A man with a small heart, the Grinch, once thought, “Maybe christmas, he thought, doesn’t come from a store, maybe Christmas...perhaps...means a little bit more.” This brings a whole new meaning for Christmas. One that makes you think a little bit deeper about the things in your life. Instead of complaining about the presents you didn’t get, or the people you didn’t get to see, you should be thankful for the stuff you did get, and the people you did get to see. This winter break I am looking forward to going skiing, getting to sleep in, and getting to see family.

School of very stressful and having to wake up doesn’t help that matter, at all. Studies show 15% of kids get enough sleep on school nights, that means that 85% of students don’t get as much sleep as they should. Studies also show having breaks improve the mental health of kids. This break I am looking forward to getting enough sleep and improving my mental health.
The final thing I am looking forward to is getting to see family. During winter it is nice to see family. Having them around gets not only me, but my entire family in the Christmas spirit. Finally, it has forever been a yearly tradition for my family to go skiing, but not just my immediate family, the whole family. These are just a few of the reasons why I am looking forward to seeing my family this winter break. This winter break I am looking forward to going skiing, getting to sleep in, and getting to see my family. I am taking the quote by the grinch into careful consideration thinking about what Christmas is really about. Instead of complaining about things we don’t have we should be thankful for the things and people we do have. Some people can’t afford presents.
