When it comes to looking at the future I think it is safe to say a lot of people in society typically look at the short end and look at the here and now. In order for us to survive in the future it is important that we start to invest more time into looking into the future. This is why discounting is an important tool that we can use to help guide us in what investments we should make. There are a lot of factors that can make discounting challenging to implement and a lot of factors can impact it, making results hard to obtain accurately, but it allows us to think as to what can happen if we do something now and what impact it will have.
Therefore it is important that individuals, corporations, and nations all start to look at the future impacts of their actions and to plan more. This can give them various profit opportunity as well as giving future generations a chance to sustain themselves in a way that they think is right with the tools that were given to them by the investments made today. It can cause an individual to develop various nervous habits, such as nail biting or causing individuals to pick up other habits in order to help them psychotherapeutically. As stated previously, some of the effects of role stress and burnout, are low retention rates, high staff turnover, decreased quality of care and decreased job satisfaction. According to data, stress has been shown to cause 40% of turnover and half of absenteeism in the workplace.
Generational conflicts, political strife, environmental regulations, stakeholders in big oil, and many more hurdles affect the push to fully sustainable economies around the world and even here in America. In a world where coal, oil, and natural gas are limited, countries are gobbling it all up as fast as they can before other poorer countries come on the grid. Even though America and other countries gobble up these resources the life of the people is still a struggle to meet basic needs. Sustainability is an intermingling of resource use and protection of the “quality of life”, it is met by using resources sparingly and by recycling or reducing the use of other non-renewable resources to provide for our immediate need, but also to conserve and protect the needs of the next generation and to improve the quality of all the lives to come.

Staff behaviors control the performance and capabilities of an organization. Most workers display productive or counterproductive productive behaviors that have effect on workers, clients, and programs. The ability to control these behaviors is a necessary part of delivering exceptional services. Many workers automatically adopt behaviors that fit in with the best interest of the organization. Although these behaviors are common, some employees fail to follow order and create havoc for others around them. Productive behavior allows workers to perform daily functions whereas counterproductive behaviors develop issues that are costly. Good behavior contributes to goals and objectives set by the organization (Britt & Jex, 2008).
The potential ramifications for the employer can be costly when employees succumb to internal and external stressors. To effectively combat job stress and develop a comprehensive stress management program, organizations must be cognizant of several areas that may be contributing factors to an employee’s stress level. Internally, organizations should review the employee’s workload and ensure that they have the necessary skills to complete the tasks they are expected to complete (Ornelas & Kleiner, 2003). They must also work to “motivate, challenge and take full advantage of the employee’s skills and abilities” (Ornelas & Kleiner, 2003). Employee’s job stress can also be decreased by allowing them take an active part in decisions, creating an atmosphere that facilitates a support network, and offering flexibility in their schedules that allows them to address responsibilities outside the workplace (Ornelas & Kleiner, 2003).
