Prayer is important because it allows us to have an intimate conversation with the Lord, as well as a relationship. It helps build our relationship with Him and makes it only even more powerful each time. Also, by praying, we are allowing and putting all of our faith into God's hands and letting him take the wheel and be in control of our lives and guiding us into making smart choices and decisions.
There are many important elements that should be included in the prayers we make to God. The most important ones are to believe, ask for forgiveness and to be cleansed of any sins, praise and worship, always be thankful, and be specific with your prayers. In key terms, they are called: adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication. These are the most proper ways to pray to God and will make your prayers even more meaningful.
The most important and essential element of prayer is called “Adoration.” This is how you allow God to know that you praise and worship Him. This is also the part of prayer that you are always supposed to say first. Focusing your mind, your soul, and your heart on God and your showing of how much you praise, adore, and worship Him comes first and then after is when you start with the next step of your prayer which we will talk about further on. For example, you could or would start out your prayer by saying, “Oh, Holy Lord in Heaven, it is You that is my deliverer, my Almighty Father. You are my strength, You are my protector, You are my God. I trust in You fully and completely, 100 percent. I trust that my life, as well as whatever may come for me during this lifetime, is in Your hands and I trust that whatever obstacles I may be given, I know that it is You and only You that will help me get through a...

...st always pray to God with such great and deep belief that everything we ask for, He will give to us and we will receive, of course if it is reasonable. Putting every single ounce of faith and belief that we have installed in our mind, body, and soul into God is the state we should always pray in. Making your requests to God specific and making them known to Him is absolutely crucial.
Every prayer that every person has ever made has been heard by God. He hears everything and He sees everything. If our prayer, or prayers, has not been yet answered, it is important that we do not lose faith or stop believing that He will help and answer our prayers because He will. God has special timing for everything and when the timing is right, your prayer or prayers will be answered. Like they say, “God works in mysterious ways.” Trusting in Him and believing in Him is pivotal.
Coming close to God through prayer soon became very important because everyone feared his wrath. It was said:
What kinds of prayer does God respond to? The needs of what is on our heart-what we want-or what we need? In other words, does he only respond to prayers that bring us closer to Him or does he also answer materialistic prayers?
In the “Model Prayer”, Jesus taught that prayer is to be directed to the Father, showing His role in prayer: “In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven…” (Matthew 6:9). Prayer, being directed to the Father, goes through Jesus (the Word), as He is the “one Mediator between God and men” (1 Timothy 2:5). Finally, the Holy Spirit’s role in prayer (though less clear than that of the other two) is to help us in our weakness (Romans 8:26). It is in this area, more than almost any other, that many attempt to change the assigned roles of each member of the Godhead. While the Father’s role in prayer is for it to be directed to Him, many attempt to direct prayer to the other two members of Deity. Because each member of the Godhead has such a clearly defined role in prayer as revealed in Scripture, to attempt to change of modify those roles seems to be quite presumptuous, unauthorized, and dangerous. Instead, let us hold fast to the Divine pattern for prayer as laid out in the
prayer was pointless on the account of God will do what is right regardless of you asking. Kant
My father and mother would always instruct me how to pray by reciting the Lord’s Prayer. Every morning we would go in my parents’ bedroom, get on our knees and begin to pray. This devotional time was spent every morning as soon as we got out of bed. In fact, if we were asleep we were awakening to begin our daily devotion. I remember, my father would begin the prayer and each of us had to lead a portion of the ongoing prayer. My parents always instilled in me that prayer was the key to anything that I wanted to accomplish in life. However, after I prayed, I needed to believe that the work was already accomplished. Growing up in my environment, I could not understand as a child why they would wake me out of the bed in order for to come and pray. Today, I can honestly say I appreciate my parents for showing me the value of prayer. I can relate to the topic of the use of prayer because of a situation which transpired in my life approximately fifteen years ago. I have experienced the miraculous power and the value of prayer. My father was the manager and lead singer of a gospel group. The group would rehearse every Tuesday night with the singers and the musicians which consisted of approx ten members. On this particular Tuesday night after rehearsal, he complained of a slight headache. He didn’t think much more about the headache because he thought he just needed some rest after a long day at
I believe that religion has to do with spirituality and having faith. On the other hand, magic is a practice and is sometimes used for good like healing people and bad, causing someone harm. Whether or not people believe in it is there choice but to me, one wouldn’t exist with out the other. Religion and magic are both very similar in some aspects but they differ in other ways too. Some people may argue that they are more similar than different since they rely on one another so much and sometimes religion can act as the foundation of magic.
In conclusion, in order to have a proper and healthy relationship with God, one will need to occasionally pray an imprecatory pray. To pray a prayer of imprecation is not wrong, you just need to be sure that your heart is right with God. Finally one must be sure to always leave it in God’s hands and to never take revenge yourself. God wants us to take everything to him good and bad, we are his children and he will take care of us.
Religion and prayer can benefit students in educational settings by positively contributing to better grades and behavior. Personal faith and prayer are important to people in many walks of life. Some individuals believe that this need for religious stimulation includes the youth in our school systems. There are different reasons why knowledge of religion and prayer can be important to students. For example, if students do not know about diverse faiths, it can be difficult for them to have a well-rounded knowledge and understanding of other cultures. There are oppositional sides to this issue as well. Some people believe that prayer in educational settings could be used as a way to persuade students into believing certain things that they otherwise would not have believed. We live in a diverse world, so it can be hard for everyone to agree on religious convictions and what prayers, if any, to pray.
Praying as put in the Bible is a personal experience between that person and God. Not an event to be proclaimed up and down the hallway. III. Another problem there is with praying in schools is the fact that there are some students who don't believe in God. The purpose of a democracy is to have the majority decide but yet always respect the rights of the minority.

Prayer is so powerful that we don’t even realise what it can do for others and our own lives. The physical world is always effected by what’s happening in the spiritual world first so prayer is the place to go!

According to the Meriam Webster dictionary, prayer is an address (as a petition) to God or a god in word or thought. There are many different religions and everyone has a different way to pray, address, or become closer to their god, gods, or goddess. Most religions have a quiet to yourself kind of prayer and a loud kind of prayer. Hinduism is one of those religions. They have a couple of ways and places to address their god, gods, and/or goddess. They also have daily rituals of praying.
We need to look at prayer with deeper thoughts. Prayer isn’t just closing your eyes, folding your hands, and speaking. Prayer is a much more meaningful part of religion. We all need to pray, God himself demands us to pray. Prayer is defined as an act of God, a god or another object of worship, such as in devotion, confession, praise, or thanksgiving.
I must pray for the coming worship services and for those the Lord would have to be there. Often, I preach a message, then realize that someone who really needed it wasn't even present to hear. I need to pray about those who are our members who need to be there and also for the prospects we have contacted through the week.
