Why would I like to join the British Army? What does it mean for me to become an Officer in the British Army?
There is no such thing in this world which does not have destination to reach. It is very imperative when you see non-swimmers struggling in the swimming pool trying hard to get the skills that they need to float themselves on the water. The reason for them to work hard in the swimming pool could vary from person to person. However, they all do have their set plans to achieve during their time in the swimming pool. Likewise, commissioning into the British Army has been one of the destinations for me to reach and get during my military career. As I honestly believe that I have got the potential to lead the men and women of the British Army at any circumstances. Therefore, commissioning into the British Army for me is the way to progress further ahead to contribute a lot to the Army and to have a better life, and reputation in the society and country as a whole.
As myself being born and brought up in the family whose tradition as well as the profession has always been like serving in the Army with great pride and honour. During my seven years in the British Army; I have never come across the time where I had to think about my second career like doing great in some other fields. The life has been so tremendous throughout this period and as perfect as I expected from them. The US Navy has founded its self with being an organization that will train and activate skilled combat naval personnel. The official mission statement taken off their web site states, “The mission of the Navy is to maintain, train and equip combat-ready naval forces capable of winning wars, deterring aggression and maintaining freedom of the seas.” (http://www.navy.com) The Navy also prides itself on the adventurous spirit it takes to embark on a career in the navy. The slogan used in getting new recruits is “Accelerate your life“. These statements suggest that the Navy is not only clear in its purpose and design, but also dedicated to its end. The clarity of its mission is seen in the extensive training that recruits receive in boot camp and the mental focus directed by their superiors to focus on the mission statement. In recruitment, the Navy seeks young men and women, often bogged down with school and jobs that to an eighteen or nineteen year old seems to be boring and slow paced.
This paper will not bore with the definition of a profession. The United States Army is about more than words, it is about action. The action of over 238 years of tradition and service. The Army is a profession. A profession requires its members to adhere to prolonged training and learn specialized skills. A member of a profession must wholly commit himself and his skills to a calling which is entrusted by the public. A profession provides its members with intrinsic value which motivates beyond financial gain. The Army is a higher calling which demands all of these qualities and more.
In conclusion, the experience is the kind of professionalism and pride that make soldiers respected the world over. It’s the experience that singles one out as someone with unique abilities and unique qualities. The country depends on the military to fulfill the important mission of protecting democracy and keeping peace. Excelling as an individual and achieving impossible goals are motivating reasons to become a part of the Guard. It’s a way to help reach educational or career goals that are set in life.
Military background and history has been in the world for a long time. It goes back as far as Assyrians, Spartans, Aztecs, Romans and Greek. The military purpose is mainly to protect our country and our rights and freedoms. It’s just a part of nature. No one came up with military it just happened and got stronger and stronger over the years. It first started with random people coming together protecting towns and homes and families, and eventually more and more people came together. The three main branches of the military are The Army, Navy, and Marine Corps. All three of these branches are the reason the U.S is how it is. For years I have aspired to become a part of an elite organization such as the military, and more importantly, the United States Navy. Its reputation for instilling high moral character was encouragement for me to develop into a more mature, responsible, and independent young citizen. My journey into the Air Force was one that started off as a business transaction which transformed into one of duty, honor, and service. Most or all of my reasons for joining the Marines are as follows. Ideal- The Marines Embody more of my personal views and ideals then the other branches of the armed services. Loyalty, I respect and love the idea of loyalty to a person or persons...or a cause. To be totally loyal to something without question but to also love and honor that something, that idea is something I long for and adore.
I Corporal Ramirez is striving to become an Officer in the United States Marine Corps. There are many different reasons why I am eager to become an OFficer. At an early age I knew I wanted to be just like my dad, who would always go on deployments, taking care of his sailors, and serving his country proud. Although he was never home I knew he had to be out there making sure that the ship is up and running and that his ship mates were always on deck. As the backbone of the United States Marine Corps I know the importance of being a vital link for my Commander, and all Officers, and Enlisted Marines, in addition I will never forget who I am, and the traditions I must uphold. Comming from a line of faimly mbembers who have served proudly served before me in other branches is one of the main reasons why I wanted to join the Military, I wanted to lead by example, and I know the importance of the livelihood of all the Marines and Sailors under your command.
Many high school students often wonder what they are going to do after graduation. Some might go to college, others will go straight into the workforce while a small amount will join The United States Military Forces. These forces include the Air Force, Army, Navy and of course the Marine Corps. The Marines are a tough branch to get into seeing that there are many mental and physical requirements. Being in the Marine Corps does not only mean being in combat, but becoming a better person. The United States has long been known for having a military presence that few would dare to challenge. The catalyst has not been in having billions in defense funds, it has not been in having huge weapons of mass destruction, it is the heart and spirit of the soldier. I am very proud to be a part of this long and proud tradition of upholding the ideals set forth in the U.S. Constitution. It is something that I would recommend to all willing and able college students. It instills a sense of pride and satisfaction that is matched by no other. As a soldier, there are many options as far as what type of soldier you wish to be. It is similar to choosing a career in the civilian world. The first step in this process is choosing your military branch. There are four main branches in the military; the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines.
[Actually,] I had so many reasons for wanting to do this. The first was for money. The military was willing to train me, feed me, house me, and when I was back home give me cash for college, "up to" forty thousand dollars. At that time I thought that was an incredible deal. Where else in the world could I find an opportunity like this one? [Yet t]he price I would pay wouldn't be worth "up to" forty thousand. Another great reason for joining the Army was to get in shape. I had visions about this ultra lean and strong body I would get from running five miles a day. I was also looking forward to the overall experience of inner strength, confidence, and pride in my country.
