How High School Has Shaped Me
Throughout my four years in high school I have been fortunate enough to fulfill many of my aspirations and my thirst for knowledge. One goal that I would like to achieve is to become an international attorney. I have aligned my involvement in specific academic and extra-curricular activities to aid me preparing for the long road between my present situation and the day I pass the bar exam. Through my high school activities I have learned three virtues that I have deemed necessary to achieve my goal, passion, self-discipline, and perseverance.
One organization that has help me tremendously along the way is the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I have been involved since I first entered high school and have seen the potential, first hand, that a passionate believer can have on a persons moral and social outlook on life. When I was first inducted in the National Technical Honor Society, we were lacking in numbers and character. Our members were not involved and we weren’t taken seriously on campus, I decided that my high school chapter of the National Technical Honor Society needed a leader that was willing to seriously dedicate their time and energy to the organization. Since then I have held a leadership position every year. With my help and the help of like-minded individuals the National Technical Honor Society chapter at my high school has done a complete 180-degree spin from when I first arrived. We even raised enough money last year to give out three five hundred dollar scholarships to outgoing seniors. This progress however did not come easy; It took great perseverance from myself and the dedicated members of the National Technical Honor Society. Through this experience I have learned how to persevere in a predicament, which will help me on the long journey I have until I complete my career
