needed when a women is carrying a handicapped baby, but who said that there is no value from a handicapped person? All people are special, a woman could have aborted a baby that could have been an important figure. Its time that the world realizes that abortion is not a method that helps you fix your problems, it is counted as a murder that requires
Abortion, which is defined as a deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, is one of the most controversial issues in society. Many people believe that abortion is unethical and morally wrong, while others believe that it is a woman’s right to decide what to do with her body. According to www.census.gov, “the number of abortions performed annually in the U.S. has leveled off at 1.2 million a year” (1). This statistic supports how many women are choosing abortion. Although abortion is legal in the United States, many people continue to voice their opinions on how it is a human rights violation and should be illegal everywhere. The practice of abortion should be banned in society because it terminates the life of an innocent unborn child, causes long-term emotional effects, as well as major health risks for women who opt for abortion.
The most common conflicts that cause a woman to get an abortion are based on their own personal responsibilities. Sixteen percent of women, who get abortions, believe that their life would be changed too much to acquire a child. Twenty-one percent of expectant mothers feel that they are not ready for the responsibility to care for an adolescent. Few as twelve percent have complications with relationships or are unmarried. One perecent have been raped and/or incested. Twenty-one percent have financial disputes. Eight percent currently bare children and have all they wish for. Three percent have discovered that the baby in the womb has health issues. Four perecent of the abortions are other reasons. Lastly, the abortion pill used to minimize the fetus, does not work, therefore the woman receives an
Abortion is the process of terminating a pregnancy by removing the embryo or fetus before birth. Since abortion became legal in the United States in 1973 after the Roe v. Wade trials, there has been many disputes and debates on whether or not the practice of abortion is ethical or not. While many people believe that a woman should have the right to her own body and be able to terminate her pregnancy if she desires to do so, others argue that it is murder. There are many arguments for and against abortion. My points in this paper for the PROs of abortions are #1, Abortions Procedures and #2, women’s rights. I will talk about how abortion being legal offers a safe abortion procedure, and how and why it is a woman 's right to choose what is best
Abortion is an immoral act of killing and there are other much more logical moral ways to handle unwanted pregnancies. This paper full of information is to show the crewel harsh side of abortion so people can know that there is more to the act than the convenience makes it look like. The baby doesn’t just disappear, the baby dies. Please refer to this to inform others, many people have no idea and this paper will help them
There are many limitations valued when it comes to the right of abortion. The news media still outlines the pros and cons of anti-abortion rights in certain-states-to soon, the entire country. My perspectives on the issue of abortion have been entitled from it to never be banned among citizen’s rights. The reproduction of pregnancy has been emphasized heavily on a mother’s decision to abort their child, but the father of the child plays an active role since he considers to that particular title. Through this current issue, majority of the people against abortion do not seem to have an open mind to how much it primarily affects the decision of the mother amongst her own views of considering abortion.
Abortion is a voluminous topic today all around the world. Differing viewpoints on abortion are recognized in politics, religion, and throughout the general population. There is a small amount of people who are nonchalant on the subject. Women have abortions for many different reasons and according to certain groups these reasons are either justified or not. Everyone tends to have their own articulated opinion, and many vocalize tenaciously what they believe. Pro-life individuals along with religion are sanguine that abortion is ethically and morally erroneous. Whereas those who are pro-choice say that abortion is inconsequential and the mother’s choice is more important than the fetus. Reasons to not get an abortion include risks involved in receiving an abortion. In some cases death can occur. However, there are other alternatives to abortion. For example, raising the child and adoption.
I have made my two proposed ideas on this topic. A heartfelt issue that roams across America today, should be ceased in every way possible. For I hear the cries of the babies who cannot speak. The women who later turn their backs after the murder of their own children. My voice is the voice of the children. If one cannot speak for them, I should stand and take part. I brought attention to this issue, and hope that those who are involved in such ruthless act should change their ways and help a child. For the guilt may come pouring on your souls and never again will you be the same.
Many women describe it as a privilege and miracle, while others consider the act itself of conceiving and carrying another human being as an inexplicable feeling. Those women that enjoy the opportunity of being a mother cherish every moment and appreciate it as a wonderful gift. Although this stands as a beautiful thing, there exists women choosing to abort. Women of all ages may face the decision of whether or not to terminate the life that they carry in their womb through the abortion process. Nevertheless, late term abortion results in terrifying consequences. The procedure causes health complications for the mother, inflicts pain on a living fetus, and kills the unborn baby.
Abortion is the termination of a pregnancy by the removal or expulsion of a fetus or embryo from the uterus before viability (dictionary.com). Those who disagree with abortion think that this is not right, mid evil and a form of murder. All of those thoughts are correct; abortion is the act of removing a fetus from the protection of the mother’s uterus. However, is it not the duty of the mother to protect her unborn child? In this day in age, we are still allowing this barbaric method of ending a pregnancy to happen despite the many alternatives. If an unexpected pregnancy should occur, abortion should not the only option. There are many reasons why abortion should not be illegal in all parts of the world, and people need to know the options available. Adoption is certainly a strong option in a world wanting for children. Abortion is not a method of birth control and people need to be educated on pregnancy prevention and take on some responsibilities.
However after long time, abortion remains question under discussions. There are strong arguments both for and against abortion. Therapeutic abortion that is one of the most disputable topic in modern society is evident capable of generating intense passions, that lead to a great number of other social issues. In recent decades, on a global scale there is increasing pressure for changes in abortion which could lead to a various consequences.
There are thousands of women in the world make the mistake of getting pregnant. Yes, there are forms of contraception but they are not 100% effective in preventing pregnancy. Approximately 1.4 million abortion procedures are done each year in the United States, with 30% of those women being younger than forty-five years old (ProCon). Without abortion, there would be an abundance of children who are brought into the world unwanted and not being able to have the essentials they need to go through life successfully. The most difficult responsibility a woman would have to go through is finances. 85% of women who wish to have an abortion are unmarried and have to support the child alone (“Abortion Procedures”). Abortion can save a woman from going through financial distress when she is aware that she is not financially stable. Teen pregnancy is common in the world and they are not at a point in life where taking care of someone else, other than themselves, is possible to do alone. Thirty-nine states allow minors to go through the abortion procedure with parent consent (“Abortion Procedures”). All fifty states should allow this because if teens could not receive that choice, then they would have to carry an unwanted baby that they could not take care of after giving birth. Most abortion procedures are during the first trimester (Lowen). During the first weeks of pregnancy the development of the fetus is a gather of cells, therefore killing cells is not killing an actual person so abortion should not be considered murder.
Abortion is can be defined as the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy (Dordon,2012). It is sensitive but yet popular topic that brings a lot of debate in both the government and as well as with religion and everyday life (Gauthier, 1986). Why is abortion such a controversial issue? The reason for this is because with abortion it allows a woman to put an end to their pregnancy when they want too (Korsgaard, 2013). The problem with that is when women do that they are also abolishing the life of a primitive embryo, also known as a fetus. The issue of abortion dates back to over thousands of years ago (Warren,1997). In the United States of America abortion began to become an issue around 1820 (Dordon,2012) . At the time the law had stated that abortion could only be performed on individuals if they had not reach the fourth month mark into their pregnancy(Gauthier, 1986). If they were already at the fourth mark they were rejected for legal abortion procedure and it was then considered illegal. There are different types of procedures that are used for an abortion (Korsgaard, 2013).There are only two types that are really in the United ...
There is no doubt that abortion leads too mental and in some terms physical damages and possible regret. Many people whom have similar views have formed groups, one group call themselves the pro-life and generally have a secular audience. They argue for the support for human rights and that everyone should have rights, as long as you don’t kill anybody. This begs another question; does abortion kill an innocent human being? Another argument that will women die of unsafe abortions if it is illegal and the women will have no choice but to resort to terminating the unwanted child herself.
The room was dark and cold. I still recall the chills running down my spine. The walls in the room seem like a prison without bars and the room appear to be surrounded with demons eager to enjoy the great pain I was about to have. I still remember wanting to scream and shout “Stop! I don’t want to do this, is there any other choice besides the one I am about to do.” I could feel the presence of my controlling boyfriend telling me that society was going to judge and criticized me for being pregnant at a young age, and my family was going to be mad and ashamed of me. Therefore, I had no other choice than to have an abortion. As a young teen mother I was afraid, I was not aware that I had other choices besides having an abortion. I had many dreams
Abortion has been one of the most talked about topics in society just about anywhere from television, magazines, whether or not it should be the right or wrong thing to do. Abortion is a very sensitive issue to discuss, because of its nature. Many people have said that abortion is a very bad thing to do and it should not even be choice whether or not to abort a living fetus. People think that abortion is committing murder as it is killing the human fetus. However, others feel that a woman should have a voice and have the right to choose to keep the child or not and that it is not murder until the baby is born. Majority of individuals who believe that abortion is bad say that the fetus is human who is partly being formed and to have an abortion is considered to be murder. For the people who think an abortion is ok, say that it’s not considered murder unless the child is born. I believe that abortion should be seen in which the stage the fetus is in. if the fetus is in an early stage of pregnancy it is not considered murder, but if the fetus has already began to develop into a larger fetus then it is indeed considered to be murder. There are times when abortion can be accepted, if the mother is having complications due to pregnancy. For example if the mother is enduring complications in her pregnancy that can harm her, because of the child in that case it is ok to perform an abortion to help save the mother’s life. It is also very important to understand this type of situation. The mother has the right to have an abortion and it is her decision because a mother knows best about her health conditions.
