My first reason why homework is not beneficial to students is that most researchers think homework is bad for students. According to Robert Marzano , ¨Research fails to show homework´s effectiveness.¨ Also , The Huffington Post states that ¨Critics call homework a form of child abuse.¨ And according to Alfie Kohn´s text , ¨homework is all pain and no gain.¨ This is why homework is not helpful to students.

My second reason why homework is not beneficial to students is that it takes away from family time and extracurricular activities. An article by NBC News states that ¨Homework takes away from family time and does not improve academic performance. ¨ Also Robert Marzano stated that ¨too much homework harms student´s health and family time
