Hello everyone! Hi guys, how are you? What’s up everybody?! However it may be, every YouTube video needs an introduction. It takes only a few seconds to grab someone’s attention and after that it is all up the viewers to continue watching until the end. Before the video even starts you have to attract people to the video through catchy titles and thumbnail pictures. The science behind YouTube is complicated; with that being written, it is very challenging to become successful on the Web site. Even though increasing numbers of people are able to make a living off of YouTube today, it has not always been this way and people still believe that it should not be this way.
One may automatically think about that funny cat video they saw once or that kid falling into the pool after his brother pushed him when YouTube comes to mind. People each day are able to click “Upload” on a video they have spent hours shooting and editing and can eventually make a profit from it once they have gained a following. Along with becoming profitable from this Web site, there is also controversy to follow. Americans tend to believe that it is some silly Web site where you can watch those childish videos.
What happens when you are actually successful on your journey to becoming a professional YouTuber? Does everything all of a sudden become a lot easier and all you have to worry about is the 12-year-old kids making fun of you for doing something in your video? It may appear to some people that it gets easier when you make it big, but in actuality, it may become harder. In an article posted on The New York Times about YouTube sensation Olga Kay, Leslie Kaufman states in an interview with Olga: “In total, she posts at least 20 videos a week to her ...

... ShayCarl, Joey Graceffa, another Los Angeles Youtuber, had some issues with a scary viewer. A couple years ago, Joey was alone at his apartment in LA when he heard a knock on the door. A private investigator had told him that a viewer of his hired a private investigator to find out where Joey lives, hunt him down, and give a letter to him. Joey then later had to file a restraining order against the viewer. You never really hear about these stories of crazy “fans.” When becoming a successful YouTuber, you have to be ready to deal with the craziness of these extreme supporters. It is a tremendously off-putting feeling knowing that this could happen to you. Is it really worth it all? Even after you think about all these different aspects, there is so much great that can come from this Web site that it can out weigh the negatives for as long as this Web site continues.
This video was about making a clearer and more interesting introduction. It was effective as the woman talked about the different levels of an introduction and how it should be presented. The diagrams and examples were very useful.
Late May 2011, a YouTube channel by the name of ksawomen2drive posted an eight minute video. The first day it was up it became the most viewed clip in Saudi Arabia, and became so popular it started trending worldwide. Any non-Arabic viewer might have been slightly baffled by its popularity. To them it would merely be a clip of a woman in a hijab driving while talking to her passenger, and a poorly filmed clip at that. The hundreds of thousands of Arabic viewers however, saw something all together quite different. They were witnessing a crime take place, an act of dissent. The video gained over 600 000 the few days it was up, but was taken down following the arrest of the driver shown in the clip. Manal al-Sharif was that driver.
The world of Minecraft is steadily growing. Especially since Microsoft has finally partnered with a company that would give them access to the Chinese market. That means there are a lot of Minecraft enthusiasts out there to gain attention from. There are plenty of YouTube videos with some sort of Minecraft theme. And the war for YouTube subscribers and views is heating up on the platform. If you were a gamer, why not fuel your habit with a little YouTube click skrilla. Pink Sheep is one of the original gangsters of the YouTube hustle. But there are new homies on the block looking to take his corner.
Those videos can even be shared on other forms of social media like Facebook and Twitter. According to The Telegraph’s article How YouTube changed the world, they state that “The online video behemoth has become the world’s third most-visited website, after Google and Facebook” (How YouTube changed the world). This website has thousands of videos that anyone with access to the it and internet can view. In the same article, they explain that Youtube has been the birthplace of some celebrities in the music, fashion, and video game scenes. (How YouTube changed the world). Because of how easy it is for a person to watch these videos and share them from all across the world, American culture, and other cultures can be spread to each other. It is almost like the United States in a website, where a wide variety of people share their different beliefs, and can influence, or inform others of what they have to show, or
Besides YouTube, Shaw uses her Instagram, Twitter, public Facebook account, and personal website to engage viewers and provide the community different forms of interaction. Viewers communicate by doing things such as commenting, sharing, or even just liking the post. Viewer’s may express satisfaction with the video, such as Jenna Week’s comment on a recent video that says “I love your videos! Please do more yoga videos like this.” Viewers may also choose to give negative feedback, such as when Jackie Ross expresses her concern in the comments of another video stating that it is “unrealistic to cut out sweets completely.” By allowing viewers to comment and give feedback, Shaw is creating a medium of interaction and support for the
For my project, I chose to reconstruct my rhetorical analysis essay in the form of a commercial or public service announcement posted to YouTube. My rhetorical analysis essay analyzed David Foster Wallace’s “Consider the Lobster” which concerned the morality of cooking and utilizing lobsters for food. Because of this, I decided to turn my analysis into a video advocating for an end to the slaughter and consumption of lobsters. Video is a common form of media for this type of advocacy, since it is easily accessible to people and doesn’t require the audience to put much effort into consuming the information. I chose to upload this video to YouTube since it is one of the most common places on the internet to share videos and has a large user base. Posting the video
Using leaders of YouTube with a large subscriber base and grouping them together for a joint effort media campaign, is proving itself very innovative. An excellent example is Hannah Hart, DailyGrace and Mamrie Hart collaborating for ‘movie night” where they get together and watch a movie on Netflix and discuss, they ask you to get a membership with Netflix (using offering a coupon code to get a free month upon subscribing to their youtube channel) and everyone watches together in real time, their request reaches around 670,000 views. This also leads to a discussion on Facebook and Twitter about what they just did. It’s like having a personal movie theatre with all of your online friends.
Provided information above, question this, when’s the last time individual’s heard of a nobody making it big. To be honest, it’s been years, everyone who’s a "nobody" had someone famous or someone with a high up ranking helped out. Most people typically are unlikely to hear YouTube stars making platinum albums besides Justin Bieber. The final point being made is simply everybody desires more. Once the individual achieves becoming what once craving to be,sadly, won't be enough for them. Therefore, leaving them meaningless, never being content with all of amazing accomplishments in their

Forms of entertainment like the Internet, television and even video games seem harmless to people, but they are really not. When the Internet was first introduced, people never thought it would be as big as it is today. The Internet is an easy to use technology that can do just about anything. But what people don’t understand is that the Internet is not all good. Much of the information posted on sites on the Internet is merely opinions, not factual information. When people look at this information, it looks and seems like trustful information, but most of the time, it is not.
