Answering of Prayers
Prayer is a way of communicating with God and opening your mind to
enable God to speak; it is a two-way experience. It requires a
response, which may be recognised in many ways such as impossible
things happening, unanswered mysteries and through events in life
prayer is answered. An example of this was with Bernadette when she
saw Our Lady at Lourdes in 1858 and was told to dig nearby and she
would find a stream, now it is a mystery whether it is true or not but
the visions was declared Authentic by the pope. All prayers are heard
but may not all be answered in the way we would like, praying can be
aloud, silent or thinking and words are not always necessary.
Christians use many types of prayer there are 5 of them. For example
petition, this is a prayer for one's own needs. Adoration is praising
and honouring God, and thanks giving is thanking God for everything he
has given them. Another one is confession which is where we repent our
sins by admitting the truth, saying sorry and asking to be forgiven by
God and then promise not to do it again. Finally the last one is
intercession, which is praying for someone else or for a situation
that needs God's love.
Roman Catholics may use religious pictures, crucifixes or rosary beads
to help them pray, they may light candles and use incense to help them
focus their minds on God. During prayer they may stand, kneel or bow
their heads. Orthodox pray while standing and observing icons they may
use incense or light candles to help to keep them focused. Quakers sit
in a circle surrounding the table in the middle and they sit in
silence listening to the outside or listen to a reading from the
bible. Pentecostal Christians pray by shouting out prayers or singing
them they also use music to help them concentrate and sing.
The repetition of words from a prayer in meditation helps because your
mind focuses on those words and it makes you feel like your mind his

Folklore speculation states that the hymn “Rock of Ages” was allegedly written following a sudden and severe thunderstorm, that the author, Augustus Montague Toplady witnessed while being forced to take shelter under a rocky cliff. Although this composition was completed in 1776, it remains to be a source of inspiration for a multitude of people today. Salvation is the prime ingredient to this poetically constructed song, Toplady systematically captures biblical translations that masterfully support his concepts. The message he artistically conveys is simple, without God, more importantly, without the sacrifice of Christ Jesus, the human soul cannot be salvaged. Therefore, only by the grace of God can we enter freely
At a certain point during a person’s illness, a doctor will say that there is just no more that can be done. Modern medicine, scientific technology, and healing techniques have done all they can, but tragically, the fate of the person looks grim, and death is rapidly approaching. It is then that people will hope for a miracle. Terri McFaddin, a minister, expresses the feelings of those seriously ill when saying that "We are living in desperate times where people are going to believe in things they can’t see because they can’t trust the things they can see. Miracles happen where natural resources end. One will walk into the realm of miracles when all natural resources have been exhausted." 4 When scientific reasoning and human knowledge have failed people and no cure can be found, that is when people will turn to their faith and hope for a miracle. They grip hope that is beyond reason and logic.5 Praise and worship leader Ron Kenoly says that more people are realizing that to be helped with the great problems they face, they need to go beyond the limits of reason and the abilities of man.6 Today the largest percentages of Americans in a decade profess the existence of God and miracles, according to a poll commissioned by the Pew Research Center.
prayer was pointless on the account of God will do what is right regardless of you asking. Kant
In “Intercessory Prayer’s Benefits Cannot Be Measured by Science,” Tom Ryan, a priest, says that intercessory prayer is a way for God’s healing powers. In “Intercessory Prayer Has No Medicinal Benefits,” Bruce L. Flamm argues that because intercessory prayer cannot be approved by FDA, it is not considered as a medical benefit to the people. In my opinion, a person who was a cancer will not be cured just because of a intercessory prayer. The person will need some medical’s cares to be cured; however, I think that a prayer will help the person too. It is possible to conciliate Science and Religion; while the disease will be cured by medicinal treatment, the prayer will console the person in all the anguish she may have due to their physical
E.M. Bounds wrote a wonderful book devoted to prayer entitled Power Through Prayer. This book encourages the preacher to become a true prayer warrior. E.M. Bounds has written many books on prayer, encouraging Christians to devote their life to prayer. Since the writer is coming from a preacher background himself, one can clearly see the passion he has for prayer in his life. Fellow preachers will hopefully be encouraged by this and want to devote their life to prayer, so that they will better their preaching. Bounds exemplifies through his work that preaching has no power without prayer. He also sets forth the idea that prayer is the life-giving force behind our work for God. In reading this book, it inspires one to pray more and be able to be more effective in their ministry.
Being a firm believer in God, one must never question their faith. Things may happen
The cornerstone of any relationship with someone is the ideal of grace and mercy. When grace is absent, dealing with people becomes difficult we develop issues with trust. Grace involves hoping that God is listening and will answer all prayers in ways according to His will. Digging into the cross of hope and prayer, this paper discusses the theological definition, biblical foundation, and practical application in order to identify how the two connect. These principles have helped me learn what it means to be a Christian.

No matter what religious beliefs or lack there of one holds, history is separated by the birth and events that surround one man; and that man is Jesus of Nazareth. If there is one controversial event that surrounds this historical figure, it is his resurrection that is argued the most. In most scholarly circles, it is accepted that Jesus of Nazareth was born around the first century, while living gathered a religious following, and was crucified by the Romans. It is his resurrection, though that separates secular and believing biblical experts. This paper will discuss the historical validity of the resurrection of Jesus by looking at biblical validity, the evidence surrounding the resurrection, and expert opinions from both sides as whether or not in today’s age it is reasonable to be believed in.

...ew questions and situations occur that cannot ever be foreseen except from the omnipotent God and these circumstances will need to be answered for those of faith. The challenge is for the language of that communication to remain consistent, even in the light of advancement and clarity, so that future generations do not lose the true word of God.
