“YouTube is used by more adults than any other cable network” (youtube.com/2012). Therefore one person would not know that at least every person on earth at least views 140 videos in their life entire time; millions of subscriptions happen per day and YouTube partners make 6 digits a year (bullas 2012). From this one would believe that “the YouTube subscription pilot program has defiantly the potential to offer consumers a variety of channels…” (Cherdar, 2013). Therefore meaning that YouTube is becoming a TV. Channel would benefit the audience watching in many ways such as entertainment, provide opportunities for one to get discovered and would have a huge benefit of one having opportunities to make money.
In today’s world, entertainment plays a huge part in our lives. Most importantly entertainment t should be playing a part for everyone, that entertainment that plays a part in everyone’s lives is YouTube. The YouTube subscriptions program has a variety of channels and categories: 20% music, 13% comedy, 7% sports and 6% education (www.prashantgupta.html /Gupta Prashant/ 2012). These channels being combined together create the ultimate channel program that entertains all. Many people believe that when adults and children are open to have this opportunity, instead of socializing and communicating with family and friends they are watching TV. But on the contrary, YouTube is still proper. People can communicate and comment on shows and channels. YouTube is in 61 countries and in 61 languages (www.YouTube .com/press.html, 2013) from this commenting, chatting and meeting new people is available. ... alternates, which means that every hour the category is different almost like a T.V. for more than one hour continually unless they like to watch something from every category, which usually does not occur, therefore making the YouTube Subscriptions program flawless.
It has been proven that YouTube becoming a T.V channel would benefit the audience in many ways such as entertainment, provide opportunities for one to get discovered and have a huge benefit of one having to make money. Even though some may debate that there may be info commercials and some people will become obesity this is not at all true and that instead of this happening people will be receiving many benefits from this program. Overall we should consider more beneficial options for the present/future and the YouTube subscriptions program is the correct direction towards the ultimate entertainment.
Social media is enormously significant for Hulu as the service is located on the internet. Large numbers of GCC residents are active online, which is a huge advantage to internet advertising for Hulu. This makes potential consumers a click away from exploring our product and its features. Internet users have come to tolerate and even expect banner ads when they are online. The chart below shows how digital advertising revenues have grown tremendously in MENA, this goes to show how attractive the digital sphere currently is in the region, and how much the same scene have evolved in the past years.

TiVo's problem rests in its inability to convince consumers to change their television consumption habits. Improper targeting and positioning have led to an ineffective product, price-point and promotion strategy that has stranded TiVo in the chasm between the early market and the early majority.
...rom broadcast media also heralds an opportunity. In a world of self-service digital, where consumers compare everything according to value, online video is the ultimate table stakes. For mere pennies a day, consumers can get the content they want (that’s key) when they want it on whatever device they are using. They can watch their shows on their time from the mobile phone or a tablet or a computer or a smartTV. And that is the ultimate value for whatever it costs. Perhaps broadcast media can figure it all out in time. Perhaps they can stave off Judgment Day by evolving their business models to provide the kind of value consumers want. Then they become just another online video provider competing for the same eyeballs as everyone else. Changing their business model (away from subscriptions) would require Herculean efforts.
Although YouTube is a profiting site, it must consider the welfare of the community. This paper discussed the effects of wide coverage of YouTube and the accessibility of the internet. As argued before, YouTube being a top entertainment site needs to implement stricter rules about censorship. YouTube should censor videos being uploaded in their site to obstruct cyberbullying, to diminish portrayal of harmful or dangerous activities and to abolish promotion of nudity and sexually suggestive
Before the persuasion of the year 2007 begins, the background of Hulu is greatly needed. Hulu was announced in 2007 along with other infamous businesses such as Myspace, AOL, and even Hotmail. The purpose of Hulu was to allow users to enjoy their favorite TV shows or movies without having to leave the couch. Although not making the initial mark in 2007, it is now the foundation, along with Netflix, for other venues such as Crackle, Vudu, Amazon Prime, and so many more. Unlike Netflix, In March of 2007 NBC universal shared their joint project with News Corruption. Around this same time the famous website YouTube was on the rise and didn’t like the sound of their up and coming rivalry , Hulu. Many people who heard about the jump start of
Streaming video content over the internet continues to grow in popularity with consumers for a variety of reasons, including the widespread availability of high speed internet, attractive video content, easy to use video streaming devices and the rising cost of cable television service. Some consumers use streaming video to enhance or supplement the typical offerings available from their local cable provider. Others take a more extreme approach and use streaming video as a means to eliminate the need for a cable television subscription altogether. Presently consumers cancelling their cable TV subscriptions are still considered a minority of all subscribers; nevertheless their steadily increasing numbers have earned the moniker of “cord cutters.” Those looking to ditch cable TV can also find a growing number of online resources that will ease their transition to cheaper online television viewing.

In 2006, although customers watched traditional television, Internet video emerged as one of the hottest trends in technology. At that time, IDC, a research firm, performed a survey and found out that 33 percent of users watched Internet video. Also they found out that while many people watched full shows online, the most popular shows were user-generated movies and short clips. In addition, those users didn’t have to pay for the service and were not interested in paying either. User-generated video consisted of amateur and home made videos. Professional video producers aware of that got interested in that new media for them and decided to produce products for exclusive online broadcasting. The forecast of the Internet industry forecasted that
Even though many companies usually work hard to implement effective search engine optimization (SEO) strategies, they usually consider video marketing and video SEO as a secondary venture. As a result, most businesses either ignore or give very little marketing resources to the internet’s second biggest search engine, YouTube. With the upsurge in video consumption across all devices, however, it is important and prudent that all companies make video content and marketing an integral
...ducational television programs finally came about. These shows succeeded in intellectually educating children while also entertaining them. They have positive affects on children of all races and social status. Those who viewed it gained more knowledge over those who did not. They offered educational and beneficial programming that helps in improving a child’s vocabulary and by encouraging their reading. These programs also taught children moral values. Because public television teaches children the basic knowledge and the valuable facts of life, parents should encourage their children to watch more public television.
According to Paediatrics & Children’s Health, T.V can teach kids many different things, such as “watching Sesame Street is an example of how toddlers can learn valuable lessons about racial harmony, cooperation, kindness, simple arithmetic, and the alphabet through an educational television format.”(2003) T.V shows can teach very good lessons to children about many important things, that these kids can use in their adult life. Another positive effect of television for kids is that it sort of opens their horizons to different things and people. For example, according to The Raising Children Network, teens and children can benefit from media exposure by developing cultural and political awareness. Television, films, magazines, and social media sites expose teens and children, who might be otherwise be limited to interactions with people from their own cultural and ethnic backgrounds, to an array of different people”. (Mokeyane) Children can really benefit from watching T.V, they can learn many educational things from shows like Sesame Street, Barney, or Caillou. Also, older children can learn about other cultures and political things that might not be talked about at home. Television really helps kids learn more important personal and educational lessons, that the generations, before, never had. Children, nowadays, have a great advantage in learning much more
“How long you figure before we save up and get the fourth wall torn out and the fourth wall-TV installed?" If I think of the future of media I remember this quotation from Ray Bradbury’s “Fahrenheit 451”. Will television remain an important part of mass media or will the Internet kill it? What role are mobile devices going to play and what about movies in 2020?
It has been decided to provide with big incentives to news publishers to entice them to upload the service directly. New publishers have full control over youtube videos. Publishers also have control over ads that are loaded, sales right and revenue share.
Taken as a whole television has its good and bad points. For those who look to television for world events or educational programs, it is an excellent source. For those who look to television to keep them constantly entertained, there is a world of problems in store, including addiction and the blurring of the lines of reality, and the answer is not on prime time.
