Why would I like to join the British Army? What does it mean for me to become an Officer in the British Army?
There is no such thing in this world which does not have destination to reach. It is very imperative when you see non-swimmers struggling in the swimming pool trying hard to get the skills that they need to float themselves on the water. The reason for them to work hard in the swimming pool could vary from person to person. However, they all do have their set plans to achieve during their time in the swimming pool. Likewise, commissioning into the British Army has been one of the destinations for me to reach and get during my military career. As I honestly believe that I have got the potential to lead the men and women of the British Army at any circumstances. Therefore, commissioning into the British Army for me is the way to progress further ahead to contribute a lot to the Army and to have a better life, and reputation in the society and country as a whole.
As myself being born and brought up in the family whose tradition as well as the profession has always been like serving in the Army with great pride and honour. Therefore, for me joining the Army, specifically “British Army” is like following the tradition of our family and a foot-step of our ancestors. During my seven years in the British Army; I have never come across the time where I had to think about my second career like doing great in some other fields. The life has been so tremendous throughout this period and as perfect as I expected from them. I have able to gain lots from my experiences which is driving large vehicles, and to managing and leading the small groups of soldiers.
