“Your desire to change must be greater than your desire to stay the same.” A guy name Colin Wilson wrote a quote that has the same idea as this one. His quote goes along the lines like this, “The average man is a conformist, accepting miseries and disasters with the stoicism of a cow standing in the rain.” A conformist is a person who accepts behavior and does not doing anything about it.Stoicism is the endurance of pain or hardship without a display of feelings and without complaint. Basically the common man or woman does not say much when that person is in pain and they just stand there and take it even though it is repeatedly happening. They are scared to go out fo their way and fall completely on their face and embarrass themselves. All of the greats nowadays failed times and times again to get to where they are at. They probably failed more times than they succeed. They learned from their mistakes to make them better. They saw what they did wrong the first time and the second time it comes around they know what to do so it doesn 't happen again. This is completely true because I experienced this first handed and see it with all of the great athletes today. They have this desire to be great and they are willing to do whatever they can do to achieve their goal. When I first moved to the big city I failed a lot of times but I learned from it. It made me a better person and a better athlete. I loved every bit of it too because people come to me and ask for help and I can share the experiences that i had with them, so they could be the person they are meant to be. The message is that don’t be afraid to fall on your face because if you take it to carefully then you will never live or never know what could have been. When people are on their deathbeds they don 't regret the things that they did but it is the things that they didn 't do. They lived all of their life in a safe way they they never truly lived. “Everybody dies but only a few people live.” This quote explains this message
