As I open the glass doors and step into Palmieri Tyler Law firm, I can still feel that rush of excitement I felt since day one. Working at Palmieri Tyler Law firm has been both rewarding and a privilege. I still remember my first day as an intern, as I walked in, I was rapidly introduced to a respectful paralegal who was working on a major project. As we shared a few words she then asked for my help and so I began my first project at the law firm. I was responsible for creating new labels for her folders and re-organizing the files effectively in order to create a more efficient filing system. Once I finished my 1st project after a month of improving the current filing system I then went on to my 2nd project, as I am currently updating the court laws for the attorneys. At first It took me a few days to realize the importance of my job. As I sat on my desk and thought about my daily task, I realized that my job is so much more than just filing. Everyone at the law firm plays an important role. As I have updated over 50 books of laws thus far, I have become more precise and careful with my work because a silly mistake can result to lawsuits against the Law firm. …show more content…
Every morning I greet everyone and get the same respect as others. I have lunch every day with my co-workers in the downstairs kitchen where we watch the latest season of Masterchef Junior. Any and all questions that I have, they answer with a smile on their face. Comfortable, is the word that definitely describes my experience day to day at work. The other employees in my law firm are really nice to each other and they always have a smile on their faces when I pass by
This field has transformed over the years from being just a clerical task related secretarial or filing clerk job to becoming a specialized profession which requires procedural knowledge of the legal field. In the late seventies, due to the increase of professionals in this growing area, organizations were enacted to represent the ideas and self-determinations. One of the pioneers was a Florida based group named SFPA, whish promoted the concerns of the legal assistants.
NYC Ladders for leaders can help me get one step closer to my ultimate career goal of becoming a forensic psychologist. Today, internships are very important for adding experience and setting a person apart from other applicants for the same job position. It is very difficult attaining employment without education and experience. Last year, I received the opportunity to be part of NYC Ladders for Leaders and it gave me valuable work experience working in a field involving forensic psychology. Another opportunity within NYC Ladders for Leaders will continue to help me gain valuable work experience. Also, another opportunity within NYC Ladders for Leaders internship can continue to give me a competitive edge on the job market, and help me decide if forensic psychology is a career I am willing to pursue in the future.
I worked with the same doctor I usually work with. She's very nice to me and always requests me when I come in to assist. I interacted with the hygienist, dental assistants (which were just pre-dental volunteers), and the front desk assistant. Everyone had such a good spirit today. There is a dentist that often acts as a dental assistant, which makes things easier because she teaches us about how to prep for procedures and I enjoy taking radiographs the most because when I first started dental assisting I wasn't very good at it.
My internship began with a short orientation of KPMG’s office located in the Wells Fargo Building of downtown Minneapolis. After some introductions and a few training sessions that outlined what was expected of us in terms of the rules and laws we were required to follow including disclosure of client and firm information and independence affidavits, for example, we were briefed on our trip to Orlando for National Internship Training which would take place the following work day. Training for Partnership-focused federal tax interns would last a whole week filled with events and educational seminars that would introduce us to tax fundamentals and software tutorials that would be helpful during our time with KPMG. National Internship Training would be the primary training session for every KPMG intern in the nation, hosting thousands of interns assigned to all pillars of accounting (audit, tax, and advisory). During meals and events the interns had opportunities to meet interns from around the country helping to expand our professional and social networks, which I found to be one ...

I hope that through this experience I can grow my understanding of the legal system and its affects on others. I feel as though working diligently with those who are in dire need of legal help will advance me in the path of law at a rapid pace. Being immersed with people who have

D.A., 2010). The goal is to be respectful, approachable, and courteous so that you can build and maintain relationships with the facility’s patients and coworkers while enabling the facility to perform at its maximum ability. Medical office staff is typically the first to greet patients, therefor it is important to maintain a professional and approachable persona via your attire and language. Not only does your professional persona represent you as an individual, it sets the tone for the facility and the expectations of the patient. Always address those in the room with a pleasant, respectful, and kind tone of voice. Greet each patient when they enter the facility, formally address patients and coworkers, and practice small courtesies or graces: holding open facility and elevator doors, help carry bulky or cumbersome items, share your umbrella, say “please” and “thank you”, and smile(Hills, L. Throughout Mock Trial, I have learned how to work with others by cooperating with my teammates, and I realized how important teamwork truly is in accomplishing huge tasks. I have also become confident through my presentations as lawyer and witness, which has stuck with me even after trials have finished. The amount of work that I and other members have put into Mock Trial resulted in me going to Regionals in my first year along with other newbies, as well. Even though the work for Mock Trial was almost too much to bear, I persevered and saw amazing results, showing me that if I truly love something and want to commit to it, then no amount of work is too large. The process has taught me to really appreciate hard work, and I strive to put this same amount of effort into my community through
During my first year of law school, I was particularly challenged by the workload and my concerns about my ability to do as well as my peers. Jerome and I had many personal conversations where he encouraged me and told me to keep working hard. He assured me my performance would ultimately be reflective of how hard I worked.
Whether it was way back when I started working here at Walmart on June 11 2016 to now nearly six months later in November. I have always loved working here. And I would like to thank Walmart again for the opportunity of working here. Because when I started working here I was shy and timid around the customers, not really greeting them as I should have, but now when I see anybody, at work and when I am off the clock, I greet then and wish them a good day. Six months ago if I told myself I would be more comfortable around people, I would think I was crazy.
This placement equipped me to really develop in a professional capacity. It confirmed I am both capable of working as a team player and individually, to balance my own workload whilst assist colleagues. Key to multi-tasking success was my sound organisational and time management skills that allow for unexpected work and prioritisation of competing deadlines. Being flexible, helpful, comfortable and decisive in order to work autonomously meant I slotted into this extremely pressurised and fast-paced setting. Nevertheless, even reasonably self-assured, whenever in doubt, I always sought clarity or guidance from experienced colleagues or supervision.
The demanding nature of the work has given me an added sense of responsibility but also of pride, fulfilment, and greater appreciation for hard work, ultimately making me more mature and dependable.
In addition, this prior coordination allowed me to work with my point of contact, working out details with my set class schedule and the department protocol for internships for each area within the department specializations. My first day at the Sheriff’s department started with the similarities I had with my 20-year military tenure in the United States Army. The initial meet and greet with the point of contact, Mrs. Melissa Spurlock, started with the basic protocols entering a new organization with pleasantries of the introduction and what is expected with the in processing in the organization. The old adage of ‘the first impression is a lasting impression’ upon the organization to make sure that you provide that professional appearance at all times and have the proper paperwork or documentation to complete the in-processing requirements. The walk through of the operational side of the house was very similar to military in-processing requirements with office functions that support each department internally.
I did experience bumps in the road, however, I did not let this sway me. The rule of law and application, in particular, proved to be the most difficult. I took a risk, compiling all my knowledge I acquired on the subject to address these components, which paid off in the end, allowing me to create one of my proudest
