This week seemed busier than usual with the additional children being around the center for the spring break. Most of the spring breakers were children that attend public school. I was asked to assist with the spring breakers at one point throughout the week. They were a very entertaining and energetic group, so it was a fun experience interacting with them. As for my class, we had a lot of fun preparing for the Easter weekend. We sang songs, hop around like a bunny, read some Easter books and we even had a surprise visit from our special guest for the week, an actual rabbit. One of the parents from the other class decided to donate their rabbit as a classroom pet as they were no longer able to care for it. What a coincidence that this
Another thing is that the nursery had replaced the kids parents and think that there parents were bad so they decided they had to get rid of their parents for the nursery. How they did this was that they put something there father had and something the mother had, the father had the wallet and the mother had the scarf. The
As he looked at the picture, his eyes welled up with tears. It was a picture of him with his little sister, whom he would never play with again. Being only nine years old, he had not been through the deaths of any family members, except for his grandma he never even met, who passed away only months after he was born. But this tragedy turned him into an emotional wreck, as he would never be with his four year old sister again. It all happened in a heartbeat, he woke up on the first day of Spring Break and found his little sister lying silent in her bed, not breathing. And now, two days later, he finds himself at her funeral. The picture that stood out was of him and his sister showing off the vegetables they had picked in their garden
Create a “Classroom Book Bag” using a “paper made book” of the Ugly Duckling. I will provide parent instructions letting them know that we worked on this story during class. I will instruct parents to ask their child what the story was about to see if their child can recall what had happened in the story. If they cannot tell their parents what had happened, have the parents read the story to their child and ask their child to retell the story.
The students really enjoyed this activity because they were able to hear discussion about dialect and slang words that they currently use. Teaching this activity had to be the most rewarding because I saw the look of confusion change to understanding on the faces of so many students. One student said to me after class, "I always wondered why my grandmother speaks so different, and uses words that I never heard of. Tonight I will go home and ask her about it." That made me feel like I helped students think about an issue that they may have never thought of, and it was great! I must admit that I was a little skeptical of the way this lesson would turn out because the first day I had some difficulty. But after seeing my students engaged and excited about a lesson that I created, I knew that I would one day be one of the "great" teachers that I idolize.
This week I was better prepared then last week. I was able to post all of my discussions and respond by the due dates posted. Can’t believe that we are halfway through the term already. I’m looking forward to next week. I have even gotten started on paper 2 early. Have a Happy Easter!
It was nice hearing from both of you. We really enjoyed your holiday newsletter and the article written about you, Adam. Mazel Tov! You both are truly amazing and full of life, energy and passion!
Spring Break is a time where you get to relax and spend time off from your teachers and classmates. The two things I liked was getting to spend time with my team and getting eighth place at a state meet.
I found the week as a whole a fun, new experience. It was great to meet new people that I may never would have met before joining this class. I am very gracious to have chosen to be a part of this great new experience. This first week allowed me to learn many new things that I did not know before about our friends. The week also showed me many new ways to play games and workout with the integration of dance. I learned how to do some yoga techniques, new stretches, and some new muscle strengthening exercises. The week also helped to improve my leadership skills and collaboration skills. The first week gave me a great first impression and through that impression, I can tell the rest of the semester will be just as great as the first week.
When everyone in town found out about the noise of the puppies, they were very surprised. People started to visit the puppies, and saw that their eyes were open, they could run and jump, and they made lots of noise! They were yellow, and had white spots on their paws, just like Hattie. Suddenly, everyone in town wanted one of Hattie's puppies!
Some believe the 90s was the last great decade of all time, and claim the music, movies, dance and fashion were the best of any era. The rise of multiculturalism and new media well describes the decade’s new ways, which continued into the 2000s. Grunge, rave culture and hip hop had spread widely among the young people of the era. With new technology such as cable television and internet, new trends in entertainment, music, and fashion widely spread.
My great grandparents, my great aunt and uncle, and another great uncle all attended. I work up early that morning to find my easter basket, because my grandma still thought I was a kid and made me a easter basket every year. After looking for my Easter Basket I looked for Max because I had not yet seen him that morning. I found him lying on his worn out dirty dog bed in my grandparents room. It was unusual for Max to be missing out on all the people; he loved being around everyone to steal food and get pet. Max looked tired so I let him sleep and went to join everyone for breakfast. It was a big thing in my family to have big breakfast on the weekends. Everyone got up and watched HGTV and we sang the making the bacon
...e greatest prank in our school’s history. And she stopped Mrs. DeCostia from stealing from Mrs. Redrik” Then he took my hand and led me down the hall, past all of my friends, to the stairs. I stopped. “What was that for?” “I was just giving credit where credit was due.” He slipped his hand into his pocket and pulled out a rather large ring. “You knew the whole time?!?” “Yeah when we and Matt moved the desk it fell out and I picked it up, I was waiting to give it back until DeCostia got busted.” “Oh my god…” “Anyway, what are we doing tonight? Movies, ice-cream, maybe some pizza?” “We’re hanging out tonight?” “Yeah I have to hang out with my girlfriend to celebrate the undermining of our psycho home wrecking teacher.” “Your girlfriend?” “Yeah...” He said into my hair as he put his hands around my waist and pulled me closer to him “Who else would I hang with tonight?”
The teachers of the school were very supportive, I loved them all. Being at school is very good in terms of dealing with different people. We were exposed very early to this world; where there are different attitudes and beliefs. I think having teachers with totally different minds has a role in our social intelligence development. I learned how to deal with people even if their beliefs, thoughts and styles do not meet mine.
I thought that the teachers did a nice job with their classroom set up. I felt like I could have kept myself busy all day just by looking at the walls and seeing the pictures of presidents and famous historic quotes by famous people of our nations past. One thing I really enjoyed was the time the teachers allotted me at the end of each class to reflect to the class. Not only throughout my past middle school, and high school experiences but also, and most importantly, my current college experiences, the temptations that I have had to endure have definitely been rewarding.
Class participation was great everyone joined in on the discussion. People in the class felt comfortable talking out loud and putting there two sense in.
