To present the best survival in a zombie apocalypse, driving to a rural area would help you stay alive. If a zombie apocalypse strikes Ashland during school, a student should find a friend and run outside. Running to the cafeteria and finding any set of car keys would be the next step for survival. And finally, drive to a rural area such as birney.
If a zombie apocalypse were to happen, a student should find someone to stay with them at all times. If they were to get hurt and were by themselves, no one would help them due to the fact that they’re alone and defenseless. That's the importance about having someone with them at all times. Having someone present with another person presents better use for protection.
After a student finds another
person to stay with them, the next thing that they should do is to run outside onto the quad area. They’re aware of their surroundings and know when and where a zombie is running or attacking. If a zombie were to notice the students, they should run to the cafeteria as fast as they could. That way they can find a set of car keys. After finding a set of keys, the student would grab any weapons or utensils that could be used as self defense when going outside. Knifes, frying pans, and pots are examples of weapons to use. Once armed and prepared, the student should then go to the parking lot and find which car belongs to their set of keys. Driving out into the country, such as back of Ashland and Birney, could possibly lead to help from others. The students should be able to find help from there. There are many different ways to survive. This strategy plan may possibly keep you alive for a period of time.

“Because the living dead freeze solid” (122), when word starting to get out that there were zombies, people’s first instinct was to go north. Family after family packed their belongings and ventured to campsites throughout northern Canada or wherever they felt was cold enough to escape the plague. Many people were still trying to hold on to their materialistic ways and brought “hair dryers, GameCubes, [and] laptops by the dozen” (123) with them to the campsites. These families realized very quickly that these items were not beneficial for their survival. Those that did survive the cold Canadian winters were not those who brought the most belongings, but those who had the will power to survive. As days got colder, people were forced to steal from each other, kill each other, and eventually eat each other. The only way to succeed during this brutal time was to go into this ultimate survival mode. “Eventually the sun did come out, the weather began to warm, the snow finally began to melt” and those that were left were the ones that were had the determination to survive (129).
Texas Chainsaw Massacre was the first movie to use Ed Gein’s man-eating behavior. “The events of that day were to lead to the discovery of one of the most bizarre crimes in the annals of American history, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre” (CITE). The movie is about five friends. The main characters, Sally and Franklin, want to visit their grandfather’s graveyard because there were reports about grave robbing on the news. After seeing the tombstone, the five friends decided to go visit grandpa’s house as well. On their way, they met a hitchhiker and they offer him a ride. They threw him out after he slashed the arm of Franklin in the car, which creep them all out. Afterwards, the group realizes that they need gas. So they stop to refuel, but the man at
In the article, “A Zombie Manifesto: The Nonhuman Condition in the Era of Advanced Capitalism” by Sarah Juliet Lauro and Karen Embry, the authors’ evaluate the idea of the zombie and its connection to capitalism and post-humanism. According to the authors, the zombie represents much more than just a fear, it represents a loss of oneself to many different things, primarily to a capitalist society. The authors have come to the conclusion that humans have a fear of what they cannot control, and that is why the zombie is so big in entertainment. We see zombies everywhere, in movies, books, tv shows, fundraisers, marathons, and so much more. They have been around for decades, but recently they have become very popular. The authors believe this is
The United States of America has more serial killers living in and on it's territory, than any other place in the world. Almost eighty-five percent of serial killers are housed in America. While most serial killers are men, women account for eight percent of the eighty-five in our country. Serial killers are very sick, distraught human beings when compared to others; the reasoning behind this tends to lean towards the mental stability and psychological makeup of the serial killer. Now there are plenty of serial killers to be talked about, but The Long Island Killer is a perfect example of a horrible, sick person.

Avery Wells Professor Wilkenfeld English 102 02/08/14 “All Men and Women Are Created Equal” On July 4, 1776 it was said that all men are created equal. What the Declaration of Independence failed to mention was women. This seemed to be a common theme throughout the history of America and is still a problem to this day. Men are constantly being held up on a pedestal, while women are forced to assume the position of looking up to them. Zombieland (2009) tends to take these “old school” ways and sheds a new light on the fact that women too can be equal, if not better than some men.

Hurricane Katrina occurred on August 29, 2005. Hurricane Katrina was one of the worst natural disasters recorded in the United States. Katrina hit the Gulf Coast of Mississippi and New Orleans. No one was prepared for the devastations caused by Hurricane Katrina. Most of the damages was caused after the levees breeched. After the levees breeched the water started to rise over the roof tops of the homes and buildings in New Orleans, Gulf Coast, and surrounding areas. Thousands of lives were lost, and millions lost their proprieties. Many people did not have flood insurance and had to depend on the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and charitable groups such as the Red Cross and Salvation Army for financial assistance.
Now a high-school senior, I still remember my freshman year with a shudder; it was the year my friends and I joked about as the "Year of the Zombie." It wasn't that I had contracted a rare medical disorder that transformed me into one of the walking dead. I had done what many diligent students do: sacrifice most of my sleep time for the sake of academic success.
This week seemed busier than usual with the additional children being around the center for the spring break. Most of the spring breakers were children that attend public school. I was asked to assist with the spring breakers at one point throughout the week. They were a very entertaining and energetic group, so it was a fun experience interacting with them. As for my class, we had a lot of fun preparing for the Easter weekend. We sang songs, hop around like a bunny, read some Easter books and we even had a surprise visit from our special guest for the week, an actual rabbit.

Fear can also cause paranoia, for example when somebody would get attacked by a mistrained pitbull some cities would outlaw pitbulls , and put them down. Another thing that it tends to make people have more prejudice.
