Discrimination is a topic, that some are afraid to talk about. In the work place discrimination can be used as a weapon. For example, an employee claiming that they not receive a promotion because of their skin tone. Also there is a lot of misinformation about how different culture feel, and how they understand discrimination to be. This is why I wanted to find an article for this assignment on discrimination.
Even though work places have become more diverse they have not become less racially discriminatory. One way to see what diverse work place is, it is a hostility environment between different races of people. It is not just about whit etic groups that have problems anymore. Now case is coming up with raciness against Mexican-Americans or white Latinos against Afro-Latinos.
Lately interethnic discrimination has been changing. People are seeing the emerging case and are starting to feel safer. Even though supreme court has precedent to the contrary. Supreme court has said no to the fact of saying no question of bias at the workplace. People clam that Latinos like to keep a social distant from African Americans. One case demonstrated the logic of emerging interethnic discrimination case. Afro putamen tutor sued his university employer, over the renew of his appointment. He clamed that there were many discriminations in his housing department. For example, Latinos were against the Hispanics and was casing a disturbance. Since the court did not understand the system they decide too dismissed the claim. The system was weakening because they did not fully understand the color bias may be manifest of racism in the Latino
