Stalking is a course of conduct directed at a specific person that would cause a reasonable person to feel fear. Just about anyone can be a victim, but studies show 75-80% of the cases involve men stalking women.
A famous headline recently made television of a man becoming obsessed with Facebook's founder Mark Zuckerberg. Mark reported Pradeep Manukonda back in 2011. Pradeep was said to be following, threatening, and sending letters to Mark. Pradeep was also seen outside Mark's home. Stalkers usually stalk because they can not let go of another person and become possessive and obsessive. Stalkers can also stalk because they are delusional and believe that they have a connection to their victims, or stalk because they are vengeful and want to get even, either way this can be very terrifying and confusing to their victims.

One question that stuck out in my mind was, “Where did this guy live before coming to Chicago?” The fact that he hadn’t experienced what he was going through before he hit age twenty-two struck me as odd. This led me to assume he originated from a mostly black community where white fear wasn’t common to him. The next thing that struck interest in my mind was the automatic assumption that the women in the alley feared him because he was black, and not because of the fact he was a rather large male at six-feet, two-inches, and had a beard. Not to mention that he was walking behind her late at night down an alleyway with no witnesses. Naturally even I would be wary of a man walking behind me in a situation like that, even if “the stalker” was a women. I do not blame that women for getting out of that situation.
When they feel rejected they can become extremely violent towards whoever they feel rejected them. Celebrities need to be made aware of how to handle stalkers, so that when they are faced with the problem they can deal with it properly. A forensic science graduate states, "Risk management strategies for this type should emphasize the need for professional protection of the target despite the low frequency risk of violence, since the injury is likely to be more serious if violence does occur …" (Mohandie). Many celebrities won't go to the police to report stalkers because they do not believe it is a real problem. This does not help them get the stalker to go away. When celebrities learn about how to deal with stalkers they are more likely to report the problem to the
“Stalking is conservatively defined as "a course of conduct directed at a specific person that involves repeated (two or more occasions) visual or physical proximity, nonconsensual communication, or verbal, written, or implied threats, or a combination thereof, that would cause a reasonable person fear." police then look for a suspect who might possibly have committed it. Profiling means that a suspect is discovered and the police then look for a crime for the person to have possibly committed” (Tator & Henry, 2003, p3).
Racial Profiling can happen to anyone, anywhere such as the streets, in the airports, or even just walking home. Racial profiling and the media influence an individual’s perspective on a trial. Racial Profiling is using someone’s race or ethnic background as suspicion for committing a crime. Evidence from past trials dating back to 1920s Sacco and Vanzetti trial to George Zimmerman’s trial in 2013 prove that racial profiling has existed for nearly a century. According to the article “The Quiet Racism in the Zimmerman Trial” by Steven Mazie, he states

The obsessive-compulsive’s style of functioning is composed of excessive rigidity, the distortion of their subjective experience of autonomy, and the loss of reality. The obsessive-compulsive is highly resistant to the influences of others due to a restriction of cognition. Suspicious thinking and a loss of reality characterize the paranoid style. Projection is the paranoid persons’ primary defense. Paranoid people are chronically suspicious, contributing substantially to their loss of reality. The paranoid actively scans his environment, searches to confirm his suspicions, and ignores evidence that denies what he suspects to be true. The two styles are much alike; they both have a way of having loss of reality at times
A serial killer is a person who murders three or more people over a period of more than 30 days, with a "cooling off" period between each murder, and whose motivation for killing is largely based on psychological gratification. Most people do not understand what can make a person want to kill multiple people for no reason other than own satisfactional gain. In actuality serial killers have been studied for over hundreds of years, and the information that has been documented continues to grow. The research that I have gathered about serial killers focuses on their childhood development, the differences and similarities between men and female serial kills, and finally general information on how their brains operate and their motives for committing such harmful acts.

They argue that the typical serial murderer travels around, usually state to state, searching for victims to rape, torture, and murder. Very few murders are driven by delusions and are not medically or legally sick. Serial murderers are usually psychopaths who lack internal control and has an excessive need to control and dominate others. Serial murderers know right from wrong but simply do not care. Their target usually involved innocent strangers who have certain physical features or may just be accessible. The authors study the motivation of mass murders and note difficulties police officers encounter in capturing them. (Levin & Fox,
