Worldview expression is the quintessential way to elucidate what is going on within us, as well as the agency which telegraphs our cognitive claims and operative beliefs back to the world. That is, what we speak and do, reveals the lens upon which we view the world around us. From a personal application standpoint, theism, the worldview lens by which I base my decisions and actions, encompasses and influences several realities, namely, when it concerns verity with regard to what I believe and why I trust it, and how it affects my actions within a circadian cyclical system. Indeed, a Christian theistic worldview has been an instigator of change in my life, and answers the why and how of who we are and where we are going. Embracing the opportunity …show more content…

First, the scriptures are a fundamental reality to the veracity of a Christian worldview and provide the framework upon which, not only a theistic worldview can be structuralized, but God’s existence can be validated. Admittedly, textual reliability is paramount to the Christian theistic worldview, and the basis upon which we rest our doctrine and day to day belief system formulation. Furthermore, the scriptures confirm its own infallibility and the existence of God due to the generous number of manuscripts available, the sound archeological evidence that has been disinterred, prophetic proclamations that have been fulfilled and prodigious mathematical probabilities concerning those prophecies. Indeed, when we examine both the scientific evidence and the prophetic elements that have already come into fruition, we can see more clearly the substance that is there. For example, when I express to another Christian theist that I have experienced God’s presence, often they know what I mean because of what they have encountered on an individual level. This is, however, exclusive to those who can discern spiritual things because the Bible reveals that “the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Corinthians 2:14, King James Version). Therefore, in addition to the scriptures buttressing the conclusiveness of a Christian theistic position, we have the experience of walking with God brought about by a relationship with Jesus and the inner working of the Holy Spirit. Moreover, years ago, I was on my second divorce, addicted to various drugs—both illegal and legal—and alone in my apartment. I was sequestered in a cold and lonely state, with no hope and no detectable salve to mollify the pain I was experiencing. Amid this inner turmoil, I deducted that it would likely be more advantageous to those around me, including myself, if I took my life. As I held the knife in my hand preparing for the second strike, I cried out to God in a desperate act of decisive final
