Intercultural Ethic Issues:
"Intercultural Ethics" is with no doubt a very important issue that it's importance is growing rapidly considering today's societies around the world. Where companies operate in different countries, stakeholders live even in different societies and let’s not forget people's immigration in search of new job or experience a new life. In contrast with it's highlighted role in today's world, it is still considered as a minority project from a very few scholars. Sadly, it is not even accepted topic in the worldly academic area. Having said that, Intercultural Ethics is undeniably known as one of the main keys for a democratic citizenship and social involvement in multicultural societies. If we really want to get a better understanding of it, several scientists and thinkers should work together in an international project but it is also helpful if we take a look at the basic meaning of ethic. Probably it is better if we first get familiar with it's concept through Kont's theory.
Basically he did not believe in anything as a good thing. He just used the term good to describe the good will and by that he meant the resolve to act purely according to one's duty. He believed in God and other life cause he said otherwise morality does not make any sense. He said since we can act morally, so we must be free but it was just his presumption and he could not prove that we are free. He brought the term Synthetic a priori and by that he meant that we do not follow predetermined laws but we must follow some laws. According to him these laws are not analytical but they cannot be determined through experience. As it is obvious the differences in norms due to different culture, religion, region and so on, could turn very simple things into a problem and these differences become much more obvious when there is a multicultural work place or in general community. As I mentioned in the beginning of this essay, Ethics can guide us to make the right choice and decide correctly in every given situation. Not to mention that this becomes even more important in Healthcare system settings and among the healthcare providers cause they are responsible for giving the best health care possible to the patients. For such an important duty not only they need to respect the other people’s rights as humans despite their differences, but also they need to communicate well with their coworkers and ignore each other differences and overcome to the language barrier.
