In our world today obtaining medical care is an issue in which many people struggle with, especially when it comes to providing it to children. World hunger is also a major problem people from all over the world face everyday. Despite these difficult circumstances, I personally would never feel the justification to steal in order to save a child's life. There around 42.2 million americans living in food insecure households, this includes 13.1 children. Due to many people living in these situations there many other ways in which one can resolve these issues, it is just a matter of looking for them.
Just like poverty and needing medical care, stealing is just as big of an issue. We are taught from kids that taking away things that do not belong to you is not good due to the negative consequences that can come from it. One can not go to jail for being poor or needing medical care but if someone decides to steal then they are at risk of spending some time in jail, thus losing custody of a child for not being able to provide for them properly. This is why it is

extremely important to find other alternatives. Although it is understandable how difficult not being able to provide the necessities to a child is and why someone would steal in order to save their child's life, it is still not the right thing to do.
Not only would stealing be illegal and put the family in more danger but it would also be a bad influence for the child. The child can grow up thinking stealing is the right thing to do. Instead one can get help from local shelters, federal government programs, no charge clinics, and food banks. Schools can be very helpful when it comes to providing meals for children. Also, there are numerous websites that pertain to nonprofit organizations and give advice on what to do and where to find help. Nonprofit organizations are not hard to find, there are many people who obtain help from these places. Take the national food bank for example, they are a hunger relief organization who help those with food
insecurity. According to the website, healing the children, an organization that provides medical care to children all over the world, there are an estimated 1 billion kids who struggle with medical care and or attention. For these children who are uninsured, applying to programs can really help. If the child were to be really ill and in need of urgent medical assistance, hospitals would not turn away just because the parent is unable to pay the bills. On the contrary they would either offer the help of a social worker or give the options to pay little by little. Although there are many families who can not afford to provide food or medical care for their children, instead of stealing to save their lives they can seek for the support of the numerous organizations willing to help.
When children receive the nutrition they need, they are more likely to move out of poverty than adults. Read for the World. The dense streets of our country make strolling outside on a beautiful and perfect day or evening exhausting. The streets, roads, and sewers are perfusing with grimy looking, foul smelling, still breathing and talking corpses. Panhandling for food, water, clothes, and shelter all while fighting each other to get near you.
Whenever you do not own something that everybody else owns, what can you do not to feel left out? I’ll answer that, most teens decide to steal. Delinquency results among these teens because lower-class values, or focal concerns, encourage behaviors defined as deviant by middle class standards. The delinquent teens do not know better, and sometimes do it to fit in. Also, once they can finally own something they never did their whole own life for free, they go for it. For many people living in poverty, crime is seen as the only opportunity for achieving a higher level of socioeconomic status. Delinquency rates rise daily due to poverty and the only ones we can blame is
I am extremely sorry for what happened, it was unlawful. I understand that shoplifting is wrong. It was an embarrassing experience, it is an experience I intend to learn and grow from. I am sorry for stealing from your store and wasting your time. I promise you this will never ever happen again. I am ashamed of my actions and I promise to never repeat them
Of those, 46.5 million were in poverty (Hunger & Poverty Statistics, 2012). For some individuals’s food insecurity is only a temporary situation, for others it may be for an extended period. Food insecurity due to temporary situations such as unemployment, divorce, major medical or illness can become more long term. The vast majority of these are families with children. The Faces of Food Insecurity Food insecurity does not discriminate; it reaches many segments of society (Whitney, DeBruyne, Pinna, & Rolfes, 2007).
There are many reasons as to why trespassing is bad. It is illegal, it can be dangerous, it is not your place to be and you could cause damages that someone else will have to fix. Also, it will give you a bad reputation with colleges, employers, and in relationships with friends, family, or a significant other. Trespassing is illegal because you are on property that belongs to someone else without their knowledge or consent. You can be arrested, charged, and prosecuted or sentenced just for trespassing which will end up on your record as a criminal offense and ruin your reputation. Part of the reason the owner of a place does not want you or anyone on their property without their knowledge or consent is because people can cause damages to the
Abbott acted both unethically and illegally when he attempted to steal meat from the local corner store. 1“Theft is the act of stealing; specifically: the felonious taking and the removing of the personal property with intent to deprive the rightful owner of it.” Theft is seen to be morally wrong because you are stealing from another person. In society, the ethical thing to do is to pay for the items you are able to take home from the store. Also, illegal because all items have an exchange value either it be goods for goods or goods for money, as it has the knowledge of the owner and a binding contract, that you are now the new owner of the item. Therefore, since Abbott did not pay for the meat he was about to steal from the store, he did not rightfully have a contract which states he owns the meat. Which can cause him to either pay a fine or do jail time under these circumstances. Also, if Abbott was caught, his friend would not be held liable for his actions and all legal blame would do towards Abbott. Ethically, Abbott should have known what his friends were teaching him to do was unethical even if he did not have the money to buy the meat products.
Peter singer argues that it shouldn’t be any reason for Americans to don’t donate money to poor children when they can afford luxuries that are not important for their lives and health. Singer used two examples with two different situations and he tying to motivate readers to donate as much as money they can.
Why do people shoplift? It is the public, sibling, or just want to gain attention. I have been told if I don't want any trouble I should keep my mouth shut. There are approximately 27 million shoplifter and 25 percent are kids, 75 percent are adults. A shoplifter would steal at least twice a week. In my case it was more than twice a week. I soon learned that shoplifting is a controllable real-life game with no real outcome.
There are many children who are either immigrants or refugees who are very ill either from a mental illness or physical illness. There isn’t much help for These kids or parents because everything costs money, but they don’t have any since there isn’t any jobs available and the pay is very low. People see these families don’t need help because they think that they can do it on their own or that they are just lazy people who want everything for free. What these people don’t see is that these families in Central America need very much help since there isn’t really many jobs and pay is very low. The government should be funding more help for these families because children are even getting affected by this. People don’t see that these families
Since humans are imperfect, it is not unusual that one will tell little white lies or take something that he should not. So what makes a person commit fraud and take something valuable enough to be listed as a criminal offense? In order to understand why people steal, one must consider the root of a criminal's decisions. Problems caused by a non-intact family, low parental education level, poor school achievement, conduct problems hyperactivity, and emotional disorders are often associated with stealing (From A Boy To A Man 1395). This means that having only one parent, or none at all, increases the likelihood that one will steal. Parents play a huge role in how children act and many young people imitate their parents' unacceptable social behaviors.
Stealing hurts your reputation and trustworthiness. Having a misdemeanor of theft, or a felony if you get caught three times, makes it hard to find employment, making it hard to support yourself and be a productive member of society. When you get caught, and you will, you have even more to pay for than the five dollar item you decided to steal. When

With the popularity of the Internet, sales for CDs, DVDs, Movies, and many other products have increased. Along with the increase of sales has brought forth an ever increasing problem of illegal media being downloaded. Programs such as Bittorent, Kazaa, and other direct-connect networking programs have allowed the transferring of such illegal media. Downloading song files from the Internet over a free peer to peer network is the moral equivalent of shoplifting music CDs from the local mall.

The United States is currently in the midst of a recession so severe some speculate will last longer than the Great Depression. Various indicators of the economic health such as the unemployment rate and home foreclosures have reached their worst records in decades over the last several months. Given the state of the financial crisis law enforcement agencies have warned of increased criminal activity. Despite the economic turmoil and high levels of unemployment, crime rates have fallen significantly across the United States.
