Personal Narrative: My High School Life

Throughout my high school life, it has been a goal of mine to be as active in my society as I possibly can, whether it was being part of organisations, clubs, activities, and volunteering. In my first year of high school, I volunteered at the academic department of my school, tutoring children who faced difficulties with their studies at the elementary school. Due to my determination and dedication in making the children succeed, I sacrificed three of my hour and a half breaks per week, where I finally reached my goal. By the end of the year, all 9 of my elementary students were skyrocketing to A’s in all their classes. i took this position very seriously, in order to produce the best result, with the knowledge that I've gained from the leadership training camp. Throughout the year, i had organised a fun day for the ‘Sanabis Orphanage’ hosted by the school, a bake sale to which all proceeds went to the ‘Bahrain Cancer Society’, and a field trip to the Bahrain Elderly Home. I am also a part in many school organisations and clubs. I am a member of the Model United Nations club in my school, and have participated in many hugely successful MUN events yearly across the country. I am also a Board member for the Volunteers For Change organisation run solely by students, who connect with societies of different purposes in order to volunteer, lend a hand, and give to the community. Planning and hosting events such as beach clean-ups and walkathons for a cause is something that we have done over the years. I have spent most of my winter breaks at Bambino day care centre, for a no-pay job, looking after babies and toddlers. The job has taught me great commitment and responsibility skills. This job also taught me to be attentive and focused, for any slight mistake could risk the life of an individual. The joy of going to work everyday, that has been the greatest payment I've ever
