Recommended: Importance of a zoo

Zoos have been around for a while, most people think they are just for human entertainment, some think that it keeps them from their homes but, they are not for that, they are not just for human enjoyment. I believe that we should have zoos.

Zoos can be very beneficial when it comes to educating people about all types of different animals. Some zoos do have programs to where you can learn more about them, the programs aim to inform the public about issues as well. In the article provided for us states, “These programs aim to inform the public about issues crucial to the biodiversity and conservation.” So not only do they teach about the animals they also teach it they are endangered or their species are at risk of getting endangered, and they teach them why.

Zoos also help endangered animals, if a species were to be close to being extinct, they will catch them and put them in a place that is just like their home environment, so they can breed them and then release them back into the wild when the population gets larger. The article states that, “Many zoos are able to rescue animals from situations where they are being abused or mishandled.” For example, these mexican crucius people left polar bears behind in a place that in not their environment, when they realized that polar bears can not be taken into that state, and that they will not survive in such a state. Luckily, a zoo had taken them, If the polar bears did not get taken into a zoo where they can be taken care of, then things would have went badly.
