4. What might you say to a Jehovah’s witness when they knock on your door?.
Many Christians avoid talking to Jehovah’s Witnesses for the fear of inferiority of scripture knowledge or fear of losing the debate with them. Some people just hide from them and do not answer when they knock their door. Other people bravely tell them that they are already Christian, and another people feels sorry for their soul and tries to convey Trinitarian doctrine and the true gospel to them. However we are theology students who must defend our faith. And in order to defeat our enemy we must know our enemy.
Jehovah’s Witness runs in a well structured organization and Jehovah’s Witness demands your royalty. If you do not belong to the organization, no matter how much bible study you undertake, you cannot understand the bible. To understand the bible properly you must take instructions from the organization.
The distinctiveness of study material of Jehovah’s Witness are by reading the study materials and repeatation of questions and answers you get to memorize and think that only Jehovahs’ Witness is the recognized church by God and they are taught any other thought should not be listen to as they are under control of devils thought and basically the thinking that only information given by organization is the truth in their mind. Their original deceision making and free will is taken away. Their every aspect is looked at the paradigm given by organization. If your thinking and organizations thinking is different you are required to abandon your thought. The Jehovah’s Witness doctrine is the based on their fact that Jesus is not God. So by disqualifying this main point, they will lose theological ground in their term. We will show you one small vi...

...ideo teaches, we must plant seeds of truth in their mind, so they will grow in truth to have courage to defend themselves. Thank you for listening our short presentation. And We will finish off with short prayer.
Father God, Thank you for this opportunity to present our concern over the Jehovahs Witnesses. As you are the ruler and sustainer of the World, we know that your providence will prevail over the poor souls of Jehovah’s Winesses and any other ideology which stands against You. Father, let us do our part in serving you and glorifying your name. Give us the wisdom and means to bring back the souls fallen to satan’s trap. Strengthen all the disciples of your Son Jesus in faith to preach the good news to the world and let the Holy Ghost within us emerge with Your Power and Authority to serve your will. We pray this in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.
...ave a unity under their great love for God. They persevere, and they press toward the kingdom of God through their writings and teachings.
Some bible principles deal with family life, work habits, and relationships with others. They apply to all people and its counsel is always beneficial. Many who say that the bible is unhelpful and is a waste of time haven't read it or tried to live by its standards, so they do not fully know this. It is impossible to fully understand what it feels like to live by bible standards unless you've tried it yourself. It is impossible to fully understand what it feels like to be a Jehovah's Witness unless you've embarked on the lifestyle.
I have attended a Christian church my whole life. While I have attended various denominations, I have always considered myself to be non-denominational, not favoring one over the other. The only other churches I have ever attended were Catholic; I have had other family members practice this faith and so have always been a guest with them if I have gone and had the services feel fairly familiar. When we were given the project to go and attend a different religion’s church I wasn’t sure what to expect. I decided to attend a Jewish church since Judaism and Christianity believe some of the same fundamentals but are still separated, I thought it would be a good way to learn more about the church as well as be able to relate better to anyone I know who practices Judaism. Also this taught me what it feels like for someone who does not have any experience in church.
...n me. Know one approached me and asked me if I needed a bible, or even attempted to assist me with my awkwardness. I know all of these things would have happened at my church or any Baptist church for that matter. Essentially, the decision is up to the practitioner and the experience has definitely made me appreciate being a Baptist.
Through this short presentation, we will try to identify the true nature of Jehovah’s Witnesses. And, as there is limitation on time we will not go too deep in details but we will try to learn them better so that we may be ready to face them next time.
The church does not need to be taught doctrines that have been modified to meet their own personal needs.

In this letter, the author expresses the importance of the recipient to continue testifying his love for Christ and the Church by his actions (3John1:5-8). The author asks the recipient to witness his love to travelers who are coming through his town by helping “them in a way worthy of God to continue their journey” (3John 1:6). John’s third letter highlights the importance of witness by showing those who “imitate good” (3John 1:11) are disciples, because “whoever does what is good is of God” (3John 1:11). The eternal life of Christ is not a fact that the disciple must only announce but also live their lives in a manner which reflects Christ to all they encounter. John calls all disciples to witness the eternal life by “walking in the truth just as we were commanded by the Father” (2John 1:4). The disciple does not simply tell people of eternal life, but explains the source of this divine life; the disciple is called to witness to Jesus Christ as the source and summit of
Since their founding in 1872 by Charles Taze Russell, the religious principles of the Jehovah’s Witnesses have been diametrically in conflict with fundamental positions held by both the Protestant and Catholic churches. While they believe in the God of the Judeo-Christian Bible, they have a different translation – the New World Translation –, which is viewed by many traditional Bible scholars as a “frightful mistranslation”.
This research paper will cover the religious group the Jehovah’s Witnesses. I will discuss the group’s origins from their original start to their current history. I will also touch on a few of the Jehovah’s Witnesses beliefs as well as some of their most prevalent practices of yesterday and today. By the end of this paper you will have a better understanding of this modern, in terms of length, religion.
A friend of mine had conducted a similar field experience activity and introduced me to Gary and Dina Roy, attenders of the Kingdom Hall in Cumming. Upon arriving I had no idea what to expect. I met a few Jehovah’s Witnesses in middle school but never spent enough time with them to make conclusions about their religion and their culture. All that I really knew was that they were not able to celebrate school holidays, but I never knew why. My father told me they didn’t believe in Jesus and that they were a cult. I had a sense that my father was incorrect about their faith so I went into my field experience with an open mind hopeful that I would become more informed on a sect of my own religion, Christianity. My friend told me that keeping an open mind was key and that I was soon to embark on a journey full of new perspectives.
The method of evangelism that I used for my witness report was the “Four Spiritual Laws.” I chose this method because it is simple straight to the point, and has facts that I believe cannot be disputed. It is also quick and simple to explain. How I started the conversation was simple actually, for a while one of my family members has been confused about if there is a god or not and the last time I came home we spoke about what I have learned down at Liberty. Thus I thought it would be a good idea to bring up what I learned during these past few weeks from this class. of course what I have learned from this class are different ways to evangelize and that is how the conversation started.
Throughout the experiences obtained by inmates, correctional officers, and the prions administration as result of the prison itself, is overall negative. This due to the stressful, unpredictable, and volatile nature of the inmates incarcerated. Despite all of the negatives associated with prison, this miniature society does also benefit the parties involved. The system helps reform inmates, keeps the officers occupied with duties, and ensures that the administration stay modern on their policies and procedures.
"…and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8 This commandment, given by Christ to his apostles, was one of action. First they were to go into their homes, or Jerusalem, then to their community, or Samaria, and then finally to the ends of the earth. The Christian church of today, however has lost sight of that directive. For too many years now we have sent thousands of missionaries abroad while ignoring the mission field next door. While many may witness in our homes few move out into the community, especially when that community is in an urban area. Joshua 8:7 says "…take the city. The LORD your God will give it into your hand." Now more than ever this call to "take the city" must followed by believers. The current population of the world is 5,983,000,000 (World POPClock, 1:57 p.m., April 28, 1999). Of those estimated 6 billion people, two thirds of them will be living in cities by the year 2000 (Giradet 1). By ignoring the call to evangelize the cities for Christ, upwards of 4 billion people my be lost.
Before beginning my first semester here at Vanguard I often found myself questioning why I believe what I believe. I had a hard time understanding the bible and an even harder time finding answers to my questions. It was difficult for me to find the courage to ask questions because I didn’t want to come off as someone who didn’t know everything about the bible. Once I started my freshman year I began understanding that I am not alone, every one has questions or things that they don’t quite understand. Encountering The New Testament broke down parts of the bible and made it much easier for me to understand.
