plagiarizing, cutting corners, playing dirty, any way you put it, it is still just cheating. It is shameful for any person to do it, but why do some many of us still do it? You cannot even say that poor people, a certain race, or even criminals are the only ones that do it, because even the most worshiped celebrities, writers, and players even do it. Celebrities like Britney Spears, Jay-Z, and even Bob Dylan have all been sued for plagiarizing. Lance Armstrong was caught using steroids in a bicycle race. Even the nationally known football team the New England Patriots were caught deflating footballs during a game. I was even surprised to see J. So what does it mean exactly to cheat after researching this topic for four hours I found that, it means to go about an objective in a way unfair or untrustworthy. There are many ways for someone to cheat on a test or an assignment in a school for example if you brought on an answer sheet into an exam, that would be cheating. If you wrote a paper for a friend or if a friend wrote a paper for you and either of you turned in the paper the other one wrote, that would be cheating. Even if you submit a paper you already turned in to any class, that is also cheating. Those were three major examples of cheating there are also smaller ones like looking at someone else's paper during a test or working with another student on an assignment together without the teacher knowing. Of course, plagiarism is also cheating but I will get into that later. Now that you know what it means to cheat in an academic setting lets see what it means to cheat in an athletic setting. Simply to say, cheating in a sport is to do something against the rules, but what does that even mean? During my research, I found three major ways that people cheat or break the rules in sports, one of them being, using drugs but of course, there is stuff like Meth, cocaine, and heroin. Now if you were to cheat on an assignment or test in high school or college you could be expelled from that school, you would not learn from the test or assignment you cheated on, it will ruin your reputation with the teacher and students who know you cheated. Cheating on schoolwork in either high school or college can also lead to, failing grades, or suspensions. At home, you will probably be grounded and have to do extra chores like dog patrol, trash, kitchen, or laundry duty with a lecture. If you cheated in a sport in high school or college you will probably be Kicked off of the team, have Lower respect from teammates and coaches, and have a Bad reputation in the sports industry. At home, you would probably also have a bunch of more chores to do and be grounded with a lecture. If you plagiarized something during high school or college It can lower your reputation in the environment you are in whether it is school, work, or sports. You could be suspended or even expelled, You could fail the assignment or test you were caught plagiarizing, you could be sued for copyright laws, you could be fired from the job you have, and you would also be grounded, extra chores, and lectures at home too.
