It was his elder brother who was supposed to be the next leader, his previous actions and many negative opinions from acquaintances about his qualities and aspects denied that, however. On the other hand, Kim Jong-Un was praised and given many titles very early on, he was hailed for being very identical to the previous leader. Before even becoming leader, he was listed as a candidate for the Supreme People’s Assembly in 2009, and later that year he was given a post on the National Defense Commission. Furthermore, he was also given the high rank of a four star general. He was unofficially declared the supreme leader after his father’s death as he was assumed in office in December 17, 2011. It wasn’t until April of the following year that his position was validated after acquiring various titles including one of the country’s highest bureaucratic authority. His time as leader has led to the rapid advancements of the North Korean military power as well as nuclear bombs. He recently has been in the talks of making peace with South Korea and agreed to talk over a peace treaty with the South Korean

During his rule there was decrease in trading because their main trading partner, the Soviet Union, had just collapsed. Not only that, but there were also numerous floods and droughts that occurred too. This left North Korea in famine, since there was only a certain amount of farming land, this left Kim Jong-Il to worry about his power. With the remaining amount of farming land, he instead decided to use those resources for the military instead of the citizens experiencing famine at the time. Italo Calvino was an Italian author who wrote a wide variety of stories, such as The Nonexistent Knight and many more. He was a master of postmodern literature which can be seen throughout all his stories, including The Nonexistent Knight. This novella follows Agilulf, a “perfect” yet nonexistent knight, and his acquaintances on quests to seek out their true identity and reveals to us that “where other people exist genuine individuality is never possible.” Through Calvino’s perspective, the perfect individual cannot exist in a world where there is greed, gluttony, lust, and other inimical qualities around him, which ultimately led Agilulf to his doom. Characters in the story cannot achieve that “perfect individuality” that everyone desires, simply because perfection is unattainable, which is depicted through Calvino’s use of satire and postmodern elements. In The Nonexistent Knight, Italo Calvino creates a parodic satire on medieval romances where genuine individuality is not possible, making us question the verisimilitude of the characters in the story through the use of different types of satire, character development, and postmodern themes.

Donald Trump is a republican politician and businessman who was elected on November 8, 2016, as the president of United States taking the power in January of 2017. Trump brought many worries to a lot of people in the U.S.A and abroad which made them unhappy, but his presidency also made many people happy, especially Christians and republicans. I personally did not watch the debates, but I was able to hear about it on people around me, as most of the people that I know wanted Hillary Clinton to win because they saw so much of discrimination on Trump. Trump focused his campaign and debates on focusing on changing America for better, but the better changes were saying was only to give the opportunities to Americans only, cutting off the opportunity
